This is the 1st time we have used this site, mainly because we were using it as a stop over for a trip to the western isles.
the site is located by the loch, with views all around you, the facilities are good and the site was busy ,but you didn't feel that you were in a site that was full ,we went over on the Corran ferry as foot passengers to look at island over the loch and we did a small walk (you can get a walking map from the reception at 20p which covers this walk and some walks near the site).
we didn't get attacked by the midges ,due to the after marks of the last storm ,which meant that all the west side of Scotland was suffering from cloud and wind for a week.
We were in a motor home ,so we used the public transport to Fort William , to which the bus stop is not far from the site.
this is a nice site either as a stop over or a week visit ,as you can visit many place locally
Best site I've been to
Excellent site with amazing loch views. Cleanliness was impeccable as always. All the staff were friendly whenever we saw them.
Loch views were lovely with mountains on the other side. Midges are a pain but not a lot you can do unless you wear a net and use spray. Citronella definitely helps keep them at bay. Brilliant base for the area. Glencoe mountain range, the chairlift, Inchree Falls and red squirrel feeding station. Glencoe lochan is a small but stunning loch to visit. Venture down the single track roads, the rivers and falls you find are well worth it. Breakfast in Crofters Bar at Fort William is delicious, the staff were lovely and the price was average. Jacobite train was nice too, but if you want that viaduct shot, you need to visit Glenfinnan and walk up there you will definitely need to book in advance for this. You could spend months there and still not see it all. But everything around there is amazing.

Bunree
Lovely peaceful but busy site.
We managed a full week this time and arrived shortly after noon so there was a good selection of pitches, arriving later and selection is much reduced.
The only down side is the midges, they are in biblical swarm proportions this year. Make sure you have plenty of midge cream/spray etc.
Beautiful location with a few " Buts "
Bunree is in a beautiful location with so many wonderful places to visit in the surrounding area but if you can't book well in advance and sometimes it is not possible, sadly it is becoming difficult to get more than an odd night. I find so it becomes nothing more than a stopping off enroute rather a base location from which to explore and enjoy the surrounding area.
For such a busy, well used site I think it is in need of new facilities, the showers are in need of a refurbishment and could benefit from a layout rethink to give more room with a bench seat .
The dishwashing area could benefit from an update and I would prefer not to have to walk past everyone using it to get to the ladies facilities. And Yes , perhaps a few more service points as they're all close to the centre and it can be a long walk in the pouring rain!
As another review mentioned, THE MIDGES are rarely far from this site , so be prepared.!
Despite the need in my opinion for a refurbishment the site is well kept and very clean thanks to the Wardens, It can't be easy running a busy site and coping with the Midges too! So 5 stars to them.
Perhaps the club could consider obtaining another site nearby as this one is so busy . ??

midges paradise
a nice clean well kept site with great views and peacefull seroundings, however make sure your in van by 8o;clock or you will be eaten by midges, awoke in morning and the wife looked like the elephant woman.
Location, Location, Location...
To be able to pitch so close to the loch & be surrounded by stunning landscapes was a privilege not often available in the UK. This was reminiscent of an Alpine setting with lakes, mountains & forests all in view from your pitch. During our visit the site was full but was surprisingly peaceful. The exceptionally hot, dry spell of weather was an added bonus. Great & genuinely friendly service from the wardens, we will definitely return. A great base to explore from or to simply relax at the site.

THE BEST SITE IN BRITAIN
As usual, the site was perfect - clean and tidy, with excellent wardens. The views are amazing and the weather was the best we have had here. Every day the temperature was 26 degrees or more. Being near the Corran ferry, it is very easy to visit Morvern, Mull and the Ardnamuchan peninsular for scenery, wildlife and quiet surroundings.
Perfect
Stayed here for ten days and had the most fantastic weather the whole time. Perfect site, views awesome. So peaceful and atmospheric. A multitude of places to visit, Fort William, Mallaig, Oban, Fort Augustus, neptunes Staircase (where we got to see a race of around 20 small boats) to name but a few. The scenery around every corner is jaw dropping. If you can manage without an awning i would recommend it as you can have a lochside pitch, although we put an awning up on the second line and still had great views. Site is immaculate, wardens lovely. As I said before, simply perfect. Everybody should stay at Bunree at least once.

Stunning location and staff second to none
What a site! You won’t find a more picturesque pitch and the area is stunning. Many thanks to the hard working staff. We met Angus and Michelle and Avril in the busiest week of the year and they were still going out of their way to help - brilliant.
Magical
Wonderful views across the Loch. Waterfall and red squirrel hide across the road. Fort William has a Morrisons Supermarket and a M&S Foods at the far end which is always handy. Ben Nevis is awesome we parked (free) at the Braveheart car park and walked Cow Hill (7 miles) which gave us fantastic views of the mountain.
We just loved everything about this site and the area and will be back for more
