Came with the family in a caravan some years ago, this time as a couple in a motorhome. This is a lovely peaceful relaxing site where you can sit and let the world pass you by. Grange-over-Sands is close enough to cycle to, but it's really a town for 'the more mature' than families, especially since the swimming pool closed. We like it, we'll be back, but would probably go elsewhere if we had children in tow.
Excellent
We recently stayed at this for only one night, the wardens very extremely helpful and friendly. The shower block was the best I've experienced in the caravan club. Would certainly visit again when in area
Great location.
Staff helpful and polite. Access to site tight at Club entrance. We were on site for seven nights and experience members arriving daily up to 3hours before allowed arrival time. There has to be a way to prevent members arriving like this. The affect of me leaving was that the rear of my caravan ground out at the exit which is tight because of an early arrival. Staff confirmed they can not turn people away. Club needs to sort this increasingly obstructive behaviour out. I will not visit this site again because of this. On one occasion I could not leave the site because of queuing early arrivals.
September break
The site was very peaceful and picturesque, central for places to visit, the only fault we had was there was nowhere to run our very energetic border collie
Newby first time
Easy to find. Friendly staff and other campers. Great pitches. Superb showerblock. Seems to me to need a bar/clubhouse on site but otherwise will visit again. And if I say I'll go again I must have been impressed!

Excellent
We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. We haven't used this site before and must say that it is clean & tidy The grass pitches were quite good and there were hard standings pitches, There is nothing to worry about on the approach roads these are good compared with some other site locations. Site facilities are good and toilet block is clean (very clean.) the staff are very nice and welcoming, will visit again see you soon
12 o'clock please
Had few nights at this site not been here for a few years but it has not changed. Nice and peaceful.Need levelling blocks on some pitches. My only complaint is People not sticking to the twelve o'clock rule we left at half past ten and met someone coming onto the site. The entry road is narrow with a couple of passing places which is fine unless two large units meet on the hill just before the site. Why don't the wardens turn people away arriving that early The arrival and departure times do need sorting

Excellent stopover
Heading north of the border we wanted a place on the west coast route to break our journey.
Meathop Fell looked right when planning our trip and proved to be ideal in practice. Access from the M6 was straight forward and although the final approach required not a little concentration, the welcome was friendly and warm and the site quiet and peaceful.
On reflection, given its proximity to the Lakes and the estuary it is a site well worth visiting for a much longer stay.
On our return from Scotland we shall once more break our journey at this convenient and welcoming site.

Good Stay
We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. We haven't used this site for around 20 years and must say that it has only improved. The grass pitches were quite soft and there were many skid marks from failed pitching attempts so more hard standings would probably be a good thing. There is nothing to worry about on the approach roads these are good compared with some other Lake District site locations. Site facilities are good and toilet block is clean and big.
