This is a stunning cl site. Very quiet, lovely pitches. Always a warm welcome from Louise and Greg. We also had a lovely breakfast delivered to our motorhome in the morning. We will be back again. Fantastic cl..
Just Perfect
We arrived to the warmest of welcomes, we were shown around the site and given a cup of tea and biscuit while we set up. We left feeling like part of the family.
We were already booked for 2019 but a cancellation came up and we managed to visit in 2018.
'Just perfect' would be enough to summarise the experience we had. Though I will expand a little, Louise, Greg, Harvey and Rufus are the perfect hosts. The pitches are large hardstandings but also with a great amount of grass to both sides, front and rear of your pitch giving you the best of both worlds, hard standing incase the weather turns and lots of grass for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of the site and are immaculately kept. You can park your car and caravan as you like (within reason of course, but no strict rules as on the standard larger sites). The communal fridge in the ‘Hut’ is a great little extra fridge space for all. The ‘Hut’ has lots of helpful files with local walks, dog friendly places to visit, books to borrow, homemade jams and chutneys to purchase and of course lots of info leaflets of the area too. Plus recycling bins, grey waste, chemical waste, EHU and water to each pitch and TV signal was great too.
We enjoyed a tasty Full English breakfast delivered to our awning and of course homemade scones and chocolate cake were generously offered to us too.
This was our first CL experience and I’m sure we have been thoroughly spoilt, other CL’s now have a lot to live up to, the wifi was an added bonus as we do need to keep up with work but we also had a 4G signal and so could set up a hot spot too.
If you are after peace, quiet, rural location (but in easy reach of many great ports and places to visit) this is the place for you. I don’t think anyone could find fault here.
We were planning our next visit whilst we were still here, we were lucky enough to have glorious weather, a little too glorious for me and our dog to be honest and so we have many walks and more places to explore yet which we just couldn’t do due to the heat.
Book soon, you wont regret it and you will have to return.
Fantastic CL
My husband and I stayed here from 19th April for four nights and can’t praise this outstanding CL highly enough. The pitches are roomy, with hardstanding, EHU, independant water supply and wifi. The ‘shed’ is like an en suite, such a bonus. The site is kept spotlessly clean. When we arrived Greg brought us a cup of tea and a kit kat and once we were settled Louise brought us a delicious cream tea. The cooked breakfast that we had delivered to our motorhome was fantastic. On the day we left Louise gave us a chocolate cake for our journey which was as delicious as her cream tea. Louise also makes home made jam which you can purchase which I can recommend. The site is on the border of Devon and Cornwall making it easy to visit many beautiful places. Louise and her husband are extremely helpful and have an outstanding CL. We will certainly be back next time we visit the area even although it is a 500 mile journey from our home in a Scotland.
Poole farm stay
My wife and i stayed here for a long weekend starting May the fourth be with you. On arrival we were greeted by Louise with a cup of tea and kit kats. After setting up Louise then brought over a delicious afternnon tea of scones cream and jam.
We were lucky with the weather with glorious sunshine throughout, the site has wonderful countryside views with its own dog excercise ares with a stream running through it.
The hut with the shower room and toilet was immaculate.
Louise brought us homemade chocolate cake that was delicious as well as ice creams during the hot weather.
Greig and Louise are perfect hosts and go out of their way to make your stay a great one.
We are fairly new to caravanning but this is the best park weve stayed at and will definitely be returning.
By the way, have the cooked breakfast, its honestly the best.

Simply The Best
For those members that think a CL is pitching up in a field then think again.
Although this site is at the top end of CL pitch prices its worth every penny.
The pitches are spacious and all are hard standing with EHU and independant water supply. The "Shed" is a lovely clean well kept modern shower room which also facilitates an information area, fridge for use by campers, and Louise has an honesty jar where she sales her delicious home made jams, marmalades and chutneys.
Louise the owner and Greg her husband welcomed us warmly with a quick introduction of where all site facilities were then helped us to our pitch. Just after getting set up Louise arrived with a complimentry cream tea. This site is part of a B&B and you can order a full english breakfast the day before to be delivered the next morning to your caravan, we were told it was fabulous although we did not have ourselves.
The site is next to the river Tamar which has a family of Otters tthat can occasionally be seen early morning or late evening,
All in all a well positioned site as its on the border (literally) of Devon and Cornwall so St.Austell, Padstow, Bude, Port Issac are all within easy reach.
Perfect Camping Location
We stayed at Pool Farm CL in March 2018 and we thoroughly recommend this campsite. There are 5 hardstandings with electric hook up, "The Hut" is perfect, it has a proper shower and the facilities are very clean. There is a fridge in the entrance of the Hut too so perfect for keeping things cold.
Louise and Greg are excellent hosts and are really welcoming, they will even help you put your awning up. We love the personal touches they provide like the lovely shower gel and hand soap, and the cream tea was delicious. This CL is more than a campsite!
We have a few more weekend breaks booked here, it's a superb location or exploring the surrounding areas.
Thank you and see you very soon x
Exceptional CL
We stayed at Poole Farm CL for 18 days and loved the site so much we have booked to come back in October. Louise, Greg and Harvey are wonderful hosts, they make you feel so welcome. Like other reviewers we really enjoyed our cream teas (we moved pitch so we could stay on longer than the original 14 days we had booked and they kindly gave us another cream tea!) The hut has a bathroom as good as any you would find in an hotel and is kept spotlessly clean. The pitches are large with deep gravel. Louise offers a wonderful cooked breakfast that is brought to your van at a time of your choice and it was delicious, she also made 2 super cakes while we were staying which we thoroughly enjoyed. We are really looking forward to our return in October.
Easter Eggsellence
We have just spent one of the wettest Easter holidays in our van at this wonderful little site. We arrived in the rain to be greeted by Louise with a very welcome cup of tea and biscuits. Once set up we were then treated to a delicious cream tea delivered to our awning and on Easter Sunday we returned from a long (and wet) cycle ride along the Camel Trail to Easter eggs and an arrangement of spring flowers waiting for us in the awning. Nothing is too much trouble for Louise and Greg who made us really welcome. We didn’t use the facilities in the hut but they were spotless and even had a comprehensive list of camping essentials to purchase should we have forgotten anything. Every detail seems to be catered for and it would have been nice to have some sunshine to sit by the babbling stream looking for otters and kingfishers - ah well, we’ll just have to return in the summer.

Cold weather - warm welcome.
This is quite simply the best CL site we have stayed on after nine years of touring Britain. The hospitality and friendliness shown to us throughout our three-week stay in February by Louise and Greg were truly exceptional. They have something very special at Poole Farm and although we are trying to see as many different places as possible, feel we will be drawn back again.
PITCH PERFECT
Another lovely weekend stay at Louise and Greg's CL site. This cl is beautifully laid out with ample room between pitches. The toilet/shower room is exceptionally clean. Once again we were greeted with a very informative welcome pack including a Bonio for our greyhound and not forgetting a lovely complimentary cream tea.
Greg, Louise, Harvey and Rufus the dog are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble.
There are other services available, for example, you can pre-order a daily newspaper, pre-order croissants, or try there delicious home cooked breakfast...... delivered to your pitch, which is amazing.
It is a lovely peaceful cl site, the best we've visited. highly recommended.
