Site is excellent for views and relaxation.
Had a problem with our hook up as someone else in it so we tried the next one but that didn’t work so saw the warden who couldn’t have been more helpful and sorted it all out.
The lady in reception was so lovely and friendly.
Managed to do some washing but could I suggest just a spinner for spinning hand washing.
The site, right on the loch side is so beautiful!
We were greeted by a small herd of cows outside the gate, which held up the traffic lights entry system!!
The facilities were plentiful and really clean
The local hostelry Roam West - within walking distance serves amazing food and great beer!
We stayed at Bunree for a night again on our travels around the NC500 recently. As usual the staff were friendly and helpful. Good clean facilities. Wonderful views and a beautiful location. We would recommend going across on the Corran ferry as a foot passenger, and doing the woodland walk, with a nice pub stop before catching the ferry back. Definitely one of our favourite sites.
Fantastic site, with amazing views of the Loch. Very clean site & friendly, helpful staff. Great location if passing through we stopped one night after walks in Glencoe & then went on to Ben Nevis gondola's (30 min drive) & fort William. I think when we come back we'd stay a few nights & use it as a base to explore more of the area.
Over all highly recommend as a stop over or a base to explore.
Read a view bad reviews about this site relating to the facilities and strict approach of the wardens.
Must say we've found the wardens to be really friendly and they do a great job of keeping the place spotless. Yes the facilities are a bit dated and could do with a few more toilets but seen a lot worse.
The location and beautiful views more than make up for the facilities.
Plenty to do in the area to last you weeks.
We stayed here for three nights on a Scotland tour, arriving in beautiful sunshine! Access to the sight is on a traffic light single track, no problems at all. Pitches were level and we were made welcome by the Wardens. Facilities were clean, loved the drying room! Location really is the USP of this site, right on the Loch and in a peaceful spot, driveable to Glen Coe, Fort William, Glen Etive and other local sightseeing spots. Wardens were busy on the site, and very friendly and welcoming. Off-lead dog walking area to one side of the site (most people adhered to this). We really loved this site and we would return for longer if we ever go back to Scotland.
My wife and I recently stayed at Bunree for three days. We were welcomed warmly by Jean. She was very helpful, gave us all the information and changed our pitch to be near the toilet on the last day due to my stomach problem.
Bunree is an amazing site with beautiful views over the loch. The facilities are great and it is only a 20 minute drive to Fort William where there is a supermarket (Morrisons) and a variety of restaurants. There are walks in the area and it is near Glencoe where you can walk and enjoy the waterfalls.
This site is on our list to be back for a longer period. Very highly recommended.
Visited site again and wasn't disappointed. Lovely location alongside the Loch. Nice quiet site, with walks close by and easy access to surrounding area. Pitched away from Loch shore as it was a bit windy during our visit. Main shopping area is Fort William, approx 20 mins away.
Superb location as expected, just a shame about the weather. But we didn't let it spoil anything...Roam West is absolutely superb for food BUT you must book. Even on a Tuesday early evening, we saw 7 groups of people turned away + several phone calls which were "sorry". Please note that a/a end of September there is a temporary passenger service running on the Corran ferry, approx 1 mile walk down the road, all free (dogs aswell) , gives you a chance to get to Ardgour and the pub etc but do check what's happening on the day as it's a long diversion otherwise!!!
