A warm welcome, clean facilities and well maintained site. Loved the information shack.
Great location for visiting St. David’s, the coastal path or whitesands. Very noisy crows, but I don’t mind that and they stop when it gets dark!
Reception sold some food and caravanning essentials.
Children enjoyed the play area.
Pitch grassy and a bit bumpy, but OK.
Overall an enjoyable stay.
Unfriendly and noisy
Whilst I appreciate that nothing can be done about the noise from the crows, the noise is continuous and so peaceful it is not! Also, and again I appreciate that the site was full but warden in reception was more keen on telling us what we were not allowed to do than saying hello. Her exact words were if you are not exactly on the peg you will be moved. I have been a club member for several years and I know to pitch to the peg. Hello and welcome would have been nice! Also WiFi- we have paid for a years WiFi, I had research work to do and couldn’t as there is none, so take not if you need it you will have to go into st David’s.
Having had my rant it’s a lovely site with beautiful views and we will be back as it’s fairly local for us.
Beautiful Location
This was our first visit to St David's and we found it a lovely site with beautiful views all around. We have two cocker spaniels and walking is a key part of our trips. There were great walks directly from the campsite and we did two walks using the Pembroke Coastal Path and another into St David's. Nice clean and tidy shower block and a pretty level grass pitch. We had been a little worried from other reviews about noise from the resident crows but while you could see and hear them in the day we had no noise at night so really they just add to the character and charm of the site. Good to hear that a dog walk is being added to the site as you have to walk along roads & lanes to let dogs off the lead, though it is only 25 mins to Whitesands Beach where they can be off the lead until May. The wardens were extremely welcoming and the site has a lovely relaxed atmoshphere. If you visit early or late in the season be aware buses may not be running as they are seasonal. We will definitely be returning to St Davids.
Noise
The nosie from the crows in the tree was unbearable I was only staying for one night could not get out quick enough
First Visit to St Davids
The site was very clean and tidy well kept as you would expect from the Club, The only issue i would raise is before you visit you would benefit in reading the club rule book as it would appear i broke 2 of them. I had no idea that i was doing anything incorrect but was told twice to the contrary,
My electrical lead was removed by the wardens while i was out for the day as i was using a duel connection point which cut of the power to my camper van which then lead to the ice in the freezer compartment melting and spilling onto the floor inside the van. I accept that i may have done wrong but would have preferred to have been consulted first and then disconnected where i could then have taken the appropriate action to avoid the water inside my van,
The following morning the warden did explain things but the damage was already done at this point. It all felt a little like being back at school and being told off by the teachers not conducive to having a good time while on holiday
A fabulous site in a great location (but hide your dog's food from the badgers....!)
Came here first in June of this year and loved the location and "feel" of the site so much that came back again in September.
Very well-maintained; spotless facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Congratulations to them for doing a great job.
Site is perfectly positioned for access to the coastal path, to Whitesands Beach, for a bracing walk up Carn Lidli and for the pubs and restaurants in St David's itself (an easy 20 -30 min walk away depending on how fast you walk or how desperate you are to get to a bar!). For 3 days didn't feel the need to move the campervan and did everything on foot - a blessed relief.
The circular coastal walk from St Davids to St Non's then past Porth Clais, on to St Justinians and back into St Davids is stunning. From the campsite round trip was just over 13 miles but you could easily shorten this by making use of the Coaster bus that picks up at different places and stops outside the site.
Two things to watch out for: The site can be breezy at times and the predominant wind seems to sweep down the valley from Carn Lidli. So peg and guy-out awnings well! In June, when we first visited, I had my awning and van door facing the windward side. Bad idea - a rookie error you might say. I made sure I reversed that this recent visit and all was peace and tranquillity with the van door open.
Second thing: Badgers like dog biscuits and snacks. In error left our dog's biscuits and snacks out in the awning on first night. Woken up by much growling from our dog in the van at 2am. A quick glance out and there was a decent sized badger in the awning munching on Dentastix and hide chews having already polished off a week's supply of dog walk biscuits (pulled from a rucksack outer pocket, off the ground on a table). He or she shot off very quickly when disturbed. This was a stupid mistake as we're usually meticulous about not leaving food outside the van of any sort, but be warned! Badgers are about.
As are crows.....lots of them.
In summary, wonderful site. Can't wait to return
OK but “the crows”
We stayed for a week this spring having not been down into Pembroke before.
It’s a long drive along the coast if you coming from the North but the coast road is very secenic, narrows a little on a couple of occasions but nothing scary.
The single lanes on the approach are narrow and you should take notice of the specific directions.
The site in our opinion was below the average for a CC site in its appearance. Our pitch was bumpy and held water, no real features to the landscape of the site. Except for a row of large for tree’s which are home to a rookery.
The “constant” noise of those birds was horrendous, 6am -8pm.
The wardens were a warm and friendly team even lent me some tools when I had a problem with our heating.
The coastal walks are stunning and there are some lovely villages and places to eat and drink.
Liked the area but would not use the CC site again.
Simply the best
This is a wonderful site one of the best in the club, its clean the staff are good the toilet facilities good, the views are amazing.
Lots of things to do and see.
All in a beautiful area.

Excellent location, flat, open site
The best thing about this lovely flat site was its location. About half a mile from the stunning beach of Whitesands and a 30 minute walk from the centre of St Davids, a picturesque town with quirky shops and coffee stops.
Very helpful staff and excellent facilities.
If only they could do something about the noisy crows nesting in the trees right in the centre of the site. Could be a lot worse though...
