Certainly the best for 2016

This is our 5th outing this year and I am pleased we came to Willingcott. The facilities are excellent. The shower/ toilet block is one of the best I have seem in recent years. The access to Woolacombe Beach is well marked with several public walkways. I had the misfortune to brake down with a burnt out starter motor. Not a problem the site referred me to a local garage and we were back on the road within an hour. The access to the site can be tricky for large caravans or motor homes. We hit it lucky and had no problems getting on to the site.

willington site

Very nice clean and tidy site. Toilets/showers are the very best. Very friendly staff. Site is easy to get to and plenty of places to visit. Nice little village nearby, Morthoe which has a very friendly pub called "The Ship Aground. Worth a visit, free parking after 1800 hours.

Windy spot - spotless toilets

Stayed here for 7 nights - picked pitch 37 - lovely corner plot with fab views - Lundy Island on a clear day - however it is also possibly the windiest pitch on the site so beware if the wind is blowing - make sure your awning is properly secured. Only really spoke to the wardens the day we arrived but found them to be really friendly. Finally the toilet block - lots of hot free flowing water in the showers - plenty of them and all immaculately clean.

Dogs

We visit Willingcott regularly as we did for for days last weekend ,only criticism last week only was irresponsible dog owners with dogs off there leads on the site ,and I know nothing can be done but on the cycle path as well  I am a dog owner who respects site rules its quite simple

Excellent Site

A clean well run site with first class facilities and an excellent team of wardens. Access to the site on the last 300 yards of road is tight, but all users are familiar with the difficulties and ensure traffic flows. The local pub was (for us) a dead loss, a typical british "carvery" establishment - we could not recommend. The site is relatively isolated and requires use of a car (or a hardy cyclist) to visit anywhere - though most places are a relatively short distance. It is also fairly exposed, great when the sun shines but make sure you have your steel pegs and storm lashing with you. We enjoyed our visit for the second week of July, with the added advantage of good weather. WiFi access is hopeless - the warden stated it was due to excessive demand on the non-fibre link to the exchanged, but I tried a couple of times in the early hours and it was still hopeless. I suspect the problems are more likely due to the clubs access software.

Quiet and immaculate

Great site close to the coast. Very peaceful and the facilities are absolutely immaculate. We have a dog and a motorhome so we like to have plenty of dog walks and places to see within a short distance of the site. There's a path at the rear of the site that stretches all the way to Illfracombe but it's fairly linear so not many places to vear off to. If you have a car, this site is a must and the wardens were top notch.
