What an improvement have stayed at strathclyde many times before the cc took over. What can I say 5 star transformation. Fabulous site now facilities superb wardens friendly. Only issue is the road noise but that's not going to change so accept it and enjoy the convenience so this excellent site.
Handy stop off
We stopped to break up a long journey. We were there for one night only. Clean facilitiies and friendly wardens. Son enjoyed the play area. Great being able to choose your own pitch. All very neat and orderly. Next to M8 which makes it handy but there is road noise so may not suit those seeking quiet retreat. Opposite site is a caravan storage area which is in full view of the tent area, may not be thought of as a nice view for those in tents or the pods. Noticed there is a daily bus into Glasgow - handy. Great dog walk, most welcome. Overall though, happy to use again as stop off.

Short stop over on our way north.
We stopped for one night here as we were heading up further into Scotland. We cycled across the road into a park that was lovely, didn't have time to explore much more.
Caravan site is excellent, lovely and clean but the motorway is quite close and is currently undergoing major work which was quite noisy. Hopefully when this is finished the site will return to being a lovely quite place to stay.
Will visit again
Great site stopped nearly two weeks before going north. Wardens really nice, helpful and very welcoming. The cleanliness is a credit to the wardens. Very clean and very well kept. We will be back. Thank you.
The Kennedys
After a long journey we were pleased when we got to the site the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The site was very clean and tidy a really nice stay thank you we will be back with the grandchildren
Strathclyde review
Spacious site with excellent onsite facilities. Helpful friendly staff. Ideal for families with children with the country park on its doorstep. Very noisy when we were there, last week in July 2015 due to the ongoing construction/road works which I understand are to continue for another 18 months.
Overall a good site with excellent facilities just a pity about the road works which went on 24 / 7.

Strathclyde review
This caravan club site is absolutely immaculate thanks to the hard working and extremely friendly and helpful wardens . The location is spot on but at present major road works are ongoing making it noisy and traffic delays when travelling however that didn't dampen our impression. What did surprise and concern us was the large amounts of gypsie travellers on this site who were obviously conducting there business from this site and weren't too bothered about being discreet. This really wasn't appealing or comfortable for us and for that reason would not recommend it to our friends
Easy access to Glasgow
Used this site on the way up to and back from Skye. Although it is very close to main roads noise was not an issue during our stop-over. As a previous reviewer has said navigating the complex roundabout during extensive road works is tricky. The site was busy but everything was fine. Toilets and clean and despite being busy there was no problem in terms of having to wait for a shower. Wardens informative and friendly. The site is next to Strathclyde County Park - good for a pleasant walk or cycle after a long drive. The Toby Carvery which is five minutes from the site was doing good business. Would definitely use the site again.
Mop for Laundry Room!
Site was clean and tidy. Could have done with a mop to be able to tidy up wet patches and drips in laundry room. There's a play area for children, although there weren't many children at time of our visit. The weather this 'Summer' has been wet, wet and more wet, but still wardens managed to keep facilities clean, they couldn't cut the grass as tractor mower was too heavy and sunk in the ground. Unfortunately currently there's a lot of road works just outside the site on the main roads and signage wasn't great for getting into the site area. This isn't any failure on the club's part, but a warning to have your wits about you getting into the place. Site is very handy for visiting Glasgow and surrounding area and site's information area had a good stock of leaflets. We'd use it again for coming up to Scotland. We found all the Wardens , male and female very helpful and informative.

Rules are rules!
Warmly welcomed by female warden and again next morning by other female warden. Sadly not so by the male warden who when walking past our caravan when we were outside enjoying the rare summer sun to be SPOKEN AT! 'put your dogs on a lead sir... Club rules " our 2 exceptionally well behaved labradors were sitting beside us. Nit a hello, not an eye contact...... If wardens paid as much attention to speeding vehicles or owners who left dogs in caravan or motorhome to bark continuously? Spent 15 nights at a site south of the border and all wardens stopped to chat, to pat dogs and to smile. Shame on the warden here that put a big cloud on my otherwise sunny weekend. A smile and kind word costs nothing
