Fantastic stay

What a great place Poole farm is. Beautifully maintained, fantastic welcome from Greg and Louise, lots of lovely extra touches. The complimentary cream tea was lovely after a days walking. Good location for lovely walks along quiet lanes and footpaths. Very good, immaculately kept dog run. Great opportunity for bird watching and peaceful evenings in lovely surroundings. Wished we could stay longer but we will be back!

A fantastic CL with great owners

Stayed at Poole Farm over Christmas this year (should have included New Year but covid lockdowns meant sadly, we had to leave early). However, this CL is excellent and a credit to owners Greg & Louise. There are 5 large hardstanding pitches with EHU and water supply. Bins on each pitch. A very clean shower block, excellent covid protection on each pitch and around all communal facilities. There is a secure dog field on site where you can safely let your dogs off their leads. We were given a warm welcome by Greg who presented us with a hamper of home made chutney, jam & pickles, wine & chocolates and even a couple of treats for the dogs. We were also given a clotted cream tea the next day, home made shortbread biscuits and mince pies and mulled wine on Christmas Eve. We were offered a three course Christmas Dinner (extra cost) which we booked, it was delivered to our van at lunchtime, and it was absolutely delicious. They also had a breakfast menu which we didn't sample but wished we had. The location is easily accessible down a long, single track country lane off the main road from Launceston. Don't follow your sat nav from the A30 though or you will end up in the town centre negotiating some very tight corners and narrow roads. You will get info from Greg & Louise advising of your best approach so make sure you follow it. If you are staying in your caravan with transport there is so much to do within a short drive with Launceston just 10 minutes and the north Cornwall coast about 40 minutes. If you are travelling by motor home, you would need advice on where to get public transport to get around. We would highly recommend this CL.

Great attention to detail

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Poole Farm. We received a lovely welcome from Greg and the cup of tea made awning erection a much more relaxed affair! The site is beautifully maintained and the pitches are spacious. Covid security is taken seriously but in a practical and reassuring manner. Breakfast was excellent and a real treat, as was a cream tea and cake (“because it was Saturday”!!!). Thank you Louise and Greg for a lovely stay.

Bordering on perfect camping

Our recent stay at Poole Farm's campsite was a real success for us. The hardstanding was perfect for our motorhome, and communucation was excellent from the time of booking right up to our departure. We were welcomed with a cream tea, and ordered breakfast on two mornings which was delivered to our pitch - luxury! The information on local walks was very informative, and allowed us to enjoy days without driving although we also enjoyed days out during our stay. Louise and Greg were charming hosts, and could not have been more helpful. Poole Farm is open year round, and we are already looking forward to our next stay in this outstanding location in the not too distant future.

Pitch perfect

We have just finished 6 nights at Poole Farm in our large motorhome. No issues with access. It’s a brilliant CL, so well laid out and maintained. The shower and toilet facility was spotless. WiFi is really fast. Loved the adjacent dog walking field with the swing chair at the top. As for the complementary cream tea and all the treats, yum! Greg and Louise are just fantastic hosts and no surprise the site is so popular. We were very lucky and got a last minute cancellation, but may go back again out of season as each pitch has hard standing so it’s an all year round site. Great base for touring both Cornwall and Devon. Happy to give it the highest recommendation.

Best CL on the planet!

We have stayed at Poole Farm CL a number of times and it is without doubt our favourite site of all. Peaceful and quiet. Wonderful surroundings. Louise and Greg are wonderful hosts. Don’t go, we want to keep it for ourselves!

Five Stad

Just returned from a weeks stay at Poole Farm CL. We have been to many CL’s and this has to be the best! Louise and Greg are excellent hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Louise even drove out to guide us to the site, when we foolishly didn’t follow their directions. Large pitches in a quiet and beautiful setting. Plenty of space to relax after a day out visiting one of the many interesting places within easy reach. We enjoyed going to Launceston Castle, Looe, Polperro, Widemouth Bay, Boscastle, Cotehele and Lanhydrock National Trust. Can thoroughly recommend the cooked breakfasts and pastries delivered to the caravan. What a treat! Many thanks for a fabulous stay. We will return.

It’s as good as you’ve heard!

We’ve heard a lot about this site over the years and have been meaning to stay but have never been organised enough to book early. We were very lucky indeed however, to be the first to see a last minute cancellation for the August bank holiday weekend and we booked it up straight away. The site is as described by the many positive reviews; a warm welcome, helpful owners, beautiful location, large immaculate pitches etc. It really can’t be faulted. What made it special for us was our beautiful large pitch, the tranquility, the country lane walks from the door and the extra touches like the homemade cakes, delivered without asking, non gratis. We took full advantage of the very tasty cooked breakfast delivered to our van - now that was a real treat. We’ve never had that before and we had croissants delivered on another morning too. We were pleased that our dog was very happy there. He enjoyed the on site dog walk, the country lanes nearby and further afield to Witherdon Woods, Black Rock beach and Roadford Lake. It was nice for him to have a grassy area on our pitch too. He was even given a welcome present on arrival. We only live 35 minutes away but this truly felt like we were on holiday and we are now going to book for next year. Thank you Greg, Louise, Harvey and Rufus See you soon xx

Can’t keep away

We have been to Poole Farm before and will be back. Such a friendly Family site. From when you first arrive to the time you leave, you are made to feel like a family friend. You get spoilt with hot drinks and cake on arrival and homemade cake goodies through your stay, delicious ( I’m sure we put on weight by the end of our stay yum) Homemade Jams, chutneys for sale are of the best quality. The site it’s self is kept to top conditions. Everything clean, well kept and it goes above and beyond making your stay the very best. If you need help with anything Lou and Gregg do there best to help. Harvey is such a pleasant young man, always ready with a smile and chat. Not forgetting Rufus the lovely Springer Spaniel, who makes you welcome and your dog. It’s FIRST CLASS
