Relaxing stay

This is our 3rd visit to Rosedale and we will also be returning in the summer for 2 weeks, nice and peaceful and great location for the coast, three pubs within walking distance and also 2 tea rooms, Dogs are welcome in a couple of these so on a rainy day you still can go for cakes or a drink.  The staff as always are very helpful and there if you need them

peaceful site, great place to stay

Great location. Lovely village location close enough to east coast for visit to Whitby through beautiful country side. The site is clean, tidy, quite and has a great pub right outside the gate. Staff really friendly and very helpful. Will definitely visit again.

Back to Nature

We stayed The Monday to Thursday after the Tour of Yorkshire. The site had been full up till then, and the ground was wet, so the edges of the tarmac where turned up, quiet muddy. Thanks to the great work by the wardens, the site was soo back in tip top shape. The road running along the site can be a little noisy during the day, but by early evening it is very quiet. The bird song by day or evening is just a delight, Would recommend a stay, and the location is just exquisite for touring the North Yorkshire National Park. Will be Back.

Close to Nature

Beautiful, well cared for site, in a great location. Fantastic to see so much wildlife - pheasants, squirrels, owls and woodpeckers. Great pubs nearby all serving lovely food and dog friendly. The wardens were very welcoming and friendly. Theyhad clearly put a lot of effort into preparing the site for the Easter weekend. A pity there are no hard standings as the site becomes very boggy in wet weather. Over the Easter weekend there was a lot of damage to the grass, but I have no doubt the wardens will get it looking shipshape again in a short time. Looking forward to our next visit as there is plenty to do round the area.

lovely site.

Our third visit to this site and we will be sure to visit again this year. Lovely, friendly wardens, these two couldn't do enough to help out. They even towed our caravan on and off the pitch so we didnt churn up the pitch due to the amount of rainfall which had occurred.  Despite the weather it is still a lovely place to take our two children and dog.

Beautiful site

This has been our third visit to this site and we have booked again. A brilliant location and the wardens who look after it in my opinion are the best we have encountered in many years. Reading previous reviews for this site that there are no hardstandings and if it is wet and muddy it can be difficult. To be honest most of the problems are the drivers who churn up the grass through there own incompetence. This was seen time and time again on my last visit. The wardens are there to help any stranded members and do it always with a smile. Yes there is no mobile or internet connection on the site but it can be accessed off site at the nearby public house. In an emergency people can always contact the site direct.

No Hardstanding ect.

Hi, the Pitches were very wet and muddy , no Phone or Internet Signal the Staff were Brilliant . The Coach House Inn across the road great food ect , i think it would be a lot better if there was Hardstanding Pitches , plus Phone and Internet on Site . I had a Breakdown on Site my Car wouldn"t start and phoned Landrover Breakdown Services and the fault was that Rodent coulld have been  field mice had eaten my Wiring Harness .

Great location

This is one of our favourite sites. Location is great, nice places to eat and good area for walking and visiting villages & coast. Waldens are very friendly, helpful and keep the site very nice. However, it is frustrating firstly that there are no hardstandings as, when it is very wet, it can be muddy and risky for motorhomes. Secondly that there is no internet. Especially frustrating when the commercial site next door has both!! Otherwise it is our ideal location and we keep coming back (when the weather permits!!).

Ideal

We stayed here for a long weekend and found the site very clean and tidy. The price reflects having to use your vans facilities as there is no toilet/shower block. The pitches are well spaced out and the site felt very spacious however there weren't too many vans on the site at the time. The only down side is that there is no mobile phone reception (EE or 3) and the site charge daily for internet. We would definitely stay here again for a weekend but any longer then the phone reception would become a problem unless you want to be uncontactable. The pub across from the site serve reasonably priced good food and is well worth a visit.
