There’s not much more that I can add to what others have written before. This CL is immaculate. The owners, Greg and Lou, go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It’s true, the cuppa on arrival, the cream tea and the welcome you receive can’t be beaten. The site is ideally located to access the A30 so, it makes it’s a good location to explore either Devon or Cornwall.
If you’ve been tempted to try it but haven’t yet then I suggest you do because I guess it’s going to very, very popular.
Thank you to Harvey for the delivery of the baked cake on the night before we left. Also, I have to say that Rufus (the dog) smile was the most cutest thing I’ve ever seen. The whole family work hard to deliver a first class caravanning experience and to make you feel at home. If I could give you 10 stars, I would.
We’ll be back, that’s for sure! Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
Still Perfection
Our second visit to Poole Farm, Greg,Louise,Harvey and not forgetting Rufus(a very friendly Springer Spaniel) gave us the same lovely warm greeting on our arrival for a 2 week stay in September. The C.L. and Hut with well kept recycling area, which was emptied regularly was immaculate, as we sited the van, a very welcome cup of coffee arrived. Later an excellent cream tea was delivered by Greg, a tasty treat. Louise did a load of washing for us, fantastic service. We had the english breakfast twice and the croissants on other mornings. All delivered to the caravan at the time we wanted. What a start to a day, superb value and thoroughly enjoyed. The treats Louise baked and the ice creams Harvey brought round were just some of the extra efforts that made you feel more than welcome. We cannot imagine why the site did not win CL of the year but they are surely destined to win several more awards in years to come. Thanks to all of you for another lovely stay, we would love to return.

A superb site in every respect
Greg and Louise each have 'proper jobs' but most of their time seems to be spent on looking after the visitors to this most attractive CL. We were lucky to secure a five night booking as this CL is fully booked for much of the year with many people returning again and again.
The whole site is beautifully presented, with gravel hardstandings and water points adjacent to each pitch. Sadly my water hose was too short but Greg came to the rescue as he was able to sell me an extension hose from his mini 'caravan spares shop'. Panic over.
We did not make use of the opportunity to have full English breakfasts delivered to the door (which we now regret) but were able to savour the freshly baked ginger cake presented by Louise. The welcome booklet and the availability of local information in 'The Hut' was appreciated.
The location of this site gave us the opportunity to explore this most interesting area which forms the Devon/Cornwall boundary. The narrow lanes can be a driver's challenge but one soon learns how to make use of passing places.
It's just a shame that the site is around 320 miles from home - but I'm sure we'll make the journey again sometime.
Perfection
Not very often am I inclined to write comments/reviews but this CL is magnificent.
We have caravanned for a number of years and always stayed on Club sites - this was our first CL stay - happened upon it whilst looking for site near to where a course I was attending.
Everything was first class - booking, arrival, welcome etc etc. Greg helped my husband set up whilst Louise came up trumps with coffee. Site was immaculate and quiet and the extras - home made cakes delivered to caravan, delicious cream tea, hot tasty breakfasts ‘made with love’ delivered to caravan and home made jams and chutneys available to buy. So many little things going the extra mile eg radio in the shower hut.
Almost afraid to praise too highly since the chances of getting in next time will be decreased but this CL is fully worthy of all the praise I can give it - in the comment book in the information area I wrote that words failed me so I could only use one
“PERFECTION”

Best Ever
We have just come back from a 12 night stay on this wonderful CL, first time we have visited. This is the best CL we have stayed on in all our 26years of caravaning. Louise,Greg and Harvey go the extra mile. It’s a beautiful kept site, shower/toilet ‘hut’ immaculate at all times, being spoilt with hot drinks and cake on arrival, ice creams and homemade treats through the stay, paper delivery and more. We were made to feel part of the family including Rufus the springer spaniel. Everything we might of needed was throught of, even a great bar b q with the family and the other caravaners. So much so we have booked for next year. Well done Louse, Greg and Harvey we didn’t want to leave ‘Heaven’

A perfect holiday
We cannot thank Greg, Louise and Harvey enough for the time and effort and investment into both the site and their visitors. The site itself is immaculate, with spacious hardstandings, which kept everything clean despite some rain during our visit. The warmth of the welcome was lovely, and the cup of tea on arrival, not to mention the treats throughout the week added to the special feel of this place. The Hut houses an impressive shower/toilet facility, cleaned daily, with an information room, with delicious homemade jams and marmalade for sale. We took advantage of a full English breakfast delivered to our caravan, which one can order by 6pm the previous evening, along with croissants and pastries. Louise and Greg are a real source of local information on places to visit. We truly relaxed here, and were very sorry to have to leave. We'll be back!

Amazing Site
To start with a very big thank you to Greg Louise Harvey and Rufus for a wonderful stay. Upon arrival we were greeted with a hot drink and cream teas, the treats didn’t stop there both weeks we were treated to homemade cakes by Louise which were delicious. Harvey does an ice cream run around the site and often seen doing jobs too. The site is very well maintained and looked after by Greg who is always on hand if you need anything. There is a river that runs along the bottom of the site. Also there’s a swinging chair which is brilliant to sit and watch the world go by on. The toilets and showers are always clean and tidy.
Definitely one of the best sites we have stayed at run by a wonderful family, nothing was ever too much trouble or bother.
Thank you all once again!
WILL BE RETURNING NEXT YEAR!! - What a super place and location.
My wife and I arrived on the 3rd August for an 8 night stay at Poole Farm. What a superb CL site this is. Cream teas were brought to our caravan once our setting up was completed, homemade scones and jam were very delicious. Louise, Greg and Harvey's attention to detail and there motivation in ensuring every aspect of the site is maintained perfectly, certainly makes this the best CL we have ever visited. The air of peace and tranquility was exceptional and the country side views from the site are very relaxing. Visiting places of interest, which are many and varied, both in Cornwall and Devon are very easy with access to the A30 and A38 trunk roads. Thank you so much for a most enjoyable stay and look forward to staying with you all in 2020.

Fabulous
I have just returned from a fabulous 2 week break at Poole Farm CL site with my husband, 2 sons and dog. This place is a hidden gem in fact I was in 2 minds whether to leave a review for fear of it being impossible to book a return visit as everyone will want to stay here!
Louise, Gregg, Harvey and even Rufus(the springer spaniel) were fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble.
During our stay Louise delivered a complementary cream tea, and delicious cakes on 2 occasions, and during our first week hosted a delicious BBQ for all the campers, and included my parents who were staying in their beautiful house in the B&B.
The site has everything that you would expect in a 5 star campsite - electrics, own water tap and a pretty bathroom which was always spotlessly clean and included some lovely complimentary toiletries.
There is a small field attached for dog walking which includes a swing seat for enjoying the countryside views - a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine and read a book in peace and quiet whilst the dog has a run around.
There is a little stream next to the caravan pitches and on several nights we could hear otters - unfortunately we didn't see them but to hear them and know that they were so close by to our caravan was amazing.
This really is a truly splendid site and I would not hesitate to recommend it if you enjoy 5 star and peace and quiet (apart from the sounds of birds and otters! ) - it should be Campsite of the Year, 2nd place is not good enough!
I will definitely be returning - if I am luckily enough to get a pitch!
Thank you to Gregg, Louise, Harvey and Rufus for looking after us so well and making it such a fabulous holiday.
