Nice quiet little site

Second visit to this little site. Nothing has changed. Ideal for visiting Warwick. Helpful friendly wardens. Everything clean and tidy - no frills.

A great site.

A great site and all the positive reviews reflect the experience you can expect from the site and surrounding area. Warwick a very pleasant town with many places of interest, good and varied eating places. Those that don’t appreciate high standards of site service will find something to comment on but the rest of us appreciate the efforts in these difficult times. Will return.

Perfect location for Warwick

We had two nights here in April to start our tour off. It is a nice site, not my favourite but has some great aspects to it. We were booked in efficiently and given all the relevant information. I try very hard to be as quick as possible as the wardens must be seeing lots of people everyday and in covid times this must make them a little nervous. We found a couple of pitches we tried were a bit small for our 7m van so not sure how others manage. Found one on the edge which was good. I would agree with other reviewers that would not want non awning pitch as these are basically in the car park. Didn't use the showers or toilets but used the water and waste etc. All very well organised and clean. Easy walk into town, so central to lovely Warwick. There is a supermarket close by as well. We also did the walk around the race course. I would return to this site for the position close to Warwick vey handy.

First, but not last visit

Our first visit to this site and to Warwick. It is a small site situated within the racecourse, with a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches, all with electric hook up. There is no TV connection available, however we used our own Wi-Fi to view and that worked fine. Facilities are up to the usual C and M standard and spotlessly clean. There is only one waste disposal facility so you may find yourself carrying a full cassette right across the site depending on where you pitch. We were on a grass pitch which was flat enough not to use chocks and there was ample space between vans to sit out without feeling cramped. The joy of this site however, is it's location. A short walk brings you into the lovely centre, the castle and a plethora of cafes shops pubs and restaurants. Ideal for folks who, like us, enjoy our food and drink and don't want to drive once settled. We enjoyed our stay, and will be back.

Good location and very central

Good location for an overnight stop as close to M40. Very central for Warwick. Wardens friendly and helpful. Disappointed that there is no black waste disposal and only grey. Great fish and chip shop 5 mins walk away (The Chip Shed).

Excellent first Motorhome stay

The site is in a great location just a short walk from Warwick centre. The site is well maintained and the wardens were very helpful. The site is especially good for people traveling with dogs as the 'park' in the middle of the racecourse is ideal for them. This was our first visit to this site but it definitely wont be our last.

Back Again

Can't believe why there are so many negatives against the lady warden, I found her very friendly and extremely helpful as was her husband. Why are members so upset at being told off when arriving at 12.30 when arrival time is clearly stated as not before 13.00? The wardens should do as the previous wardens did, close and lock the gate only opening at 1.00 pm, no argument. I also agree with the wardens that there is a 'no visitors on site' (a Club Rule during Covid) why should we all be put at risk. We use this site frequently, it has a lovely walk all around the racetrack, also an amazing place to be on a race day. Easy walk into town and the castle is a must. Sainsbury's just across the track too, handy. Extremely helpful and friendly wardens we loved our visit, thank you.

Motorhome perfection

Brilliant site to stay with Motorhome. Walk across racetrack and you are in Warwick, a lovely town with individual shops, pubs and restaurants. Do try Tasca Dali Spanish restaurant- 35.00 for five courses which just appear and are always great! Bus connections are excellent. Leamington Spa - buses every 10 mins and Stratford Upon Avon not far though bus journey goes round the houses! Castle within walking distance though pre-booking essential. Site facilities dated but clean. Racecourse not spending money on updating them? Not sure why all 3 urinals closed? One could have remained in use ? Staff welcoming and friendly.

Enjoyable stay

Spent a very pleasant 5 night stay at this site to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Site is very well maintained and tidy. Some of the pitches are small but more than adequate. The facilities are very clean and tidy however I would have given a 5 star but they need a general paint and update. The wardens do a great job and both of them were at all times pleasant, helpful and very welcoming. We never at any time encountered any of the traits mentioned by a previous reviewer, far from it both wardens were professional and friendly. Both were very knowledgeable about the local area and forthcoming with help with advice. They have taken Covid regulations seriously and yes this has impacted on the number of facilities available but this is unfortunately outside their control and they manage it well. Thanks to them for taking steps to help keep us all safe. This was our third time at this site and every time we have really enjoyed our stay. Ten minutes walk to Warwick which has numerous restaurants and pubs and shops. There is a bus depot with a good selection of bus routes. Warwick castle is on the doorstop too. Top site and we will return especially if there is a race day as the site has first rate view point of the track.
