St Davids was very nice but was a bit in the middle of nowhere. Lovely views and peaceful but quite exposed to the weather. Whitesands beach within walking distance is beautiful. Newgale and Solva are also worth a visit. Site kept well and is great for walking and cycling if you are looking for total relaxation, but if weather is bad it can make it look totally different.
Peaceful site with easy access to North Pembrokeshire coastline
We have just returned from 2 weeks in Pembrokeshire staying on this site for the second week (15-22 June). The site is flat with good views of the surrounding hills from most pitches. Being exposed it can get quite breezy on site. Site and washrooms were very tidy and the wardens exceptionally helpful. Bread and papers can be ordered for delivery to reception Monday to Saturday. We were on a grass pitch which was quite firm and no issues with mud. There are a lot of rooks that stay in the trees in the middle of the site - these can be a little noisy - select a pitch away from the trees to avoid these. We attended services at St David's cathedral on two occasions - Choir is fairly small but excellent. The site is a good base for walking the spectacular coastline. We walked - around St David's head (from the site) - Porthgain to Abereiddy - around Strumble head - The headland at Solva - Around the headland southwest of St Davids. An evening boat trip around Ramsay Island and the the Bishop Rocks to see seabirds and seals was very enjoyable but expensive (even with club 10% discount). Sunset was excellent from Porthgain. Also "The Shed" fish and chip restuarant at Porthgain is excellent.
Delightful
This was our first visit but have already booked again. Great walks for the dogs. The use of the bus to go to St David's is brilliant. Beautiful well cared for site....toilet block very clean and tidy. Pity some dog walkers do not pick up their dog mess while walking in the lane.
Will use this site quite often
Great Site
Went to this site for a week in may 2017 and we had a great time. The views were beautiful and the facilities were very clean. Plenty of room on pitches we have a motorhome and had plenty of room. Warden very friendly and helpful. Bus stops at the site entrance which goes to whitesands bay then 10 mins later comes back past site to go to st Davids ( they are every 30 mins ) Brilliant service £3 hop on hop off service, Something to think about which the bus driver told us is that you can get a ticket for £30 which allows you any travel on any Pembrokeshire bus for a week so Tenby, Haverfordwest and many more places can be seen. All in all a great place and yes the crows are noisy but you get use to it our motorhome was next to a tree so I know.
Stunning break
Great directions, perfect site, immaculately clean toilets and showers....great pitches, so many walks, and just an idyllic site for the best walks and relaxing break! Thank you!
Great site but hold onto your awnings
First visit to this site and had a lovely warm welcome from the wardens. You can order your daily papers, croissants, pain chocolat and bread so this is a great service for convenience. Lovely walk into St. davids, but sadly for us our dogs could not use the white sands beach due to restrictions, which we were aware of. A beach approx 2 and half miles on the coastal walk was dog friendly but quite difficult to access due to stoney decline. We used it once and it is a lovely Cove. We used Cae fai beach which was lovely for the dogs but a drive away for us. Great butcher in St Davids. However, disappointed that there is no wifi on site, the commercial site next door has it and I use Caravan club wifi so totally useless for sadly. I use wifi very often for researching the areas visited. The bishops arms in st davids is available to use when necessary. We had great weather over the 7 days stay except for high winds and 36 hrs of rain at the end of our visit. It is exposed but beautiful so use your common sense on your using your awning.

So relaxing
We have just had 11 wonderful nights on this site over Easter 2017. The weather helped by staying dry with a sneaky cold wind.
Once again we were greeted by happy, smiling wardens who kept the site immaculate even when full over the Easter weekend. We love being able to walk from the site onto the coastal path and there's always the little bus to pick you up at the site entrance.
It's such a shame it's a long drive from Yorkshire otherwise we would use it more often than once a year.

Beautiful area for walking and surfing
I have stayed at Lleithyr Meadow for many years and am always thrilled to arrive there. The site is near to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and numerous beaches are within the vicinity. The site itself is well laid out and presented beautifully; there is one disappointing factor in the fact that the Rooks were particularly noisy; the warden advised us to steer clear of the trees in the centre of the site for this reason. There is now a local minibus service which runs every hour at the moment; it is very handy for visiting St Davids, with its wonderful cathedral and shops. The minibus also transports you to St Justinians, Porthclais etc with a hop-on hop-off ticket for £3.00 (Welsh Bus Passes exempt). I will certainly return to Lleithyr Meadow in order to see the seals with their pups, from the coastal path, in the autumn.

Where were the kids
Excellent site, all grass but free draining. Close to Whitesands beach. Excellent local bus service round St Davids head, hourly now but half hourly in full season.(free to Welsh OAP bus passes). Whilst schools were on holidays no more than half dozen kids on site despite cheap offer and new play ground. The adjacent commercial site was full of kids. Why? All in all suited us. Beware however that there is a noisy rookery smack in the middle of the site.
A splendid 10 days in Pembrokeshire
An excellent location for walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal paths and breathtaking scenery. Good road network from Cambridge with only the final few miles on narrow undulating roads. Follow the final directions from the site guide as some lanes are very narrow. There are numerous other camping and caravan in sites in the location. The only reason that I marked down the peace and quiet was that there are a row of trees down the centre of the site with the noisiest birds roosting there but the site is large enough to park far enough away from these unless the site was full. A very warm welcome awaits you. There are basic provisions at the reception shop with a slightly larger camp shop at the adjoining site. St David's is a 5 minute drive away where there are pubs and restaurants and a supermarket and the Cathedral and market are well worth a visit. We were lucky to have good weather all week with just a sprinkling of rain early one morning. The prevailing wind can be quite strong so storm ropes and anchors on awnings would be wise. All in all an excellent week and would not hesitate in returning.
