Regular user of this site. Ideally situated either for Whitsands beach and Costal walking. In summer there is a half hourly bus service to St Davids and other coast spots.(free to us Wales pass holders). Lots of Dogs on site and a few inconsiderates allow them to ….. on pitches. Also dont leave any food in awnings as the Badgers are very resourceful. Rookery a lot quieter now but you will still get droppings on your unit. It is a country site.. whereas there were no children on site even over the week end ( next door commercial had lots) it is a good children site with beach so close. Guess its something go do with the CC club age group.
Fantastic location in fantastic weather
First time on site during Whitsun.
Great location.
Lovely grass pitch.
Spotless facilities
Fantastic views.
Able to walk with kids to Whitesands.
Lovely walk to Carn Llidi. Even more views.
Roads are quiet.
Yes you can hear the birds if you pitch close to the trees but you soon forget about them and they are silent at night.
Very very clean & the best watdens
Yet another fantastic stay superb views and location
Wardens are very helpful and very welcoming
The site is very clean and well kept.

Great site
First visit, great site in a wonderful location.
Facilities are great and very clean.
Only downside is the noise, for the second night in a row now..
First Class....
My wife and I visited this site on May Bank Holiday. Welcomed warmly by the staff, into a well kept site and immaculate WC/Shower facilities. Location is perfect, being only a couple of miles from St David’s and a mile from Whitesands.
Our neighbours expressed that they have been 20 times to this site. I can understand why. We will certainly be back.
Excellent well run site - one of the best!
Visited this site at the end of April and stayed for the Bank Holiday weekend - the site was covered in mist for a lot of our stay - that was the only disappointment and certainly not the fault of the excellent staff who run this site and cannot do enough to help! The site is open and very spacious so you do not feel as if you are on top of your neighbours which is a definite plus, all the pitches are grass which was firm and not muddy despite the awful spring weather we have had. There are lovely countryside views from all the pitches and the site is kept in excellent condition by the wardens. The toilet block is similar in style to all CC sites, but this one was always clean no matter what time of day or evening we used it, always hot water etc, all showers and toilets in working order. The position of the site is ideal for visiting all the local beauty spots and easily accessible for St David's. We cycled (the hill is a little steep in places but we managed) and also on the advice of Sharon the assistant warden we also cycled to the blue lagoon - a real must to visit to watch swimmers jumping off the rocks into the lagoon. On the way there is a lovely small garden centre which sells excellent coffee/tea and homemade cake! What made this site stand out for us was Sharon and John, the assistant wardens - they always seemed to be on duty, were so helpful, always friendly and happy to share tips and advice and gave us lots of information about the area. John was repainting all the service points whilst we were there - the one closest to us looked like new when we left! As for the Rooks - they are noisy but after one day we got used to them and hardly noticed the noise at all. Can highly recommend this site, for the excellent staff, beautiful position and as other reviewers have said, access to the coastal path, beaches and St Davids. Give it a go - you will not be disappointed.
Another visit
Site is all grass on very free draining soil. No damage after the wet spring. Facility block as good as any CC site. Shop has essentials. Local bus stops outside gate. From 3/5 half hourly. Connects with other buses to do short or long Pembrokshire Coast Walks. Whitesands Beach excellent sand & surf within walking distance. Likewise St Davids Golf Course. City is bustling with supermarket (but pricy) and plenty of eateries etc. There is a rookery on site so noise is quite loud and you get droppings on your van and awnings, but hey its the countryside. Sea mist can also be a problem. Last week despite being 28c in most of Uk it was 14C with visibility down to 30 yards. Afternoons saw it burned off. The summer birds have arrived. The wild flowers on the paths and roadsides are just about at their best. Now is the time to visit
Amazing Location & Staff
St David's Lleithyr Meadow site was our first long awaited trip to Wales and we were not disappointed. If fact, the visit totally blew us away and over exceed our expectations beyond measure.
Prior to arriving the site warden Sharon gave me perfect instructions for the narrow roads in Wales - well worth checking if your'e in a large vehicle like ours, 7.5m long. On arrival the assistant wardens Sharon & John were so welcoming and friendly our setting up was a joy - they even offer a newspaper and croissant service ! The well stocked shop will service your basic requirements should you forget anything.
Later we met site wardens Sharon and Mike, who also could not have been more friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. If you have any questions or needs you'll be sure to find help & advice given freely away. In addition the site has various charitable events throughout the year which are a huge success and seriously good fun.
The site is one of the best kept and maintained sites we have been to and with a location to die for ! Whitesands bay is just down the road and St David's, with it's spectacular Cathedral and city centre within easy walking distance from site. Not too hilly either !!
This really is a magical place which needs to be visited. I was dubious about leaving a review so as to keep it a secret ! Go and see for yourself and you want be disappointed.
Proper seaside.
This site is caperble of holding your interest for a full fortnights holiday.
Beautiful beaches only a couple of minutes in the car away with a large car park and cafe.
Ideal for the kids lots to do.
Most people seem to like belly boarding and a few proper surfers.
The city of At David's itself is about seven minutes by car and has two large car parks.
Plenty of places to eat around five pubs and quite a few cafes ,one with live music every night at seven
The Cathedral is well worth a visit and the bishop palace.
Even though the pitches are grass they are well drained.
Fantastic Service
Pulled in here on 13 July 17 a bit late in the day. The duty Managers (and I'm kicking myself for not writing down their names) were so accommodating and friendly, it just made the whole experience delightful. We were in a bit of a stew trying to contact an old friend in Lancaster, and could not get the phone number to work. The manageress was a real honey, and took the information away with her and searched it all out for us in no time at all. There is a short walk to the beach and the coastal path which we were able to experience, and the bus service into Town is terrific. Loved the experience and thoroughly recommend some time here. Better suited to non-kids groups, but the beach is always a winner for children if you do take them here.
