This was our second visit to Strathclyde park and will be returning again. Site wardens very helpful and made very welcome as new to caravaning. We took the grand kids with us this time and managed to get a pitch next to the play area where the kids had great fun and made a lot of friends. On the Sat we went to m&d theme park which is jus a 15 min walk from the site.
The site is spotless and well looked after and the toilets are first class.
Excellent site and excellent wardens well pleased and will be back again.
A good week here
We went to this Site because we were visiting relatives in Paisley so great location for this. Road works at Motorway roundabout a bit confusing but OK. Yes, traffic noise but not too bad. Good welcome and help from office. Site still new and will improve as the shrubbery etc mature. Excellent facilities as always. Felt pitches were a bit short for long outfits but managed to find one OK. Will certainly return mainly due to location. If you want to taste Scotland a bit more can thoroughly recommend Carr's Hill CL 25 miles further north.
Great site shame about the roadworks just now
We stayed in Strathclyde as a halfway stop (as we have done in the past), it's easy to get to and in the Country Park. M and D's theme park is a good 15 minute walk away/3 min drive. The warden was very friendly and helpful on arrival.
Maybe we hit it at an unfortuneate time but there were roadworks at the edge of the main road in and they started at 10pm and continued through the night. At one point the caravan was rattling. Luckily we were only there one night and we did manage to sleep and the kids slept through it but you may want to check if the work is on going if staying for longer.
The site is clean and open. Depending where you pitch it can be a bit of a walk to the toilet block/play park. I would stay again but check the roadworks were finished.
Great stopover
OK its noisy but being next to the motorway means you are on your way 5 mins from leaving your pitch! The facilities were great, the wardens were friendly and helpful and the dog walking superb. Walked round the lake followed up with a meal at the steakhouse next door. Excellent!

Short stay
Great location for getting out and about to places. Site nicely laid out with clean facilities (quite crowded in the shower block during our stay). Traffic noisy from adjacent roads/motorway. Would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant stay
Good location for M and D's theme park so the kids loved it. There was also an excellent carvers nearby, Toby's which we used as well. Facilities were clean and the staff very helpful. Our youngest enjoyed the treasure hunt.

Immaculate Site
We stayed here over winter to test new caravan & is a very clean, well kept site with nice wardens. Can't fault it, its a great stop over site or for visiting things to see & do in Glasgow. Nice little park for kids. Would stay here again.
Great Stop over to the Highlands
This is a typical Caravan Club site regarding the nicely manicured surroundings with large hardstandings and neatly cut grass, it has immaculate toilet & shower facilities with piped music ! However the main difference from a lot of other Caravan Club sites is that this place has very friendly sensible down to earth site wardens ! what a nice change from the normal Gestapo jobs worth's that dominate Caravan Club sites ! The site its self is very well situated as its 3 minutes off the motorway and a great stop over for us English on the way to the Highlands ! Outside the site turning left will take you on a walk though lovely parkland on to a large lake and Scotlands Premier M&D's Theme park (the Alton Towers of Scotland!) Turning right takes you to a Toby Carvery that served a great roast and had real ales ! can't go wrong with this one ! (I would say the only minor gripe is that you can hear the traffic on the nearby motorway but its not overpowering) we will definitely use it again
It is what it is...
It is what it is. An urban site ideal for a city break or an over-night stop. In our case it was to see AC/DC at Hampden Park! You don't hear the road noise after a while, and it certainly didn't wake me up in the morning. On that level, can't fault it. Facilities first class, and wardens do a good job of cleaning them, but a pity a minority of members have little respect for maintaining the standards...
Great stop over
We booked this site as a stop over travelling from Cornwall to Oban. We had a lovely friendly welcome.
The staff are lovely and the site to the normal Caravan Club tidiness and cleanliness. We were expecting some noise but to be honest it wasn't that bad. We slept fine and headed off as planned in the morning.
