An excellent site!

This was our fifth visit to this site and it never disappoints! The wardens are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. We were accompanying our two dogs who absolutely love the large dog walking area - my footballing cairn terrier thinks it's doggy heaven! The site is always clean and it's well spaced out so vans are not overlooking each other. There is lots to do in the area and some great pubs and restaurants in Barnard Castle. This is one of our favourite sites and even though the weather was awful this time we still enjoyed it and we look forward to returning. Thank you.

Great wardens

This site is ideally situated and only a short walk to Barnard castle with shops pubs and cafes. Plenty of nice walks along the river. Fish and chips were superb. Very thoughtful and caring wardens following a bump to my head requiring a visit from the paramedics. Many thanks for that. The wardens again came to my rescue when I ran out of gas with no cash, not a problem since gas always runs out at the most inconvenient times. Will return

Idyllic

Another chilled out weekend at one of our closest club sites, close enough to Barnard Castle for a little walk into town after we taking the dog along the river. Visited before and will defo keep visiting

One of our favourites

One of our favourite sites, very relaxing. Near enough to walk into Barnard Castle, plenty of walks of varying distances accessable from the site

weeks away

My wife and I visited this site for a weeks holiday. It's was the first time we had stayed in Northumberland yet alone visited. The wardens are friendly and helpful and the site is very clean and so is the toilet blocks. Barnard Castle town is 10 min walk down the road with lovely views and shops and nice pubs which we had a couple of meals in. The site is visited twice a week by a fish and chip van. There is some road noise and the little walk down road is tricky due to grass being wet and muddy could benefit from a gravel path putting in so not to spoil the countryside.  Would glady visit again

Lovely site

We stayed here for one night on our way down to Yorkshire last week. The site is pretty new so all the facilities were first class, the pitches were very spacious and well laid out we were pitched near the bottom end of the site so heard no noise from the nearby road. The site is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the market town of Barnard castel where we spent the afternoon wandering around the various shops and had a nice pint in one of the pubs. Overall a great site in an excellent location and we hope to return for a longer stay soon.
