Brilliant site with great staff

I stayed here for two nights last week after my wife had been taken ill on our way home and had to stay in Warwick hospital for three days. The staff there could not have been more helpful, even tho they were pretty much full to capacity. The site itself is in a fantastic location for visiting Warwick and has the best dog walking of anywhere I have been. Once my wife is better I will be visiting with her for sure

Wonderful Warwick

We spent three nights here at Warwick Racecourse. The site: for visiting the town, location could not be better, as the racecourse is just off the town centre. That said, it is located in a little oasis of calm within the racetrack, gving a reassuringly safe feel to the stay. Sainsburys is a 6 minute walk alongside the track. The facilities: the racecourse loses a star due to dated facilities that are in need of upgrade. Stephanie reports that her breath is warmer than the single, intermittent hand-dryer. The town: it is evident why Warwick is considered such a prize, with superb Tudor and medieval architecture, and a modest but ample range of shopping. The highlight: take a walk down Mill Street to the Mill Garden, a delight owned and managed by David and his wife bordering the river Avon; arguably our best-spent treat. Walking: Stephanie and I walked up to the Saltisford Canal Centre and then took the tow path through dozens of working locks to take coffee and cake at Hatton Locks Cafe.

Excellent central location

A very nice site which is central to many places of interest in the central part of the country. Warwick is around a 10 minute walk as is Sainsburys. The site is clean and the wardens are friendly and helpful. The only issue was a member who had 2 uncontrolled terriers which rushed out to any other passing dogs. Why do they think they can treat a site as if it's their own back garden,

Seems like Home

Just spent a few days at Warwick our last stop after our May tour of Scotland. Fantastic weather and such a well kept site with lovely walks around the racecourse as well as a Sainsbury's just a 5 minute walk away. Everything in Warwick is just a short stroll away as well as the castle. The toilet block is rather dated but very clean and the ladies hand dryer does work just hold your hands still under it no shaking them around - this is an old style dryer! This site always seem like home with extremely friendly wardens, who warned us of the racing on our last day, meaning an early departure to clear the hardstanding area in front of the stand before 10.00am we aimed to be out by 9.00 as we thought there could be a queue at the motorhome emptying point. We've never been home so early from one of our tours!

Fantastic location

A great place to stay especially in a motorhome, as the town is only 5 - 10 mins walk away. Excellent walks along the canal and around the town. I read one review about the staff being short tempered, but this certainly wasn't our experience, they were very helpful. We had booked at short notice and were on our way from another when and the wardens rang us to let us know about an unscheduled race meeting that was taking place and to be aware of possible delays. In fact the race meeting was an unexpected bonus. A good site and we will certainly be returning.

Great site

Having recently spent a weekend at this site I can report that the location is fantastic, great to see the races and just a short stroll from Warwick town. However I found the wardens stressed and short tempered which put a dampener on the whole experience, but the site location is excellent.

Week at Warwick Racecourse May 20017

We have just returned from what we can only say was a fantastic relaxing Weeks holiday. The site is in a fantastic location with the town only 10 mins walk away with Warwick castle and many other attractions. A bus stop is within 5 mins walk. You do not need to use your car at all if you use the very good bus service taking you to all the main areas close by Leamington, Stratford upon Avon, Coventry etc. There are great walks and cycle rides to be had especially taking in the Hatton Locks with a very rewarding pub on route. The site in our opinion is very well run by the new Wardens Sandra and Bernie who were very friendly and helpful with any information that you may need. The showers and toilet blocks are clean as are the waste disposal points and washing up area with everything working well. If you manage to get a booking when the races are on this make for a great time out, would advice to book entrance in advance as there are some good deals to be had. Many thanks to you both for making our stay so enjoyable. Ian and Kathy Rooker

Weekend April in Warwick

Site is ideally located and would be great on a race day. Pity we didn't check that when booking as there was a meet the day following our departure :-(. Close to city centre, Sainsbury's a short walk away. Agree with other comments re the facilities but clean and OK nevertheless. Discount voucher for Warwick Castle a "must" and can be obtained from the info kiosk on site. Love the area and location so will be back. Felt staff might be a "little tired" which was strange for the start of the season. Reason - a couple of times I thought that they were a little brusk.

Happy Campa

Really enjoyed our stay at Warwick, we were there when the races were on and woiuld thoroughly recommend it. Walked into the town which is not far and put a small bet on the races so it made it more enjoyable.. Site nicely kept and Wardens very accomodating. Would go again.
