A wonderful site

This was our first ever outing in our new motorhome. Greg and Louise were just wonderful, so welcoming, and greeted us with a welcome cup of tea. The site was easy to find and access. We could not have picked a better 'first time'. The facilities are superb, pitches are first class and the environment could not be improved. What a great location. Our thanks to Greg and family for such a lovely three days stay. We will return!

What a place!

What a wonderful place! I have stayed at some excellent CL's but Poole Farm takes the biscuit! I was so surprised by Greg's kind offer to make me a cup of tea when I arrived in the pouring rain I said no, thank you! I've never stayed any site, large or small where tea has been offered on arrival! He took time to show me the facilities, and brought me a welcome pack with a lovely hand written card from the family, and details of all the services they offer - newspapers, breakfasts, jam, preserves etc. The hut with the shower, toilet, information room and elsan closet was immaculate at all times, and the complimentary toiletries in there another bonus. As was the cream tea that Greg delivered the following afternoon! The gravel pitches are spacious, with plenty of grass round them, and having a water tap as well as electric to each pitch is great. Phone signal, tv reception, and free WiFi, Greg and Louise seem to have thought of everything. They even managed to arrange a few hours of dry weather for me each day so I could go for walks using the laminated maps so helpfully provided in the Hut! I really couldn't have asked for more. Very much looking forward to my next visit to Poole Farm. Thank you Greg and Louise!

Wonderful

Louise and her husband and Poole Farm are wonderful. The site is in fantastic condition both clean and smart. We have been on many CL's all over the country and believe it or not the cleanliness of the 'facilities' is mostly pretty poor. Poole Farm however was a real blessing on that point, Louise cleaned the facilities every day without fail. Top Marks from us.

Just perfect, 1st visit but not the last.

What a lovely welcome from Louise, showed us round the C.L.and how the "HUT" (shower, toilet, fridge, books and leaflets on the attractions in the area, even O.S maps to borrow along with lots of walking routes) also there were jams etc to purchase. As we set up we were brought a cup of coffee and cake. Then after we had relaxed a superb cream tea was delivered. In the 43 years I have been vanning I have never had a welcome like that. I had a problem connecting the water supply to my aquaroll, Greg provided the extension hose and even made sure it all worked ok. the site is excellent, hardstandings with plenty of grass and all the recycling you possibly want. We had croissants on several days and I had breakfasts all delivered and cooked by Louise, they were superb value and extremely filling.Several days, cakes or biscuits were delivered to the van by Harvey and even the dog Rufus gives you a warm welcome. The whole family deserve to win more awards for the effort they put in, needless to say we have booked for 2019 Thank you once again for a wonderful holiday on your lovely C.L.

As always an immaculate site,Greg and Louise work so hard to keep the site in tip top condition.Very friendly welcome is very warm, and Louise bake a great cream tea.Site is down a narrow lane, but we have a large caravan, and have not had any problem.Loads to do in the surrounding area,or just sit and enjoy the peace, and nature that surrounds the site.

Just Perfect

We arrived to the warmest of welcomes, we were shown around the site and given a cup of tea and biscuit while we set up. We left feeling like part of the family. We were already booked for 2019 but a cancellation came up and we managed to visit in 2018. 'Just perfect' would be enough to summarise the experience we had. Though I will expand a little, Louise, Greg, Harvey and Rufus are the perfect hosts. The pitches are large hardstandings but also with a great amount of grass to both sides, front and rear of your pitch giving you the best of both worlds, hard standing incase the weather turns and lots of grass for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of the site and are immaculately kept. You can park your car and caravan as you like (within reason of course, but no strict rules as on the standard larger sites). The communal fridge in the ‘Hut’ is a great little extra fridge space for all. The ‘Hut’ has lots of helpful files with local walks, dog friendly places to visit, books to borrow, homemade jams and chutneys to purchase and of course lots of info leaflets of the area too. Plus recycling bins, grey waste, chemical waste, EHU and water to each pitch and TV signal was great too. We enjoyed a tasty Full English breakfast delivered to our awning and of course homemade scones and chocolate cake were generously offered to us too. This was our first CL experience and I’m sure we have been thoroughly spoilt, other CL’s now have a lot to live up to, the wifi was an added bonus as we do need to keep up with work but we also had a 4G signal and so could set up a hot spot too. If you are after peace, quiet, rural location (but in easy reach of many great ports and places to visit) this is the place for you. I don’t think anyone could find fault here. We were planning our next visit whilst we were still here, we were lucky enough to have glorious weather, a little too glorious for me and our dog to be honest and so we have many walks and more places to explore yet which we just couldn’t do due to the heat. Book soon, you wont regret it and you will have to return.

Fantastic CL

My husband and I stayed here from 19th April for four nights and can’t praise this outstanding CL highly enough. The pitches are roomy, with hardstanding, EHU, independant water supply and wifi. The ‘shed’ is like an en suite, such a bonus. The site is kept spotlessly clean. When we arrived Greg brought us a cup of tea and a kit kat and once we were settled Louise brought us a delicious cream tea. The cooked breakfast that we had delivered to our motorhome was fantastic. On the day we left Louise gave us a chocolate cake for our journey which was as delicious as her cream tea. Louise also makes home made jam which you can purchase which I can recommend. The site is on the border of Devon and Cornwall making it easy to visit many beautiful places. Louise and her husband are extremely helpful and have an outstanding CL. We will certainly be back next time we visit the area even although it is a 500 mile journey from our home in a Scotland.

Poole farm stay

My wife and i stayed here for a long weekend starting May the fourth be with you. On arrival we were greeted by Louise with a cup of tea and kit kats. After setting up Louise then brought over a delicious afternnon tea of scones cream and jam. We were lucky with the weather with glorious sunshine throughout, the site has wonderful countryside views with its own dog excercise ares with a stream running through it. The hut with the shower room and toilet was immaculate. Louise brought us homemade chocolate cake that was delicious as well as ice creams during the hot weather. Greig and Louise are perfect hosts and go out of their way to make your stay a great one. We are fairly new to caravanning but this is the best park weve stayed at and will definitely be returning. By the way, have the cooked breakfast, its honestly the best. Charlie and Toni

Simply The Best

For those members that think a CL is pitching up in a field then think again. Although this site is at the top end of CL pitch prices its worth every penny. The pitches are spacious and all are hard standing with EHU and independant water supply. The "Shed" is a lovely clean well kept modern shower room which also facilitates an information area, fridge for use by campers, and Louise has an honesty jar where she sales her delicious home made jams, marmalades and chutneys. Louise the owner and Greg her husband welcomed us warmly with a quick introduction of where all site facilities were then helped us to our pitch. Just after getting set up Louise arrived with a complimentry cream tea. This site is part of a B&B and you can order a full english breakfast the day before to be delivered the next morning to your caravan, we were told it was fabulous although we did not have ourselves. The site is next to the river Tamar which has a family of Otters tthat can occasionally be seen early morning or late evening, All in all a well positioned site as its on the border (literally) of Devon and Cornwall so St.Austell, Padstow, Bude, Port Issac are all within easy reach.
