Fabulous site.

This was our third visit and won't be our last. Although we live in Devon, we use this site to explore the beautiful coastline and surrounding area. Willingcott is immaculate, the shower block is luxurious, clean, warm with plenty of hot water. The pitches are generous and level. We love it.

Excellent Site

Stayed for 5 nights from 16th September. Everybody very friendly and welcoming. Toilets and facilities were first class and always clean. Nice walk along dissued railway track into Ilfracombe (approx 4 miles) but the return is all uphill so some people may choose to get the service bus back. Would have no hesitation in using this site again.

Fantastic welcome.

Toilets and shower-block much better than anticipated, admittedly everything is new but the wardens kept them pristine.  Very well laid out site with excellent pitches and very well maintained surroundings, a credit to all concerned. And what a welcome! People often remark on friendly wardens but there are times we wouldn't agree; certainly not unfriendly but perhaps a tad unapproachable. But not at Willingcott! Genuine warmth came through from the onset, and remained throughout our stay.

Dog walk

Everything said previously about the shower block and well kept site are true .It was outstanding. The only reason I wouldn't go back is the dog walk was either down a tarmac cycle track OR if you headed towards Woolacombe you had a 1/2 mile of road before you hit the footpaths. I like to let my dog loose and this was a bit of an issue. If your dog is happy on a lead then fine. That said it was a decent site and lots seem to like it.

Fantastic Site

Only purchasing our caravan this year this was our first visit to a Club site - wow - if this was anything to go by we will be visiting many many more sites. The wardens were so friendly and very helpful, the site was immaculate, the shower block was spotless, and the dog walk area was perfect. I would recommend this fantastic site to members and we are looking forward to a return visit next year.

Best facilities on the circuit

We have just returned from two fabulous weeks holiday at Willingcott and would like to offer our thanks to the kind, helpful and very hard working team of Wardens .This is a beautiful site which is very well maintained. Woolacombe is nominated as the UK's number one beach , and we would agree .We have no reservation in recommending this excellent site to all members.

A Gem of a Site

We spent a week here in early September. The wardens could not have been more helpful and friendly, even searching for information on parking in Barnstaple for us. The facilities were excellent and immaculate. Probably the best we have come across. The site was fairly quiet, being the end of the school holidays, but the families with children still on holiday spoke of it being very suitable for them.

Get Away from It All

High standard site in a wonderful location. Facilities on site are as expected from a C C site but with the added advantage of the old railway walk alongside. Pub and Golf Club pub just a reasonable walk away and stunning views. Don't worry about the last few yards of narrow road...once you round the first bend its easy to see and to pass. Lots to see and do within a few miles too

Superb site. Great location. Perfect Amenities Block

We took a week here in early September. We prefer a grass pitch and even though it had rained (lots) before we arrived, our pitch (148) was in superb condition. There are more hardstandings than grass pitches, these are more level than the grass ones, but it was easy enough to pitch level anyway. Grass short mown everywhere. The Amenities block was simply First Rate - looked as if the money spent last year paid off Big Time. Heated, with good showers, and every facility. A play area for the kids wasnt used by us - or anyone else - they should have been back at school anyway - but it looked great fun. An ex-railway walk adjacent to the site takes you to Ilfracombe if you so desire. 6 miles, didnt feel like it, cos its more or less downhill. The views are beautiful en route. Er- we got the bus back!! Wardens were lovely, helpful, friendly, even when I got the wrong end of the one way system stick. LOL!! Only 2 miles into Woolacombe but beware the parking charges - £6 a day off season or £8 in high. Wow!! Great pub (Fortesques) at the top of the road - good food and free wifi. Didnt rate The Plough, 200 yds in the other direction. Access road is narrow in places which was tricky as we met a Calor Truck coming the other way!!! (We made him do all the work in backing up etc - lol). We will return to Willingcott one day.
