A bad day at the office ,

Great site, beautiful location, immaculate toilet block, let down by the female warden who basically accused us of lying when

Even does scooter repairs

This is a brilliant site and one of our favourites. Lovely size, facilities great, really nice play area for the children and fantastic views. Wardens were some of the very best that we have come across. Always smiling and helpful, I took my sons scooter to them to ask if I might borrow an allen key and the warden got all his tools out and fixed the scooter there and then. Wish I had got his name as he deserves a mention and I didn't. Cannot think of one even tiny negative about this place, it is really really good!

2 night stop over

We used this site for a 2 night stopover before starting the NC 500, the site is very attractive, neatly kept and in a very scenic location, the facilities were clean and well kept. The site is peaceful with no road noise, the only reason we have not give it top marks is because of the inconsiderate dog owners who think it is ok to tie their animals to their units and let the area around them become a dog toilet, when there is a perfectly adequate dog walking area provided, some owners not even being bothered to pick up after them wherever they go, this needs to policed more rigorously.

Lovely site

We stayed one night at this site as a stopover on our way home. Staff were friendly and helpful, and facilities were very clean and tidy. The site was full and we had the last pitch which was along the wooded edge, still with great views. Would like to have stayed longer!

Dog Heaven ??

Had planned on visiting here for a while because of the write up in the guide , and used it to break my journey back down the country from the far North , my conclusion is that it is really only useful for a stopover even if the following points were resolved . The views are pretty good , yes , but the Loch is mostly inaccessible , and any of the local walks require leaving the site , and crossing a busy road . When I see the sign "Dog walk" I read "Dog Toilet" , which would be bad enough but even though the rules state to only walk dogs on designated area it is ignored by most , and on both my mornings there I was treated to watching 5 or 6 dogs fouling the grass in front of the Loch while their owners stood and let them ---while I was having breakfast ---YUK !! Some people brought up to 4 dogs with them , so this place is pretty much infested with them --what is going on here , it's more like Crufts than a holiday park for people .The staff here are more or less unapproachable too , and to top it all I witnessed someone parking their car on an available pitch to reserve it for someone else who arrived much later ---this needs nipping in the bud before it becomes like the "Towels on sun-beds" arrangement we know so well , if not by the staff here who seem to turn a blind eye to infringements of the rules then by the club itself . Oh yes , and there was wind and rain --and midgies ! Very disappointed and glad to leave for home , and before the furore about my comments starts , remember a review is to say what you see --this is what I saw .

Wonderful Location

This site is in the most beautiful location and in a great position to visit the Highlands and Western Scotland. We stayed for a week and for half of that time it was wet, cold and windy while the rest of the UK basked in a heatwave, so I would suggest that you check the long range weather forecast before you book. In the week we were there we had two good days, one of which we used to visit Ben Nevis which was amazing. The site is kept to a very high standard and the toilet block is kept immaculate. The wardens are really helpful and friendly - this has to be one of the best sites we have visited.

WOW!

We haven't been to this site for a few years and had forgotten how spectacular the views are. We had a loch-side pitch and just spent hours transfixed by the beautiful scenery. It must be THE most picturesque site on the network for its majestic mountain views. The facilities are up to usual Caravan Club high standards and the whole site is kept perfectly spick and span by the lovely wardens. The only gripe we have is that there is a designated dog walk on site which is a large area right by the lochside and as directed in the site leaflet, owners must not walk their dogs in any other part of the site. But yes, you've guessed it - selfish dog owners think that rule does not apply to them and insist on using the grass in front of the outfits pitched facing the loch, to exercise and allow their little darlings to use it as a toilet. We all love dogs, but don't want to watch an animal defecating in front of our caravan windows!! This problem has to be controlled and perhaps a sign directing these people elsewhere would help? Otherwise, a fabulous location and one that stays with you for a long time.

Reviews live up to expectations

All the reviews said it is the perfect location and we were not disappointed, spent 3 nights in mid May for a trip on Jacobite rail journey to Mallaig (a must do) booked again mid August for 3 nights. My only gripe if WiFi was a waste of time and money

On Tour Of Scotland

Stayed at this site to visit Fort William, The site met our expectations with great views. we found the wardens very friendly and the site well maintained. We would recommend this site for touring the west of Scotland, Isle of Mull and the Grampians. But we found Fort William a dump not as we remembered it being like this in the 70s when we camped there.
