Nice site

Stayed 3 nights over the August B.H Weekend. A nice site with very friendly, knowledgeable staff. W.C/Shower block a little dated, but hey ho.... they were spotless all weekend, despite a lot of rain.

Another stunning year

We have just completed our sixth stay at the site and as always it was excellent, weather, site and tranquility. Superb walks for the dogs and beautiful beaches, the town is very friendly. The wardens were very friendly and did an excellent job. See you in 2017 same time same place.

Lovely week

We had a lovely week at Sutton on Sea. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. They recommended we visit the Lincs Aviation Hertitage Centre to see the Lancaster and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sutton on Sea is a lovely little town and within walking distance of the site. We only wished we had taken our bikes, we will next time.

Nice Stay at Sutton on Sea

Stayed for 3 nights, with our Granddaughter and Partner and our 3 year old great-grandson, The wardens were lovely and friendly and kept the site clean and tidy. The facilities are a bit dated but were always spotless. The site is a short walk, but a little longer than the 10 mins given by the Wardens, a beautiful beach at Sandilands.lovely surroundings this is definitely one to try! The play area was a little disappointed as there were only climbing frames, no swings or slides but the area was large enough to have these, also the site is very shaded by some very large trees, which are some need of pollarding, so small branches are falling all the time, the time we were there it was very windy, so even more branches we in evidence, so of the pitches are small and only just able to fit awning, but all in all we had a very pleasant stay.

Lovely old-fashioned seaside break!

We had a very relaxing 5 night stay here in early July. The site was very busy and there was not a great deal of choice when it came to pitching. We decided against a couple of pitches backing onto the lane as they were completely in shade due to the many trees and subject to traffic noise. We eventually chose a pitch close to the play area as it was of a reasonable size and in full sun all day! This proved to be a great choice as there were few children on the site and we enjoyed peace and quiet and sunshine for the whole of our stay! The wardens were lovely and friendly and kept the site clean and tidy. The facilities are a bit dated but were always spotless. The site is a short walk from a beautiful dog friendly beach at Sandilands. It is then a lovely, flat walk into Sutton on Sea. This a quaint seaside town with very friendly locals, a small selection of shops and some lovely bars/cafes along the prom. If you want a peaceful break in lovely surroundings this is definitely one to try!

Good site for this area however ......

Wardens are very friendly and do a wonderful job keeping the site and somewhat dated facilities clean and tidy. The site has very large trees which are in desperate need of cutting, some of the pitches are quite shaded. Lots of twig and branches end up dropping on the car roof and bonnet even in a slight breeze ! The children's play area consists of a climbing frame - and nothing else, no swings or slides, our grand-daughter was very disappointed.  The pitches near the roadside are shaded and suffer road noise even during the night !  A few pitches struggle to be large enough to take an awning and I think they should be reclassed as non awning pitches. The better pitches are at the back of the site but be there early these go like hot cakes ! For this area of the east coast it is a nice site but then there's not many to choose from !!

Lovely site

Stayed on this site a few times now, it's always clean & tidy, the wardens are helpful, friendly and help as best they can with any problems you have. Within walking distance to the beach and the town. Well laid out site, children's play area, what more could you ask for? We love it and will be returning next year. Thank you for a lovely weekend xx

Sunny Sutton-On-Sea

We have visited this site now several times over the last 2 years. It is a sheer delight every time. It's quite, clean and within easy walking distance of the nearby beaches. The staff on site should be congratulated, despite being at almost capacity the whole site was immaculate. As can be expected the pitches are all very level, even the grassed ones. plenty of space between pitches with grassed areas surrounding, which leaves plenty of space to BBQ and lounge in the sun. We found the shower block facilities adequate and clean but they could perhaps do with upgrading. If you choose to walk to the beach which is perfect for those with children and dog lovers alike, it takes about 20mins. There are two good places to eat onroute. The Fat seagull, which is open during the lunch period for snacks and excellent hot/cold food. There's also the links, bar come function rooms. Inside you will find a very pleasing environment with friendly and helpful staff, a fantastic menu and good choice of beers. Dogs are also welcome inside. At the back of the building there is a lovely lawned/terraced area when you can eat or simply relax. For those with children there is also a good play area. The food was reasonably priced and excellent, plenty of choice with a daily specials board. On the sea front you can cycle the route along the front to Mablethorpe or simply just wal. Along the way there are numerous places to take a break, grab a snack/drink. On arrival at the site the entrance road is narrow but there are passing places and the locals are more than happy to allow you room to pass. Overall I can't really fault the site and would recommend it to anyone. I don't think you could be disappointed. To those on the site, we will see you again and thanks for a brilliant and very pleasant stay.
