Lovely stay

Like all club sites it is pricey but at least it is in a very good position. Easy walk into Warwick and the Castle. We stayed 2 days, at the end of July, with friends and were fortunate with the weather. I had requested hard standing (because we were in motorhomes) but didn't realise this meant you were actually on a car park. For the two nights it didn't really matter but, if we go again, I would request a grass pitch.

Good site for dogs but!

The hard standing pitcheson on this site are on the tarmack car park, and although they overlook the grandstands these pitches are no the most picturesque. The big problem for me as a caravaner though is the lack of a service point at the farm end of the site! There only being one grey water disposal point (by the entrance) means a long treck with the waste hog, also the drinking water point is recessed so you have to lift the full aguaroll up before starting back on the long walk back. . When we stayed there was a cycle event starting at the racecourse and the track round the outside of the site was used by cars arriving at 7am as a cross-country race track, no no peacefully lie in for us. The plus point however is the ability to let the dog run in the fields behind the site.

Lovely stay at Warwick Racecourse

Recently spent 4 nights over the August bank holiday weekend at this site. Had a lovely relaxing short break, so close to Warwick and the river. Pitched overlooking the racecourse which was something different and really nice. Would recommend the walk to Hatton Locks. A quite easy walk and the pub at the top of the 21 locks is well worth a visit, although a little expensive it has lovely views. Directions for the walk available from the site reception. Am sure we will visit again.

Lovely Site

I stayed here for a week whilst attending a conference at Warwick University, it gave me enough distance to reflect and relax. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. My partner stayed the first night then the last weekend, the pricing was sorted no problem. The site is immaculate thanks to the wardens, I stayed 7 nights and not once was there an issue. It's a fabulous location for Warwick and other attractions, there is a dog walk next door and a micro brewery and fantastic chippy in walking distance. Well worth a visit.

EXCELLENT SITE

Just spent 2 nights on this site - perfect for visiting Warwick and Warwick Castle both within walking distance, and good public transport links to nearby Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa , and further afield. The wardens are really great, approachable, friendly and extremely helpful. The shower/toilet facilities are pristine and no matter what time of day always smelled as if they had just been cleaned. Excellent walks adjacent to the campsite for walking dogs

Overnight stay

What a little haven we found for an overnight stay on our return journey from Portsmouth to Manchester. The wardens were so welcoming and helpful. Thankyou. Our little boy loved riding on his bike around the place. We wished we could have stayed longer as there seemed to be lots of places of interest so we will definitely return. The old four penny shop hotel just up the road was fabulous for our evening meal. we were made very welcome. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

A really nice site with lovely site wardens.

Just spent a lovely weekend at this site, wasn't sure at first as it was like parking on a big car park but it actually turned out to be really good as our granddaughter spent ages on her scooter. Sandra and Bernie the club wardens are two of the nicest wardens you will meet and a credit to the club. We will be looking to return later in the year as Warwick was a great weekend place to visit and the restaurants are good as well.

Brilliant site with great staff

I stayed here for two nights last week after my wife had been taken ill on our way home and had to stay in Warwick hospital for three days. The staff there could not have been more helpful, even tho they were pretty much full to capacity. The site itself is in a fantastic location for visiting Warwick and has the best dog walking of anywhere I have been. Once my wife is better I will be visiting with her for sure

Wonderful Warwick

We spent three nights here at Warwick Racecourse. The site: for visiting the town, location could not be better, as the racecourse is just off the town centre. That said, it is located in a little oasis of calm within the racetrack, gving a reassuringly safe feel to the stay. Sainsburys is a 6 minute walk alongside the track. The facilities: the racecourse loses a star due to dated facilities that are in need of upgrade. Stephanie reports that her breath is warmer than the single, intermittent hand-dryer. The town: it is evident why Warwick is considered such a prize, with superb Tudor and medieval architecture, and a modest but ample range of shopping. The highlight: take a walk down Mill Street to the Mill Garden, a delight owned and managed by David and his wife bordering the river Avon; arguably our best-spent treat. Walking: Stephanie and I walked up to the Saltisford Canal Centre and then took the tow path through dozens of working locks to take coffee and cake at Hatton Locks Cafe.

Excellent central location

A very nice site which is central to many places of interest in the central part of the country. Warwick is around a 10 minute walk as is Sainsburys. The site is clean and the wardens are friendly and helpful. The only issue was a member who had 2 uncontrolled terriers which rushed out to any other passing dogs. Why do they think they can treat a site as if it's their own back garden,
