A stormy weekend!!

We stayed here for a long weekend Friday to Monday over the vagaries of Storm Brian. We had a nice sheltered pitch which avoided the worst of the weather and the dogs seemed to like the place very much!! My only complaint is that the WiFi signal was very variable and fell out regularly. Annoying when you have spent £10 on it. Notwithstanding we shall return for a longer stay when the weather is better.....

Great Country Site

The site was pristine and the showers were immaculate with lots of hot water and good pressure. I love the fact that I'm treated like a responsible adult and I don't need to have one of those annoying push buttons to keep the water running while in the shower - I'm able to enjoy a fab hot shower and can turn off the water when I'm done. Thanks. We were a bit off season but there were still quite a few campers about. Peaceful and quiet with a lovey level hard-standing for our motorhome. The place was perfect for me but it didn't have TV reception, which my partner was disappointed about, hence the 4 "Ticks". If, like me, you like to get away from the tele as well as the busy life - this site is a 5 "Ticks" all day long. We'll be back. Thanks, Skinyourhat!

Storm Brian weekend in Cornwall

This was our 3rd visit to Treamble Valley and as always the staff are very friendly and all the facilities were spotless. As we had a storm over the weekend the pitch we has was very well sheltered from the wind. The location of the site is great for visiting local beaches and towns.

A lovely site

We have just got back from a two week holiday at Treamble. What a great site and in the perfect position to explore both the North and South Coast of Cornwall. Easy to get too taking just over Four hours from Dorchester the A30 is convenient and takes you to about 4 miles from the access road which winds down to the site. Surf beaches a plenty are all around you with Perranporth and Newquay really close. Hollywell bay is a beautiful beach and less than ten minutes from the site. There is so much to do in the area my advice if you have not already joined is to join the National Trust. There are so many interesting places to visit and with National Trust car parks all over Cornwall offering free parking you would be mad not to take up membership. The weather was awful during our visit but the site was good even on grass we just got on with it. A great welcome and outstanding facilities await you. We will return.

Love this site

We love this site and have been coming here for our sixth summer. Can't believe the previous 2 reviews - vintage 14 and g0evt ! It's not the wardens' fault we had a bad summer and heavy rain so there was not much they could do to stop the rain and muddy pitches ! And the reviewer who wants peace needs to holiday out of school holidays ! We love the site and the warden's were very helpful and friendly and did their very best during the heavy rain ! It's a lovely site !

One of the worst sites we have stayed on

We arrived on this site to be allowed a choice of 4 pitches all grass. The markers had been moved due to wet soggy grass conditions so we were parked in front of someone's caravan window. Due to more rain we were muddied up in the awning all holiday. The toilets were left dirty most of the time and the lack of them and showers for the amount of pitches was terrible.Every night youths hanged about outside the toilets and were very intimidating. The wardens never checked the site at all to check everything was ok. Very disappointed in this site, Cornwall is beautiful but improvements are certainly needed to the site. This is the first site I have complained about.

The noisiest site we've ever stayed at

The facilities are good and the staff are friendly but this has been the noisiest site we've ever stayed at. Don't pitch anywhere near the playground if you like a quiet life. Gangs of young teenagers shouting and screaming until 10.30 pm - parents? Some pitches are quite sloping so bring plenty of wedges. Don't think I've ever seen a site with so many barking dogs? Why do dog owners think it's acceptable to exercise their dogs on the grass next to someone else's pitch? We won't be returning, certainly not in the school holidays.
