Excellent

We were greeted by a smashing young man , presenting us with 2 beautiful dog gifts ,even had their names on , plus all relevant information and a free pen bonus. The site was immaculate and well thought out , pitches were spacious . A lovely dog area with access to dog bin. The shop was a great idea and so was the laundry facilities . I can see why this site is award winning. A well situated site .Well done

Our Favourite Site

We have shortly arrived home after our yearly trip to Poole farm. It’s our yearly haven of peace & quiet. You need to book well in advance as once you’ve been to Poole Farm you will definitely be wanting to go again. The 5 pitches are superbly kept & all facilities extremely clean. Now for the best part - Lou is an incredible cook & on Sundays you can order a roast dinner (various meets to choose from) & a pudding. The rest of the week there is a menu you can choose from with all home cooked food. It’s all delivered to your caravan/motorhome. There is also a complimentary cream tea & the treats continue. There are so many places of interests locally like Tavistock, Launceston itself & beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside. Incredible hosts & definitely our favourite CL. Fabulous!

Absolute dream of a CL. Greg and Lou have thought of everything to meet customers needs with great attention to detail- including stocking food essentials and caravan/motorhome bits through to toiletries and dog wash! So if you run out of anything, Greg and Lou have you covered. When the sun came out - everyone was offered ice cream and on another day homemade cake mid morning- so kind and thoughtful. The whole site was beautifully maintained and very clean and tidy. The only blip and it has nothing to do with Poole Farm directly is the narrow half mile lane leading up to the CL, which, if like us you come across oncoming vehicles, requires some negotiation- but that's Devon/Cornwall for you!. Lou is an experienced and talented cook/baker and offers meals to order (at an extra cost) that are delivered to your caravan- total treat and wonderful, we did run up a bill as the food was irresistible. Almost reluctant to highlight what a totally fabulous place to stay this is as they get booked so far in advance, mostly with returning customers! But credit where it is due, they deserve all the positive praise. We also hope to return.

Amazing!

From the enthusiastic greeting on arrival to the last hugs on leaving we' ve had the best time again at our favourite site in all our 26years caravanning. Louise, Greg, Harvey and dogy Rufus are the kindest family who ensure every detail of your stay is looked after- they just dont stop! Everyone is made to feel very welcome, no wonder there are so many returning guests. Lots of information of places to visit in the well stocked wishy washy shed (more like a fully stocked shop and laundrette) The seperate toilet, and shower & toilet are well maintained and cleaned daily...we never found them mucky once. With toileteries etc available to use. The dog shower is a brilliant idea, fortunately ours didnt need cleaning down this stay. Louise has kept us fed to the brim with delicious food, cream teas, jams and chutneys( food is not included in site fees! Lol)We've even left with food for our homeward stay. The fully serviced, huge pitches are meticulously cared for.Everytime someone left,Greg was out trimming and tidying. The large adjoining dog walking area with swing seat is great, our dogs loved the off lead space. Metered electric after the 10u daily allowance is a fair system and we never even used that much. If you are unsure then read the reviews and visit for yourself, you could even book the cottage or room in the B&B for family who don't have a caravan. We are already booked again for next year, Thankyou again, Love from us all, and big barks from the dogs, x

The Best CL EVER.

We visited Poole Farm last year for a week and just had to come back this year for two weeks, My wife had a health problem so had to change dates , but no problem at all, this lead to unexpected events while on site. Louise & Greg helped us enormously. What can you say that hasn't been said before, why does this site not win CL of the year ever year, you won't find one better anywhere. Book your pitch well in advance and you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Louise, Greg & Harvey.

What a wonderful site

We stayed at Poole Farm August 2024 and shall be returning in 2025. Poole Farm is situated in a beautiful location and the site itself is a credit to Greg and Lou’s hard work. Its immaculate. The welcome we received on arrival lasted throughout our 8 day stay. During our stay, we enjoyed Lou’s Sunday roast and a full English breakfasts, both were made from very tasty local ingredients, beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced. The food menu available is amazing and is all brought to your caravan piping hot and extremely enjoyable. It’s the little things that Greg and Lou do that makes Poole Farm a cut above the rest. The complimentary cream tea, the Orange spritzer cocktail served to everyone on site before Sunday roast. The glass of Pimm’s on a relaxing sunny day that went down a treat, together with a choice of an ice cream on another day. Nothing was too much trouble, from their welcoming attitudes to the information on where to go on our days out. Thank you Greg and Lou for a very enjoyable 8 days and look forward to seeing you again

Top class CL best quality holiday.

Poole Farm CL just perfect We stayed at Poole Farm CL for six nights last week, for our first visit. It was first class with 5*. Lou greeted us on arrival with a tour of the site and gifts for our Labradors. This CL has everything from spotless bathroom, to mini shop containing a choice of ready made meals prepared by Lou as well as some essentials. We had ordered Sunday Roast for our day of arrival, it arrived piping hot and oh so tasty. The desserts were fabulous too. Other meals including breakfast can be ordered. One warm day we were treated to ice creams on the house, much appreciated. The warm dog wash was much needed as our girls got muddy at the Launceston agricultural show. The dog field where they could have a free run was super as was the swing at the top of the field. We visited Jamaica Inn, Padstow, Looe, Lanhydrock NT, Bude and Boscastle. Most of the other people staying at this site had been previous guests and we can understand why. We will certainly return to this, the best site we have ever visited in all ways.

Best CL Ever

We stayed at Poole Farm for 7 nights from 5th to 12th July as part of our 2024 tour to the West Country. We relocated form Carnon Downs to Poole Farm for our 2nd week. Well what can I say, this is a little piece of paradise in the Devon countryside that just wraps around you and makes you feel at home and pampered. The facilities are great and as you enter you have to remind yourself this is just a 5 pitch Cl as it its the big sites to shame. It is so peaceful and welcoming and Lou & Greg are excellent hosts and clearly care passionately about their business which is evidenced by all the little details. They were on holiday for part of our visit but the frozen meals in the freezer, the jams and chutneys in the cupboard meant Lou was never far away. Their friend Glen was in charge and had clearly been well tutored by Lou & Greg as he could not do enough for us and was very welcoming and friendly. The weather was terrible the day we arrived and he was a blessing when he appeared with our complimentary cream tea which was delicious and another lovely touch but I did drink it with Cornish tea. If we are in the area again we have decided that Poole Farm will be our CL of choice, if we can get booked. It is clearly very popular as I think of the outfits that stayed during our stay I think we were the only first timer. Thank you Lou & Greg, Pool Farm CL is fantastic.

Wonderful in every way

At first glance this cl may seem a little expensive, and it is, but it is SO worth every penny. Wonderful spotless facilities. Friendly hosts. Great food if you choose some of Lou’s offerings. This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning.

The Best Ever!

Poole Farm CL is the best we have ever stopped on. 5 immaculate pitches, lovely walks and views, toilet and shower , small essentials 'shop', a dog wash if your pup gets wet, washing machine and dryer, (not for the dog), you simply can’t get better. The Tamar is literally over the country lane. Site so peaceful and serene. Greg and Louise are the most amazing hosts. Food cooked to order is first rate, and pasties the best ever. We have stayed in the B&B and the cottage, all lovely. The CL is calling us back…
