Best Ever

We have just come back from a 12 night stay on this wonderful CL, first time we have visited. This is the best CL we have stayed on in all our 26years of caravaning. Louise,Greg and Harvey go the extra mile. It’s a beautiful kept site, shower/toilet ‘hut’ immaculate at all times, being spoilt with hot drinks and cake on arrival, ice creams and homemade treats through the stay, paper delivery and more. We were made to feel part of the family including Rufus the springer spaniel. Everything we might of needed was throught of, even a great bar b q with the family and the other caravaners. So much so we have booked for next year. Well done Louse, Greg and Harvey we didn’t want to leave ‘Heaven’

A perfect holiday

We cannot thank Greg, Louise and Harvey enough for the time and effort and investment into both the site and their visitors. The site itself is immaculate, with spacious hardstandings, which kept everything clean despite some rain during our visit. The warmth of the welcome was lovely, and the cup of tea on arrival, not to mention the treats throughout the week added to the special feel of this place. The Hut houses an impressive shower/toilet facility, cleaned daily, with an information room, with delicious homemade jams and marmalade for sale. We took advantage of a full English breakfast delivered to our caravan, which one can order by 6pm the previous evening, along with croissants and pastries. Louise and Greg are a real source of local information on places to visit. We truly relaxed here, and were very sorry to have to leave. We'll be back!

Amazing Site

To start with a very big thank you to Greg Louise Harvey and Rufus for a wonderful stay. Upon arrival we were greeted with a hot drink and cream teas, the treats didn’t stop there both weeks we were treated to homemade cakes by Louise which were delicious. Harvey does an ice cream run around the site and often seen doing jobs too. The site is very well maintained and looked after by Greg who is always on hand if you need anything. There is a river that runs along the bottom of the site. Also there’s a swinging chair which is brilliant to sit and watch the world go by on. The toilets and showers are always clean and tidy. Definitely one of the best sites we have stayed at run by a wonderful family, nothing was ever too much trouble or bother. Thank you all once again!

WILL BE RETURNING NEXT YEAR!! - What a super place and location.

My wife and I arrived on the 3rd August for an 8 night stay at Poole Farm. What a superb CL site this is. Cream teas were brought to our caravan once our setting up was completed, homemade scones and jam were very delicious. Louise, Greg and Harvey's attention to detail and there motivation in ensuring every aspect of the site is maintained perfectly, certainly makes this the best CL we have ever visited. The air of peace and tranquility was exceptional and the country side views from the site are very relaxing. Visiting places of interest, which are many and varied, both in Cornwall and Devon are very easy with access to the A30 and A38 trunk roads. Thank you so much for a most enjoyable stay and look forward to staying with you all in 2020. Phil and Pauline Edgell

Fabulous

I have just returned from a fabulous 2 week break at Poole Farm CL site with my husband, 2 sons and dog. This place is a hidden gem in fact I was in 2 minds whether to leave a review for fear of it being impossible to book a return visit as everyone will want to stay here! Louise, Gregg, Harvey and even Rufus(the springer spaniel) were fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble. During our stay Louise delivered a complementary cream tea, and delicious cakes on 2 occasions, and during our first week hosted a delicious BBQ for all the campers, and included my parents who were staying in their beautiful house in the B&B. The site has everything that you would expect in a 5 star campsite - electrics, own water tap and a pretty bathroom which was always spotlessly clean and included some lovely complimentary toiletries. There is a small field attached for dog walking which includes a swing seat for enjoying the countryside views - a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine and read a book in peace and quiet whilst the dog has a run around. There is a little stream next to the caravan pitches and on several nights we could hear otters - unfortunately we didn't see them but to hear them and know that they were so close by to our caravan was amazing. This really is a truly splendid site and I would not hesitate to recommend it if you enjoy 5 star and peace and quiet (apart from the sounds of birds and otters! ) - it should be Campsite of the Year, 2nd place is not good enough! I will definitely be returning - if I am luckily enough to get a pitch! Thank you to Gregg, Louise, Harvey and Rufus for looking after us so well and making it such a fabulous holiday.

A Place to Return

Just spent over 2 weeks at this fabulous relaxing CL to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Louise, Greg, Harvey and not forgetting Rufus made our stay memorable, they were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival with coffee and cake, we also sampled the cooked breakfast and croissants which were all amazing, and arrived at our caravan piping hot. We will not forget Harvey calling round on a hot afternoon with a choice of ice cream. Greg keeps the grounds immaculate and Louise’s cooking skills extend to the preserves and pickles which are available. The Hut is kept immaculate where there is plenty of space for showering. The recycling area, grey waste and chemical toilet emptying site were kept to a high standard. This CL was faultless in our eyes. Louise, Greg & Harvey went over and above to make our stay the best it could be, not forgetting Rufus who loved playing with our dog Ellie in the dog walking area. We cannot wait to return.

Perfect

This is a lovely CL. If the beautiful countryside, peace & quiet, immaculate facilities aren't enough then try the full English breakfast provided by the friendly and welcoming site owners. I will definitely be going back.

Great CL, first rate

What a fantastic site, it’s the best CL site we have stayed on, lovely welcome on arrival, friendly owners, great location, beautifully maintained site and nice places to visit within a short drive. The hospitality was exceptional, after we had pitched up, we received a welcome cuppa and some homemade cake, our 2 small dogs also received their own welcome pack, then later on a traditional cream tea, the hospitality didn’t stop there throughout our stay. Having had a long journey we decided to order breakfast for our first morning “great and very reasonable price”, we also ordered fresh croissants for breakfast during the rest of our stay, it arrive at our caravan at the designated time, a small hut that sold homemade jam’s and chutney’s to order, very tasty. We will defiantly stay at this site in the future, the owners most defiantly went the extra mile which is why they have consistently won so many awards.

Easter Break

This is a return visit to Poole Farm as we stayed here Christmas 2017 which we received a great welcome then and I have to say we have received the same welcome some 12 months later. This is a very well thought out CL due to owners being caravan club members and laid out really well with electric and water to each pitch. The CL has a toilet and shower room for use called “The Hut” but you can be assured it is far from being a hut it is very well decorated and kept immaculate by the owners. On arrival we received a complimentary lovely cream tea with homemade scones from Louise and as we are here over Easter the owners young son delivered warm homemade Hot Cross buns on good Friday then to top it all and we were astonished when young Harvey came across Easter Sunday with 2 Easter eggs , Easter cake and a lovely array of flowers to wish us happy Easter. The family here put 150% effort into ensuring you enjoy your stay at Poole Farm and we would highly recommend staying here if you were a couple or family as plenty of room for children to play it really is a super site and kept immaculate. Thank you for your hospitality Louise , Greg and Harvey , not forgetting Rufus the spaniel.
