A wonderful site

This is without doubt the best CL we have stayed on. The owners attention to detail is second to none, the pitches are hardstanding and fully serviced, the site is very well kept and neat, the hut and facilities (WC, shower, laundry) and little shop(chutneys and essentials) are amazing. You would struggle to find this standard on some of the 5* commercial sites. Louise and Greg are friendly, welcoming and genuine hosts. Food delivered to the van is beyond expectations. If I was ever to run a CL, this standard would be my goal. A real gem, right on the Cornwall/Devon borders good access to the A30, don't sweat the last mile its worth it, don't overthink it.

Excellent CL

After reading all of the great reviews for this site, we booked to stay for 6 nights and were glad we did. We were very much impressed with the surroundings and the facilities on site, especially the Wishy Washy Hut and Dog Shower and the fully serviced pitches. Unfortunately, Greg and Louise were preparing to go away and so we didn't get to know them fully and were unable to sample Louise's cooking! There was a very good TV signal and free Wi-Fi. The only minor issue for us was the access road to the site which is a very narrow single track road. Although we didn't experience any problems, we were worried that we would encounter a vehicle coming the other way when going in and out. There is a pub just up the road at St.Gile's on the Heath but their isn't a footpath on the main road and it apparently only opens at certain times. Greg did recommend the Eliot Arms at Tregadillett (about 6 miles away) which we booked for Sunday lunch. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return again.

5 Star + at Poole Farm CL

Greg & Louise are fantastic hosts, brought us tea, coffee, and biscuits while we were setting up, and their CL is the best we have ever stayed on. The 5 fully-serviced pitches are hardstanding, well-spaced, and set in lovely, well-maintained grounds with a dog walk and 2-seater swing. The shower and toilet are heated and there is a well-stocked information hut which contains a freezer full of very tasty, home- cooked meals at sensible prices. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Another Fantastic stay

Many thanks to Lou & Greg for making ourselves & our 2 dogs most welcome again from the start of stay until our departure. We used our car to travel around taking in Tavistock, Cohtele house & estate (National Trust) along with many other points of interest in the area. The site itself was relaxing well laid out with lovely facilities along with an area to buy some essentials & taisty goodies prepared by Lou. All in all if you're looking for an excellent place set within picturesque countryside look no further. Most definitely a 5⭐️ & above place👍👍

Fabulous Stay!

We spent four nights at Poole Farm and cannot recommend it highly enough. Greg and Louise are really attentive hosts, we were greeted with a warm welcome from Greg who explained how the site works and where everything was. The farm is situated in a really peaceful location with easy access to various parts of Devon and Cornwall, which is ideal for days out. The shower hut was immaculate and well stocked and a really great luxury from a CL site. The little 'shop' has everything you may need if you've forgotten to pack something and the home-made jams and chutneys are truly worth trying. We highly recommend the chilli jam! Louise cooks evening meals, afternoon tea and breakfast pastries which you can order in advance and they are hand delivered to your caravan or motor home. The food was excellent and great, given the remote location of the farm. There was also excellent wi-fi coverage which was great for streaming television at night. We highly recommend this CL site and cannot wait to visit again in the future!

Another Wonderful Visit!

I think we've been here every year since we discovered this site in 2020, and it never fails to impress. The surroundings are beautiful, and the facilities are some of the best I've ever come across, but even those advantages are easily eclipsed by the warmth of the welcome (usually a tray of tea and biscuits as you contemplate setting up). Greg and Louise are the creme de la creme in hosting, and make you feel immediately at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and ordering a meal from Louise's tasty menu just adds to the enjoyment of your stay. No wonder people book from year to year! Looking forward to coming back next year, and the year after, and the year after.....

Amazing stay at Poole Farm

This was our first visit to this lovely site. The facilities were amazing, Louise and Greg were so helpful and friendly, the site was well kept and managed. Louise even offers lovely meals and can even be delivered to your caravan if wanted. There was also cream tea on arrival in the welcome pack which also contained the menus. The toilet block and shower were immaculately kept there was also a dog wash area and a small shop containing essentials and plenty of jars of homemade jams/chutneys and marmalades, which we purchased . We will definately be going back to this lovely site again. Thank you Louise and Greg for a really lovely week. Julie and Stuart w/c 22/9/24

Excellent

This was our second visit and it won’t be the last. The site is in a beautiful, peaceful location and is kept immaculate by Louise and Greg. We had a problem with our caravan whilst we were away and Greg was really helpful trying to fix it for us. Lou’s cooking and Sunday roast was amazing and the cream tea and cup of tea/coffee on arrival is a really nice touch that makes this site special. If you’re looking for a site that’s handy for Devon and Cornwall, you really can’t go wrong with Poole Farm. Thank you Louise and Greg for another fantastic stay.

Simply The Best

Our third visit to this site which is just perfect. I can add nothing more to all the previous reviews other than to agree. Gregg and Louise really care about their guests and the attention to detail is second to none. Since our last visit a laundry/washing up area/ mini shop has been added. But the icing on the cake for me is the dog wash! As the owner of a cocker spaniel who thinks fox, sheep and cow poo are akin to Chanel or Christian Dior it is just a life saver! Not just a dog wash but a drier too, essential for a the show cut we like to keep for our beloved boy. All sites who truly welcome dogs should have one. Thank you so much Gregg and Louise, you deserve CL of the year every year in my opinion and Alfie’s, him not being fond of a cold hosepipe LOL!
