Why stay here ...

Secure your 2024 or 2025 holiday with only a £5 deposit* when you book by 30 September 2024!

Bunree Club Campsite in Onich, just 10 miles from Fort William, is a fantastic highland holiday destination and must be one of the loveliest areas on the network in scenic terms - it is, quite literally, breathtaking. Your caravan can be parked almost at the water's edge of Loch Linnhe, with your view overlooking the beauty and the splendour of the mountains across from it. You may even be lucky enough to spot sea otters from your pitch. You'll spend a day or two acclimatising to all this natural beauty at the caravan park before you even want to explore further afield.

When you do fancy an expedition, Bunree Club Campsite is near what should be one of your first ports of call - a visit to magnificent Ben Nevis. You can take a cable car to the upper terminal (2,300ft) of the Aonach Mor Mountain, for fabulous views of the whole mountain range, the Great Glen and the islands of Skye and Rhum. The site also gives you easy access to guided mountain walks if you choose. Another landmark that is not to be missed is Glencoe - you'll find it eerie and exciting being in the location of one of the most the famous massacres in history, still legendary after three centuries. You can also enjoy the journey on the Jacobite steam pulled train from Fort William to Mallaig (advance booking is advised).

Peaceful two nights

Bunree Club Campsite
I feel a little sad writing this review, I really wanted to be wowed by this site as it’s been on our to do list for some time. Don’t get me wrong the location is beyond beautiful, the views are breathtaking, however for the price paid I would have like many others have said expected better from the facilities they are in dire need of upgrading and unfortunately really let down the site.

Beautiful location, especially in good weather

Bunree Club Campsite
Lovely site which is very peaceful and has the usual high standard of club facilities. It is lovely when the weather is nice, but clearly less perfect when it's not! The loch side pitches have the best views but are quite exposed to the wind. The free passenger ferry to Corran leads to a lovely walk around the lakes. Another nice place to visit nearby is across the loch from Fort William at Corpach, where there is a pleasant walk along the Caledonian canal which leads to a beach with an atmospheric beached ship with a view across to Ben Nevis. Again you need good weather to really enjoy this.

Stunning location

Bunree Club Campsite
First time here and enjoyed a warm welcome on arrival. We absolutely loved the location. We were lucky with the weather, so the sunsets and beautiful clear, starry skies were amazing. However, we have to agree with everyone else the toilet block, although kept clean, is in very poor condition and in serious need of an upgrade. Come on Caravan Club, we pay an annual membership fee and a high daily rate considering the facilities. You need to address this!

Sept 2024 review - Bunree

Bunree Club Campsite
Just spent a few days at Bunree (Onich) site. Have been several times in the past over a few years. Great location for outdoor enthusiasts and nice and quiet plus handily placed for touring or using as a stage post en route. I WILL return but think the following should be addressed:- - shower / toilet blocks getting very tatty and dated with gaffer tape in various places and black mould; - traffic light system for access in and out the site is frustrating. I think it needs motion sensors so that when it is clear you don't have to hand around polluting the area; - the very non existent shop is poor. A few essential basics would be appreciated such as bread and milk etc.etc.etc. - it is ridiculous how some new arrivals speed in to grab lochside pitches at 1pm! What can you do!

Amazing Location

Bunree Club Campsite
Had a loch side pitch (no awning) for 5 days. Stunning scenery, the weather was hit and miss across the time we were there, so witnessed sun, wind and heavy rain. Sunset on a nice day though is really nice across the loch. Facilities clean but agree with other comments that a refurbishment of the shower blocks is overdue. Off lead dog walk is handy right by the loch, but we had to be careful of the local swan and her cygnets. Handily placed to visit Fort William & Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan, Glencoe and Oban. A walk to Inchtree Falls is also recommended.
