Beautiful site but the "DOGS" oh dear
This is our second time this year at Bunree and as a site I cannot fault it but for the dogs, they run all over the shore front off the lead and they always decide to "perform" in front of our van just as we are enjoying our meal. What is it with people today not happy with a dog they need a pack of 3 or 4 of them. Show some consideration and take them as far away from the caravans as possible. Most owners do clean up but the grass is still contaminated after, not nice for the kids to play in.

Overall an excellent site
We stayed at Bunree whilst touring in a hired motor home. We had a Loch side pitch and it was level. The site is quite large and did become a little noisy at times with it being summer holidays etc, Parents would need to be be cautious as it is on a Loch. Members had left complaints regarding the dog walkers not staying in the delegated area and allowing their pets to foul in front on the pitches. Hasten to add this was not our opinion but raising the point for others. It is 8 miles from Fort William and has decent parking facilities. One point I feel should apply to all sites is a polite notice in different languages explaining once you have used the showers you should clean the floor with the mop provided and pull the curtain across to dry. Due to the amount on the site here this was not always the case and I found the facilities at times dirty due to people not cleaning up afterwards. Just a little point which may help in the future.
Absolute Heaven
Last month we were back at our beloved Bunree and yest again it didn't disappoint. We'd like to say a HUGE thankyou to the wardens for letting us in through the gate well after 8.30pm after a series of accidents stopping our journey on the M1. It took us 11 hours instead of the usual 7.We appreciated so much the fact the office was shut and they were settling down to their evening and they didn't hesitate to let us through. Having to pitch up at the overnight waiting area is not really a bind as you're next to the river and overlooking the loch but it was our first trip in our brand new Buccanneer so to be able to spend it not in the car park was so lovely!
This is our fourth visit to Bunree in 2 years, we absolutely adore this part of the world and it feels like coming home to this wonderfully clean and beautiful view from the site. Can't wait to come back
First visit
Spent 3 nights here between Maragowan and a grantown-on-Spey sites.
What a lovely site, with great views, and spotless amenities.
Douglas, Avril and the team do a great job on the site and quick to offer assistance if required.

Even does scooter repairs
This is a brilliant site and one of our favourites. Lovely size, facilities great, really nice play area for the children and fantastic views.
Wardens were some of the very best that we have come across. Always smiling and helpful, I took my sons scooter to them to ask if I might borrow an allen key and the warden got all his tools out and fixed the scooter there and then. Wish I had got his name as he deserves a mention and I didn't. Cannot think of one even tiny negative about this place, it is really really good!
2 night stop over
We used this site for a 2 night stopover before starting the NC 500, the site is very attractive, neatly kept and in a very scenic location, the facilities were clean and well kept. The site is peaceful with no road noise, the only reason we have not give it top marks is because of the inconsiderate dog owners who think it is ok to tie their animals to their units and let the area around them become a dog toilet, when there is a perfectly adequate dog walking area provided, some owners not even being bothered to pick up after them wherever they go, this needs to policed more rigorously.

Lovely site
We stayed one night at this site as a stopover on our way home. Staff were friendly and helpful, and facilities were very clean and tidy. The site was full and we had the last pitch which was along the wooded edge, still with great views. Would like to have stayed longer!
Perfect
We stayed 4 nights and this site is perfect very clean and lovely wardens, it's a beautiful to stay so close to a lake, the walks are lovely and scenic we had non stop rain the whole time there but it didn't spoil are stay and will go back for another visit. We had no complaints at all a perfect site.
