A super little site! Our two dogs loved the running and fun on their doorstep. The proximity to Warwick is great but the site is secluded and peaceful. The wardens, Cath and Roy, are friendly and hard-working and were most caring and helpful after I descended from our motorhome into a heap on arrival (so embarrassing!). We shall definitely return.
Lovely 2 night stay
We stayed here for 2 nights on our way home from south. Would definitely stay here again for longer next time. Close to town and castle all within walking distance. Lovely walk around the race course with the dogs.
The place to stay in Warwick
Lovely situated campsite in the middle of Warwick racecourse. We chose a non awning pitch against the rails of the racecourse itself ( well across a very narrow path). Peaceful. Small site only 57 pitches and very popular. Facilities a little dated but spotlessly clean. I can imagine it is a wonderful place to be during a race meeting. All the sites and facilites of Warwick only a short uphill walk away. A Sainsburys is at a walkable distance through 2 carparks avoiding all roads. Excellent dog walking on the adjacent open parkland. We will be back on a race day hopefully. On site wardens ( only 2) very helpful and cheerful and always busy.
No racing today
Great site within the town limits. Only thing to check is if there are race days. On race days you can't enter or leave, unless on foot when a race is not in progress !
Toilet and shower block clean and the "covid band system" in use when we visited - but just like many other sites, the system breaks down because people either don't use it or don't take the band off the hook when they have finished using the facilities. Hopefully having to stand outside with crossed legs due to the pegs all filled up with bands will be a thing of the passed in 2022 - although the absent minded will have some other system to mess up.
Historic town and castle within staggering distance = read - plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants.
There are pitches right up against the track rails but these are not available on race days. These pitches just about manage to pick up wifi from the jockey club.
Despite location so close to town and within residential limits, it's quiet apart from the occasional emergency services sirens.
Filled up with water and forgot my tap adapter again !!! I'm starting to add £3 to every stop to pay for my own stupidity of leaving the Hozelock tap adapter on the tap....... I've never been in the luxurious position of finding someone has left theirs for me LOL.
Nice quiet little site
Second visit to this little site. Nothing has changed. Ideal for visiting Warwick. Helpful friendly wardens. Everything clean and tidy - no frills.
A great site.
A great site and all the positive reviews reflect the experience you can expect from the site and surrounding area. Warwick a very pleasant town with many places of interest, good and varied eating places. Those that don’t appreciate high standards of site service will find something to comment on but the rest of us appreciate the efforts in these difficult times. Will return.
still a gem .
Have been to Warwick Racecourse quite a few times now ,high standards remain the same and a very warm welcome from the Lady in reception ,very short walk to Warwick centre with all its lovely shops ,bars and history, will not be long before we are back again.
Perfect location for Warwick
We had two nights here in April to start our tour off. It is a nice site, not my favourite but has some great aspects to it. We were booked in efficiently and given all the relevant information. I try very hard to be as quick as possible as the wardens must be seeing lots of people everyday and in covid times this must make them a little nervous. We found a couple of pitches we tried were a bit small for our 7m van so not sure how others manage. Found one on the edge which was good. I would agree with other reviewers that would not want non awning pitch as these are basically in the car park. Didn't use the showers or toilets but used the water and waste etc. All very well organised and clean.
Easy walk into town, so central to lovely Warwick. There is a supermarket close by as well. We also did the walk around the race course.
I would return to this site for the position close to Warwick vey handy.

First, but not last visit
Our first visit to this site and to Warwick. It is a small site situated within the racecourse, with a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches, all with electric hook up. There is no TV connection available, however we used our own Wi-Fi to view and that worked fine. Facilities are up to the usual C and M standard and spotlessly clean. There is only one waste disposal facility so you may find yourself carrying a full cassette right across the site depending on where you pitch. We were on a grass pitch which was flat enough not to use chocks and there was ample space between vans to sit out without feeling cramped. The joy of this site however, is it's location. A short walk brings you into the lovely centre, the castle and a plethora of cafes shops pubs and restaurants. Ideal for folks who, like us, enjoy our food and drink and don't want to drive once settled. We enjoyed our stay, and will be back.
Good location and very central
Good location for an overnight stop as close to M40. Very central for Warwick. Wardens friendly and helpful. Disappointed that there is no black waste disposal and only grey. Great fish and chip shop 5 mins walk away (The Chip Shed).
