best cl site ever .

This is our 1st Cl site we have used after 3yrs of using various other sites .Loiuse and Greg made us feel very welcome on arrival we had tea cake and 2 dog biscuits with they're names on ,and within an hour or so of pitching up Louise gave us some delicious homemade scones with Devon cream and her delicious homemade jam .The site is immaculate ,the shower facilities amazing with various Jams ,Chutneys to purchase ,we have almost finished the plum chutney only been back 2 days .Our dogs loved the dog walking area ,it was enclosed so they could run around freely ,so Daphne and Dante loved that plus they had Rufus to play with when Harvey came to join us ,very polite young boy .We visited the Eden project ,Bude ,Looe ,Plymouth,Saltash ,and Golitha falls a must for dog lovers and from there the famous Jamaica inn .A week wasn't enough will try and get back again they have a b&b there and cottages avaiable soon ,.We also had in the middle of our stay some lovely lemon drizzle cake delivered in our awning from Louise ,Think we we're thoroughly spoilt and probably will never find a better site a big THANK YOU to Louise Greg ,Harvey and Rufus the spaniel. We have some great memories their I understand July next year is almost full so I need to do some more planning on our hols .

HEAVEN

What can I say about this site that's not been said before ????? We only booked two nights ,oh how we wished we booked more. It has too be the most fantastic CL site in the UK ,we have stayed at a number of CL sites ,but nothing ,nothing comes close. "The Hut"is just something else . Louise and Greg have done a fantastic amount of work to get this business up to 5*+ standard. Their son Harvey is quite the young gentleman with impeccable manners ,oh,he can also sing all the great hits . Can't thank you all enough for a most heavily stay .

What a gem of a site

We do hesitate to write this review as it will encourage more visitors (that is what the owners want and deserve) but we do not want too many people to discover this gem as we will not be able to pick and choose when we want to visit. We do not want to go through the list of facilities commenting on each in turn. All we need to say is that all aspects of this site are brilliant.

Just perfect ...

We stayed on this wonderful CL in April and simply had to return for a second visit to enjoy Greg, Louise and Harvey’s hospitality. A delicious complimentary cream tea on arrival, the best ginger cake we have ever tasted and ice-creams when the weather was hot. We were not disappointed. This is still the best site we have ever stayed on, and is all down to the friendliness and hard work of Louise and Greg. Everything is spotless and nothing is too much trouble. We ordered Louise’s home cooked breakfast on our last full day, delivered to the caravan piping hot and simply scrumptious. What else can we say, just perfect. Wish we had stayed for 14 days instead of the 10 we had booked for. Thank you again Greg, Louise & Harvey, from very happy visitors - Elaine, Graham & Oakly x

Simply the best !

We have recently returned from our second visit to this delightful CL site. It is impeccable and Louise, Greg and Harvey are SO welcoming. It feels 'home from home' with the air of friendliness , yet manages to respect the privacy of it's visitors at the same time. Absolutely wonderful and not to be missed . A diamond of a site. Wish it was nearer to where we live ( Lancashire) and then we could go more often.

Wonderful

Only our second visit to a CL,and a week away, which is unusual, after an awful journey, due to hot weather and massive traffic jams, eventually arrived,2hours later than expected.entered to a very very pretty site, welcomed by,Louise with offers of drinks and help to set up,Thank you again!. such a lovely site the river running through, dogs loved paddling in, especially as it was so hot, Louise and Greg, were forever there if needed to help with all the aspects of the area etc, cream teas, cakes, were delicious,we didn't partake of the cooked breakfast, but we're told how good they were, the site is also very convenient for all areas to Bodmin,Cornwall, all within a few miles!we are certainly going back again,If we can get a pitch...I,m not actually recommending this to anyone!!as there won't be any pitches for us,so you can all go and find somewhere else....sorry Louise! Also Bailey & Paddy say thank you for the biscuits😎

5 star

On arrival I was given a large bar of chocolate for fathers day followed later by Cornish cream tea, over the week a nice lemon cake and ice creams followed, it was hard to remember we were stopping on a CL site not a five star hotel, the site facilites was hard to fault and to cap it all we had the warmest weather seen for many a long time, my lasting memory was sitting in the top of the dog walking field on the swinging chair with a glass of wine in my hand watching the the sun go down, thank you Louise +Greg we will be back

little gem

Arrived about 8pm after getting caught up in traffic,Greg and Louise were out,and a friend showed us to our pitch. She presented us with a really nice welcome card, and information pack telling us all about poole farm. Our pitch was down at the bottom of the site, next to the hut.It was a very spacious pitch, with lots of grassed areas around it,and the sound of the river behind made for a very relaxing space.Everything about Poole farm was as good as all the previous reviews had suggested. The whole site is immaculate, and Greg and Louise work very hard to keep it that way.Nothing is too much trouble ,from dropping off a morning paper to a lovely cream tea,and home made cakes. The hut which houses a shower room most homes would be proud of was spotless .The hut also doubles as a small information room, with local eggs and homemade jams and chutneys. Our two dogs enjoyed the welcome bonios and love running about in the dog exercise paddock. The surrounding area has plenty to do and see,we live in west Cornwall, but found lots of places unknown to us.Cant wait to come back for some more R&R and to explore the surrounding area further.

Wow!!!!

What an amazing site and fabulous people running it. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival by Louise and shown around the facilities, and our two dogs had a little welcome pack.As we were setting up a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit was delivered by Greg. Once we were settled Louise brought us a lovely cream tea with delicious home made scones. Nothing is too much trouble for Louise and Greg, they recommended a garage to sort out a problem with our car and even offered to cook dinner for us when I had an allergic reaction to an insect bite I got when out one day. After a rainy day Greg arrived at our door with a chocolate cake Louise had made to cheer us up! (Very delicious it was too) The site is very well set up and maintained and the shower hut is well equipped. Having a water tap on the pitch also makes things that bit easier. I cannot praise this CL enough, by far the best I have stayed on. Well done Louise and Greg.
