We have stayed at Warwick site many times due to its proximity to the town and always find the wardens very pleasant. It is a very basic site with many uneven pitches and hardstandings next to the race course are just on a tarmac car park with EHU. The few hardstanding pitches on the site itself are ok. Many of the grass pitches are are uneven and do get waterlogged in bad weather. Toilets and showers are barely adequate (there were queues for ladies & gents every day while we were there). There is also only one dishwashing sink.
The advantage to this site is that it is only a few minutes walk to the town which has many small shops and plenty of coffee shops & eateries. It is only a short drive (or a bus trip) to the towns of Stratford, Kenilworth, Leamington etc.
Its a good site for short stays as long as you don't expect the usual high standards of most CMC sites.
Good site for walks and city visit
Stayed for five nights in caravan. We were located in the copse in the middle of the site - excellent - clean - plenty of grass - quiet. Wardens very helpful and the facilites were A1. I am not so sure that I would want to stay alongside the periphery of the racetrack. This would be on hardstanding - gave me the impression of being in a parking lot with a line up of motorhomes along the periphery of the race course.
The site is centrally located in the middle of the racecourse and surrounded by it. The racecourse is on the periphery of Warwick. It has a lot of open accessible land in the centre of the course. The city is reachable easily by walking and the Castle, River, Town, Large Park and Grand Union Canal are all within walkable distance. Bus station close by with services to most of the surrounding region. A very nice location and dog owners have plently of space in which to walk their dogs.
I would definately recomend the site for a visit to the area - easy access to Warwick and surrounding areas. Plenty to see and do.
The staff are BRILLIANT!!
Well all I can say is that although I barely used the physical facilities except for water and EHU my experience with the staff was absolutely brilliant! Had a bit of a major crisis when staying there.. I lost the keys to my MH! Well I was in a bit of a panic and approached the staff for assistance... (im ashamed to say that I never noted down their names! Sorry!)well they pretty much took over, calming me right down and then methodically ringng first Sainsbury's, and went down there to fetch some keys which turned out not to be mine, before contacting the police.... I meanwhile being the pessimist (compared to their optimism) started trying to organise with a courier to send my spare et down from home c/o a neighbour. Was just about to finalise this when the lady came across and said that her partner was already on his way to Leamington Spa police station where they thought they had my keys.. postponed organisation of courier and tried to chill and wait... within 20 minutes the gentleman was back... clutching my keys! Never been so relieved in my life! They were an extremely nice couple who went out of their way in my crisis and I will always be very grateful for that. Additionally the site was perfect for walking my dog alongside my mobility scooter (very few places where you can accommodate both but Warwick hit the nail on the head) I just wanted to stay longer and will definitely be back , maybe for the races? You would get a brilliant view of the action from inside your MH if parked on one of the course frontage plots! Thank you SO much to the staff at Warwick!

First ever trip in touring caravan
This was our very first trip in our new touring caravan so we were a little bit stressed after 180 miles on the motorways.
We were immediately made welcome by the very friendly wardens Barbara and Jim, everything was explained clearly regarding how to pitch up etc. This was much appreciated.
Although the weather was terrible we booked an extra night as we were enjoying the experience.
The site is in the heart of the town so everywhere was walking distance including a good Wetherspoons pub!
Nice clean and warm showers and toilets. Well kept site .
Will definitely return, thank you very much for your help and hospitality.

Expensive car park
very disappointed with this site.
The only pitches on this site that are halfway decent are the awning pitches.
Three nights on a car park for £84 is, in my opinion out of order.
Compared to other sites in the club, its run down & badly in need of a revamp.
Bac Again
Love this site, so convenient for us from the south to the north. Friendly Wardens. Bit of an outdated toilet block but this is a Racecourse so I'm not sure if C&MC are allowed to update it. Good to see a new hand dryer in the ladies, although I did find if it gets too hot (too many of us using it one after the other) it stops working!!! Lots to see and do in the area and Coventry just down the road too. Don't want to advertise it too much as we love it here and need to get booked in usually twice a year!
Great site
Stayed here for four nights prior to going to the National. Lovely site, perfect for visiting Warwick and surrounding areas. Wardens very welcoming on arrival. Supermarket only a 10 minute walk away. Would recommend.
Great for visiting Warwick
This a lovely compact site, set right beside the race course. On arrival the relief wardens were very welcoming and more than helpful.
The toilet block is in need of updating, but the showers are fine.
TV reception is definitely hit and miss, depending on which part of the site you are on .
It's a short walk into Warwick, and you can walk or cycle along the Grand Union canal to Leamington Spa,or in the opposite direction the flight of locks at Hatton is well worth a visit.
This is a site we would return to again.Even though there's no internet.
Warwick Racecourse
Third visit this year and once again everything was 1st class. The wardens are the best we have met on all the sites we have stayed at, they are always happy and smiling, glad to help you and very hard working. The facilities although dated are always very clean. Only problem is the hand driers in the toilets are very poor. An excellent site for walking into town which is very friendly with lovely shops, cafes and pubs, lots dog friendly.
Just a shame some people don't consider others when on site, walking behind motorhomes and caravans to get to the water tap is just rude.
no internet
Usual high standard for the club, apart from their being no internet, which in this age is a pity.
