Lovely peaceful site. Friendly staff and facilities always clean and tidy. Busy site but lots of toilets, washrooms and showers etc. Cycling nearby on quiet roads. However lacking in public transport. Plenty of places to visit but being motorhomers we like to use public transport if available. We had difficulty finding site entrance from main road as the sign mentioned a Woodlands hotel and restaurant and we did not see a caravan and motorhome sign.
Great site
First time at this site and what a lovely place to relax. The promenade in Grange-over-Sands is great and the butchers and local bakery are a must when in the town. The layout and toilet blocks are of high standard and some great views around the site. My only concern is the lack of attention from the wardens with people playing with footballs around the pitches and others not sticking to the CAMC policy when positioning the caravans, a simple walk around to check would of brought this to there attention. Overall a great site and would definitely recommend this site.
I can’t share this diamond site 😮
We booked a last minute cancellation and OMG did we strike lucky. Fab wardens, beautiful location and facilities and basically with the Easter sun it’s perfect. Grange over sands only a short drive away with the beautiful Harrington’s butchers, and a superb bakery. Visit Cartmel wowzer. This place is Our 101 site since 2010 and bring it on 👍xx
Lovely site, peaceful and scenic.
Booked two nights here for two motorhomes, as we were travelling with friends. We phoned in the morning to book and the warden was most accommodating, both on the phone and when we arrived, even though we were later than planned. We had a choice of pitches and had a lovely view from the window of the bay in the distance and surrounding hills. The site is spotlessly clean, very well maintained and has everything you need for a restful break. The shower and toilet blocks are warm and clean and smelt really nice. The launderette was easy to use and efficient. We would definitely recommend to others and return ourselves if in the area again. The Woodlands hotel is 5 minute walk and served a nice evening meal and welcomed dogs in the bar area.

Return Visit
We first visited this site over 25 years ago. We liked it then and still like it now. We visit perhaps twice a year. This was our first trip out this year and again we were looking forward to the stay. As always the wardens were friendly and helpful but I have to say that we were disappointed that the shop no longer offers newspapers nor do they have the mobile chippy anymore!! The facilities were again spotless but I have to say they are again looking a little bit dated and the water pressure in the showers was poor. The television signal at this site has been poor for many years and the booster system is as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Come on club, please do something about this
Having said all that we enjoyed our stay, in particular a visit to the new boat museum at the side of Lake Windermere. The trip on the steam launch was excellent.
We will be returning to the site later in the year as it is in such a fantastic location

A lovely site
A lovely site in a fabulous area. This was the first time we have stayed at this site and would come back again when we get the opportunity. Very welcoming staff and spotless facilities.
nice relaxing well kept site with exalent wardens.
We use this site quite often, we love it.Tthe wardens are very friendly, helpfull and informative. The site is well kept, clean and tidy.It is handy for the Lakes, Yorks Dales and west coast sea side resorts. We have had meals at the Gilpin Bridge and the Woodlands Hotel, both superb. fish and chips at Arnside is also a must.

another perfect club site
this was a first visit for us and as it was only 45 mins from home we were hoping for it to be a destination for a quick retreat from the bustle of everyday life. we were not disappointed. the site is well tended, clean and spacious pitches. the wardens were welcoming and helpful with suggestions of pitches that would suit us. the dog walking, although not on site was just outside the door and a local hotel restaurant is also just outside the site, doing reasonable food. we were lucky with the weather in February and enjoyed a stroll along the promenade in Grange over Sands which is only a 10 minute drive away. we shall return especially as it is so near.
Poor WiFi and leveling on some pitches difficult
This is a lovely site BUT
Considering this site has had a "makeover", you would have thought that some of the points raised by members would have been improved upon - such as
> WiFi is very poor on this site
> Some of the pitches are almost beyond leveling for modern caravans/ motor homes.
It would have been good for the club to have addressed these points and made this site 100%
Suppose club members will still be raising these points throughout 2019 but I hope points are taken on-board and fixed.
This site would other-wise be top rated, wardens are great, toilet blocks are superb, layout is good, the area and views are superb.

Lovely site
This is a lovely site ,immaculate, great showers, very pleasant and efficient wardens..a good walk into grange about 3 miles but easy walking, a nice lunch in grange and a good walk back, we are only an hour from home so it makes an ideal 2 nights in winter to give our motorhome a run, spring time would also be lovely here.
Love our motorhome
