Nice site

I enjoyed my visit to Treamble. It is situated on a hill which is fine so long as you are happy and able to walk up the hill to the shower block, dog walk etc. The site is clean and tidy. The only downside for me is the approach lane. Its fine if you meet oncoming traffic in your car but I dreaded meeting another caravan coming in the opposite direction as it would be very difficult to pass each other. I left the site extra early to make sure this didn't happen!

Cornish Heaven

Just had seven nights on this site, the site is always clean and tidy and a credit to the staff. In my opinion I think this site has the best dog walk on any club site in the country. I definitely will be returning to this site .

fantastic site

OH MY GOSH ! I completely disagree with the last reviewer (dixichicks) . What an inaccurate picture she painted of the site and the review she left was completely not true of Treamble Valley ! We have just returned after 17 days holiday at the site and we have been returning to this site for 5 years because it's fantastic. Can I set a couple of the comments she made straight about the site for future reference-a) The wardens have recently taken over and they have worked so hard to make new , pleasant changes to the site (bug house; herb garden for guests to help themselves- how kind; and radio playing in the shower rooms) b) most people return to this site year after year so most people love it otherwise they wouldn't return c) most people adhere to the rules on sites- you have the odd 'rude' child on most sites in the United Kingdom - it's not the site or the warden's fault that the young child used bad language ! ; d) the shower blocks and toilets are kept spotlessly clean by the wardens and finally e)it's not the warden's fault either that a tennis ball landed accidentally on your caravan and broke your dish! Please take note of the beautiful surroundings around a caravan site rather than focussing on petty negatives . Treamble Valley is one of our favourites and is well kept, pretty, and spotlessly clean.

Not the best experience!

We have just returned back from a 5 night break at the park. We were booked in for 6 nights but we left a day early. We always stay at club sites but disappointed in this site. First of all, security is sparse - no gates which means that anyone can enter the site. The sign at the main gate has a small printed instruction in the middle of the sign giving further directions and to be honest, another sign would be more useful. I, along with others were unsure where to go as it is a main entrance for other sites so it was confusing. During our stay, we had our satellite dome smashed by a tennis ball. We were not aware of this until the downpour in the night when the motorhome was then leaking. The next day I climbed onto the roof to discover the dome had been smashed and found a tennis ball at the side. The disposal point for motorhomes is not adequate and we barely managed to get parked over the drains. The toilet blocks are also very dated and in need of refurbishment. On our last evening, we were sat having a quiet drink when some children were riding around on their bikes and their language was foul! Just not the place we expected. We left a day early and drove to the Brighton site which was much better. Security gates/security, excellent facilities and great disposal points. The staff were friendly but that is all it had to offer us....sorry just being honest. The St, Agnes site looked much better as we drove by.

Another beautiful site

We spent 5 nights at this lovely site. It is in a fantastic location for visiting many beautiful places. The pitches were of an excellent, everything was lovely and clean and the wardens were extremely helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this site and would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you Treamble Valley for a lovely stay.

Great site , quiet when out of school holidays.

Lovely site , good location. Too many very early arrivals, guilty myself by half an hour , but departures by 12 seems odd as this conflicts with arrivals which should be after 12 . This becomes problematic on the approach road which is narrow in places . Perhaps a reminder of arrival and departure times when booking would help .

Lovely week away

Spent the 1st week of the summer holidays here. A lovely site away from any busy roads or background noise. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, decent sized pitches, with the kiddies washroom being very handy for the smaller ones, and a decent sized room, could do with a baby changing table though. It's quite a small road to get to the site, (definitely follow the sites directions, I took a wrong turn and went the wrong way, came to the turning from the wrong direction and drove for miles looking for somewhere to turn around) and I wouldn't like to meet another caravan coming the other way, but thankfully we didn't meet anything else on the road coming and going all week! The site Wifi was disappointing, connected easily, but very very slow, found it easier to just use the intermittent phone signal. Theres a lovely big play park for the kids to run around in, kept our 1,3 and 6 year olds entertained as did the sites activity book and adventure trail. If you wanted to be out the way more, then there are a few level pitches off to the side of the entrance road, surrounded by hedges, though they are a bit further from the toilet block. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future. The only thing that I really didn't like, wasn't the sites or staffs fault. Some caravans there had clearly gone together as a family getaway, and they were very noisy until late into the night (11pm-ish) a couple of nights, kids running around screaming and having family races between the caravans.

Fantastic Site, the best we have stayed on!

We have just come away from spending two weeks away at Treamble Valley Club Site, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The location is spot on for exploring Cornwall, we went everywhere from St Ives to Padstow to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. ( All well worth a visit). Yes the site is down a small lane and has no mobile reception, but that is the beauty of it, and it is part of what Cornwall is all about, drive any where and you will eventually go down these famously tiny roads! If you want a mobile signal, just walk up the hill a bit, enjoy the view and make your call, perfect, The wardens were very helpful, friendly, and they kept the site in tip top condition. The shop sells excellent fresh Cornish Pasties and bread along with milk and a selection of other food and camping essentials. It is also worth purchasing (50p) a printout of 5 walks from the site that the wardens have put together, we walked to Holywell bay and Perranporth using these. On Tuesdays and Thursdays a local butcher visits the site and his produce is great, especially the sausages. On Thursday evenings a Woodfired Pizza man comes to the site and Fridays you can get Fish and Chips from a mobile van. The layout of the site is great as the vans are not all in one place, they are spread out in various fields/glades, so it doesn’t seem like there as many caravans around you as there might be. The toilet block was always kept clean and tidy, and I never had to queue for a shower. The showers are lovely and warm and with good pressure. We will definitely be retuning when we visit Cornwall again. Thank you once again for a great stay. Nick and Alice

Great Site to Stay

We have just come home from Treamble Valley site after spending 14 nights there. What a pleasure it was fantastic, wardens will do anything for you. Great dog walks Ok you have to go to the top of the site but you can drive up. As for dangerous dogs there were none all behaved and kept on leads also the owners every picked up their dog mess there is enough dog bins and emptied regularly. Great site for touring we were on a grass pitch with sun all day. will be back again next year. I could go on and on about this site but i think i summed it up. Fantastic. Brian.

Dangerous Out Of Control Dogs

Visited this site last week. It is in an excellent location for exploring Cornwall. Most of the grass pitches are very slopey. There was no WiFi all week and there is no mobile phone signal on site. Approach to the site is along a small single track road, so arriving after 12 is a must to avoid vans leaving. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case as every day vans were queuing to get into the site from about 9.30 and were allowed in. Excellent site for dog walks although the dog walk itself was filthy due to inconsiderate dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs, there is no shortage of dog poo bins on site. Some people could do with lessons in how to be a responsible dog owner before they even think about getting a dog. I was walking my dog to the dog walk, on lead, and he was attacked by an extremely large black/white Newfoundland/Cross, this dog along with 2 others ran out of an awning and from behind jumped on my dogs back, had its teeth round my dogs neck and shook him, my dog isn’t a small dog but had he been, this dog would have killed him. The owner struggled to get his dog back. This attack was completely unprovoked and cost us £150 vet bill and caused us to have to leave a day early. These people had 3 dangerous dogs wandering loose. The people pitched at the side of us also had a dog wandering loose although this one wasn’t any bother to anybody. Reported this incident to the Warden but never heard anything back from them. Improvements are certainly needed on this site.

Comment from the Club:

We are so sorry you had a bad experience on a Club Site. The Staff on Site were aware of the incident that took place and did indeed speak with the owners directly and dealt with the situation appropriately.
