Just back from a Bank Holiday break at this site , this was our first visit and was impressed with what I've seen. The wardens were very helpful and friendly , Site is a small well run site , one improvement would be more showers , with only 3 showers in men's block at times you are queuing . Toilet blocks slightly outdated but very clean . 10 minutes from town market Square , good bus service for a trip to Stratford on Avon. Their was a family bank holiday festival on racecourse all weekend with live music till 10.30pm but this was good listening and not annoying. Would recommend to others and will be back ourselves.
Excellent site
This site is certainly different being located right next to the racecourse in Warwick. I found the staff friendly and helpful and they were very careful on arrival to ensure that queues didn't build up too much over the racecourse entry. There is a choice of hard standing, grass as well as as a tarmacked area which is adjacent to the actual Racecourse. This was a nice place to be so close to the track but be aware that it is used as a public footpath which is quite busy with chatting walkers and joggers at all hours, including early morning! It would be quieter not being against the rail. The Jockey Club do maintenance on the track such as mowing and watering and feeding the grass. They start at 8 a.m. in the morning, another reason for being a bit further away from the track if you like a lie-in!
There are lots of walks, including about a mile and a quarter around the racecourse. It is very close to Warwick. There's lots to see there and loads of places to eat. There is a little convenience store about 2 minutes walk away and a large Sainsbury's about 10 minutes walk.
A lovely little site!

best wardens
Just returned from Warwick one of our favourite sites, made even more special by the wardens Cath and Roy they are so very helpful and nothing is a problem for them ,always there with a friendly smile and to give advice on area.
If you have awards for nicest wardens our vote would go to them every time.
Top marks for site and wardens
Just had a week here and the wardens, Roy and Kath, deserve high praise. As a solo caravanner they could not have been more helpful. They had a friendly smile and a few words with you whenever you saw them. Roy helped sort out an EHU problem quickly and efficiently. The site is very well kept and and has good access to the town and local area. I would highly recommend this site.
One night stay at Warwick Racecourse
We had a one night stop over at Warwick on our way to London. The wardens Cath and Roy were friendly and approachable, explained the site brilliantly, they even stopped for a chat in the evening.
During our stay we cycled round the perimeter of the racetrack. Was so good to see the course, the height of the jumps and know its a safe place to let children on their bikes. The track is well used for walking, jogging or dog walking.
The toilets were clean and functioned perfectly (although slightly dated) with plenty of hot water.
We would like to return when its a race day so we can soak up the atmosphere.
Depending on where you are allocated you may need a long hook up cable (we were on the tarmac infront of the racecourse)
Overall a perfect place to come to when visiting Warwick and the surrounding areas.
Lovely site and very helpful wardens
We stayed here for a couple of days on our way back home from touring the south of England. Lovely site with great dog walks from your pitch. Immaculate and surprising quiet. The wardens were very helpful explaining everything in a very friendly manner. When I returned home we decided to book for a longer stay and when I rang the warden to ask something he could not have been more helpful booking me in and changing the date of another Caravan Club site to allow me to stay at Warwick. I lovely little find and I’m very much looking forward to exploring the area as there is so much to do within an hour of the site.
Superb site
We have stayed here twice so far and will be back. It is well-run, clean, quiet, and close to Warwick town. Access is well managed across the racecourse, the site is inconspicuous from the town/local perspective but is in easy reach of all Warwickshire has to offer. Motorised or on foot.
Staff are very helpful and go the extra mile, at their own expense (offering to lend crockery etc!).
A reviewer complained that access at 1300 needs controlling - adjust your arrival to suit and choose pitches appropriately - tarmac will not offer cool and shade, trees will drip and shed conkers but offer shade, grass will get muddy if it rains although the site is not soggy, gravel may be inbetween all of these!
Excellent site, well run and to be revisited!
It was very hot and very wet at different times during our 5 day stay at the end of July 2021 - all good fun!
Thanks to staff and their holiday replacements.
perfect spot!
we stayed for 2 nights at this perfect location. Warwick is a lovely little town with some lovely shops, pubs and restaurants, the tilted wig is very dog friendly too! The site is well kept and the wardens running it are very friendly and helpful, we didn't use the facilities as we use our own but if the rest of the site is anything to go by, then they will be spotless too! it is just a 2 minute walk into the town and st Nicholas park is just beautiful and perfect for walking the dog, even though mine decided to jump in the river! will definitely visit again
Small site - large pitches
Stayed for a few nights recently in very hot weather - well located for town access but not good for shade if you are adjacent to the racecourse on tarmac! Wardens helpful and well-organised but the policy of allowing units to queue up prior to arrival time at 1.00pm is a problem. More needs to be done at this (and other sites) to stress that arrivals will NOT be allowed on site before the allotted time. Arriving at 1.00pm as advised, it was frustrating to see a long queue of arrivals who had clearly ignored the advice given and were intent on selecting the better pitches before the appropriate time!! It is not difficult to find a lay-by en-route if one is running 'early' and then at least the problems of blocking access and rule-breaking will be minimised.
Stopover or longer? Both
We have used this site several times as a stopover. We decided a longer was warranted & this time we stayed for 5 days. Roy & Cath, the wardens go the extra mile. Always friendly, helpful & efficient. Ideal for walking. Warwick, places to eat & Sainsbury’s all a short walk. Facilities small but always clean. We’ll be back.
