The site is lovely and the cleanliness is a tribute to the people running it … BUT ..
The showers are a disgrace. Adhesive tape repairing the walls. Badly in need of renewal. Not what is expected of a caravan club site.
Very poor indeed.
Fabulous site
Loved this site! Amazing views of the loch and mountains and great pitches in that they were a little more spread out and not rows and rows of vans/caravans that you find on some sites.
Staff friendly and helpful. We took our kayak and SUP on to the loch direct from site which was great. Good location for walks and Glencoe. The mobile butcher who visits site on Thursday is great. We stayed for a week and would have liked to stay longer.
Toilets a little dated as others have said but fully functional and didn’t detract at all from this fabulous site. We plan to return!

Fantastic views
Use this site for a stop over both outward bound and homeward bound whilst doing the NC500.
Very friendly welcome. We booked a non awning pitch so were able to have a beautiful front row pitch with fantastic views just yards from the beach. Our Labrador loved this. A small dog friendly area where you can take your dogs off the lead also. Site clean, tidy and well maintained, as are the shower blocks. Wardens always on hand with great advice on which roads to take and avoid on our journey home.....very helpful and time saving for us. Thank you.
We experienced 2 different weather conditions on our stays but it still gave us fantastic views of the loch and mountains.
Location, Clean, Peace.
The perfect site for a peaceful stay surrounded by mountains, loch and fresh air. Gorgeous staff, clean facilities and well spaced out mostly level pitches although some do need ramps for motorhomes/campers. Within easy reach of Fort William and beyond its an ideal base.
Perfect location for peace and quiet
Just had 2 weeks at Bunree. The location is absolutely stunning and so quiet.
The staff were very friendly and helpful which sadly isnt always the case on CAMC sites.
There is plenty to do in the area without too much of a drive. I was incredibly lucky not to see any midges for the whole fortnight too.
The only bit of constructive feedback I would give, and it has been said before, is that the shower block is looking tired and dated. It is however, fully functional and clean. I am sure it will be on the list for updating before too long.
Great stay in the Scottish Highlands
We have just returned from 8 lovely nights at Bunree. This was our second visit, our first being last summer, and once again we didn't want to leave. The site is in a great location just south of Fort William. We have a pitch (#78) on the second row of the site from Loch Linne, the view was good. Although the weather was mixed on our stay, we were never short of opportunities for activity. A particular local highlight for us was the microbrewery Ardgour Ales, a short walk/cycle away and free ferry crossing on the Corran Ferry, the ale here was very good, as was the welcome and simple food offering.
The facilities on site are a little dated, but they work OK and are kept spotlessly clean. I think generally the other users of the site at the time also treat the facilities with respect which can only help.
Generally I felt the site had a great family atmosphere, sounds of children playing enjoying themselves, not particularly plagued by dogs barking uncontrollably, although there were many well behaved dogs there.

Bunree June & July 2024
We were absolutely blown away on arrival by the beautiful location of the Bunree site, we are relatively new to Motorhome life (4 years in) & this is without doubt the most wonderful view from any pitch that we have stayed at so far.
To be able to look out to sea so closely was a breathtaking experience.
The clearly happy & contented herd of cows at the entrance was an absolute delight to behold.
A super & very welcome surprise was the opportunity to buy locally sourced fresh fish / seafood & meat from mobile vendors visiting the site:
Iain Stewart on Wednesday afternoon of each week at 14:30 (a very friendly & hugely knowledgeable gentleman who will if requested happily advise you on how best to cook your chosen fish) we devoured & immensely enjoyed fillets of lemon sole, salmon steaks, haddock & cod loin (prawns, scallops, smoked fish & dressed crab are also available but availability will obviously be “catch dependent”) all spanking fresh & only caught the night before, absolutely superb, how often do you have an opportunity to talk to the person who actually caught the fish that you are going to eat).
Just brilliant, something I will treasure & never forget 👍
Lochaber butchers on Thursday afternoon of each week at 14:30 (a fantastic & irresistible array of delicious meat products) the burgers, sausages, & stewing beef were the finest we have enjoyed in many years (like proper meat used to taste) we also took home a topside joint plus pork steaks, all highly commended, pork chops & ribeye steaks also available).
Inchree Falls is a short walk from the site & not to be missed, fantastic views.
Our visit to Bunree is something we will never forget, thank you so much.
Beautiful views
Site is excellent for views and relaxation.
Had a problem with our hook up as someone else in it so we tried the next one but that didn’t work so saw the warden who couldn’t have been more helpful and sorted it all out.
The lady in reception was so lovely and friendly.
Managed to do some washing but could I suggest just a spinner for spinning hand washing.

Beautiful!!!!
The site, right on the loch side is so beautiful!
We were greeted by a small herd of cows outside the gate, which held up the traffic lights entry system!!
The facilities were plentiful and really clean
The local hostelry Roam West - within walking distance serves amazing food and great beer!
One of our favourite sites.
We stayed at Bunree for a night again on our travels around the NC500 recently. As usual the staff were friendly and helpful. Good clean facilities. Wonderful views and a beautiful location. We would recommend going across on the Corran ferry as a foot passenger, and doing the woodland walk, with a nice pub stop before catching the ferry back. Definitely one of our favourite sites.
