First Class Site

Stayed here for one night after driving from the Highlands en route to Dorset. This site is spotless and well looked after. Position is great for access to the Strathclyde Park area. Only little downside was the road works right beside the site which made access and egress a little difficult but certainly would not prevent us from returning.

spent three nights at this site, adjacent road works make it difficult to access as road layout changes every day, once in, excellent location ,friendly staff, very clean site, road noise not a problem, will definitely return in the foreseeable future

Another Great Weekend

We have just returned from a great weekend here. The site is excellent and has really matured now with most of the grass, trees and flowers grown in now. The facilites are excellent and the wardens are very friendly. The location is great right next to the park where theere is miles of cycling and walking routes. Also next door is the theme park which is great for families. The site in close to Glasgow where there are plenty of things to do and see. The road noise is not too bad and certainly doesn't bother is. Overall a great site that is fast becoming one of our favourites.

Retired couple

Very welcoming and helpful wardens; great for day trips to Glasgow; noise from road can be ignored; very easy access except for the motorway roundabout which will presumably be finished eventually

Good campsite

The campsite was perfect for our trip and close to our home town. The only thing letting it down is the noise from the road and the road works going on .

Excellent Site

Stayed here 3 times now due to it being only 30 mins from where we stay, so very handy. It's a nice clean and very well run site, the wardens are very helpful and accommodating. Good for families due to being right next to Strathclyde Park, M&D's theme park, and also Toby Carvery for food. The roadworks at the entrance to Strathclyde Park are fine as long as you don't hit them at peak times. They are a necessary evil unfortunately, which will make access to the park much easier when they are finished, so are well worth the wait.

Very Good Site

We have stayed here a few times and it is always very clean and tidy,  the only reason for not getting maximum rating is the noise of the traffic which is worse at the moment due to the major roadworks ( August 2015) .  We still recommend this site without reservation for those who like us soon get used to it.
