Quiet nice place.
Lovely
Second visit this month
We booked 9 nights then 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend and after the 1st stay we did look to see if we could change sites as in our opinion it has gone down hill.Unfortunately every where else was booked up.The toilet block does not get cleaned properly I know people leave it a mess through out the day but it doesn't get a good clean in the morning. The disabled toilet had dust and grime on the handles and in the corners were matted hair and dirt .In the gents there was a moth on the floor in one cubicle that was there for 3 days!!! .I looked in the comments book and all good comments are met with smiliey faces and thank you any negative comments have a sarcastic relpy which is unprofessional. We previously stayed at the Blackshaw moor site at Leek and this site puts Sutton on sea site to shame in matters of cleanliness.
Comment from The Club:
Many thanks for your review. The wardens have been in touch as they were very concerned to read your comments. As I am sure you are aware our wardens work extremely hard (particularly over a hectic bank holiday weekend) to ensure people have the best possible stay at their site. Members are actively encouraged to leave comments in the visitors book when they leave. These comments are read daily by the duty staff and commented on with a polite and professional “thank you” or similar. Some members like to leave smiley faces to show their appreciation which is always welcome. Several times a year a Regional Manager calls at the site and reads through all of the comments and the useful feedback. Occasionally another member will write in the book against a comment left by another member and this is where you would of seen the negative comments. Obviously with the book out on display it is hard to prevent this happening.
As far as the moths are concerned the lights are left on 24 hours a day and this sadly does attract the moths. Windows and doors are left open to allow some fresh air to flow through and it is a constant battle to keep the moths out although our wardens do try their best. The toilets are cleaned thoroughly once a day and obviously it is helpful if members respect the facilities and other members and keep them clean and tidy in between cleaning times sadly, this doesn’t always happen. I hope this helps to address some of your concerns and thanks again for leaving a review
