Fantastic site

Poole Farm
We booked this site for a 5 day break over Easter 2024 (had to delay one day due to high winds) Greg the owner called us on route to say all vans that were leaving had left so we had clear route down the narrow entrance road (about 1/2 mile) on arrival at site we were greeted by Greg who welcomed to site and explained the pitch location etc. He also offered free tea and biscuits once we had set up. The site itself is beautifully kept with a lovely heated shower room and toilet along with an information room which has a stock of essential items if you have forgotten anything. It also has a stock on lovely home made chutneys and frozen meals. Not long after we set up Greg and Lou came round with some free home made hot cross buns, Easter eggs and a vase of Daffodils which was really lovely. They also supplied a free cream tea the following day which again was freshly cooked. They also do Sunday roast for £11.50 which we had IT WAS AMAZING and followed by a pudding we could hardly move the rest of the day Ha Ha. This is not the cheapest CL however it is the BEST ONE we have ever stayed on in 20YRS of caravanning all the made more special by Greg and Lou, we will definitely be returning Bryn and Pam Matthews

Perfect Site

Poole Farm
This was our first trip to Poole Farm and it won't be our last. We had a really relaxing long weekend. It is so conveniently located for visits to numerous English Heritage and National Trust properties and stunning coastline all nearby. We were spoilt for choice. One night we had an amazing display of the night sky as there is hardly any light pollution. Greg and Lou have thought of everything. They are amazing hosts, we were given a delicious warm homemade complementary cream tea delivered to our caravan. We were also offered a cooked Sunday roast, pizza, cook breakfast and a lovely choice of home cooked meals. There is also a great selection of frozen home cooked meals available too. The facilities are so clean, warm and tidy. It's the extra touches that go a long way including complementary toiletries and a radio in the shower room. Washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, selection of homemade preserves, book swap in the information and washing up room. There are also plenty of circular walks from the site. All pitches are level, nicely spaced out and fully serviced including Wifi. Greg and Lou work so hard. This really is a gem of a site, we will definitely be back. Thank you Greg and Lou

Amazing

Poole Farm
Wow just wow....from the friendly welcome,to ensuring your all ok to the fantastic home cooked food available (at a good price) you cannot miss the opportunity to stay here! A year into our motorhome journey we were so impressed with our visits to this site last year that we had to book again this year (several times). Fantastic place to chill and unwind but you may need a car to explore what's on offer in and around the surrounding area. Lou and Greg are fantastic host and deserve all the accolade they get. Until our next visit ...which there will be👍 Paul and Carol X

Idyllic

Poole Farm
We have been very fortunate to stay on some beautiful CLs , however Poole Farm is exceptional. The location is idyllic, set in the peaceful Devon countryside alongside a tributary of the River Tamar. The pitches are generous and fully serviced & the amenities are excellent. It is the finishing touches that set this site apart. For example, the shower hut was delightfully warm even on a freezing cold January day & having a little radio available is such a homely touch. There is a fabulous dog wash complete with shampoos. Both our Spaniels received welcome treats & a complimentary cream tea was on offer for us humans too. Lou & Greg’s homely touches throughout the site are evident, from bird feeders on every pitch to jams & chutneys available to purchase. There is also an extensive list of meals available to order from Lou if you don’t fancy cooking too. There is very little light pollution and if there is a clear night, the stars are just amazing. Don’t hesitate to book a pitch on this fantastic CL, you certainly won’t regret it.

A very Happy Christmas stay.

Poole Farm
A first for us Christmas away in the caravan. What a lovely few days we had. They weather was not it's best and Greg kindly helped us when we had a problem with one side of our awning. We had decided to have the Christmas dinner which is offered as an extra, that along with welcome hamper were superb. All home made by Lou herself. We have stayed a few times before and can honestly say Poole farm is one of the best places for a lovely relaxed break. As always the facilities are too notch. We were very lucky to book for Christmas 2024,but hopefully will manage a stay before then.😊
