Pitch Booked but occupied by others
Great site and location and with good facilities . However when we arrived at 7 pm after a long day we were directed by the warden to the first pitch which unfortunately was already occupied We went back to reception where the warden offered another pitch but this had car a parked on the space . I know the site was very busy but in my view this is poor site management by the wardens, who although tried to be very helpful , should not allow such circumstances to occur . Unfortunately the car owner who occupied the 2nd space had been drinking and was extremely rude to us .This could have been prevented if the warden had taken full ownership of the situation and personally directed us to the new pitch .As a result of the tension created with the car owner I insisted on being directed to another pitch for which the warden then decided to take us personally to. I really think the warden should have done this after we found the first pitch occupied but we had to find the pitch and subsequently try to resolve the issue with the parked vehicle. Our experience with other club sites wardens would not allow this situation to happen let alone allow a car to park in the wrong space !
However despite this unfortunate incident we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will visit again but I would recommend that future visitor ask the warden to show then to their pitches if they find a pitch occupied !.
