We have been caravanning for many years and only just discovered Southport Caravan Site. The site is large but incredibly peaceful. The facilities are the cleanest we have ever come across and lovely and warm in winter. The location is perfect for being able to walk into Southport and there is a supermarket very close by. The site is also very handy for visiting places like Liverpool. The only downside is I purchased Wifi and then could not get a signal for the entire time I had it, so be wary of the signal strength before purchasing. Perfect site for families, will be visiting again very soon.
Second visit
It's been a few years since we were last at this site. Our recent visit proved very interesting. Staff very friendly. Town really nearby with plenty to do. Will be back soon
We Keep Returning
This our 5th visit in the last 12 months we can't say enough about the Southport site it's Spotlastly clean it's handy to travel to various places on public transport or the train there all in walking distance, then there's the town it's self, plenty of shops and if you like a tipple theirs plenty of pubs,we like to visit just to unwind its only 40mins from where we live so we will be back. The only downside this year is the wardens weren't very sociable perhaps they are due a Holiday?
Our annual pilgrimage.
We have been visiting Southport every year since 1991. Mostly the Club Site when we could gain availability. Now with the new extended site it's much easier to obtain a pitch. We visited at half term, busy but being a senior couple not a problem. Excellently clean and tidy and with the newly refurbished and rebuilt shower block the stay was all we needed. Super!
Well Done
A few years since I have been to this site, really impressed with the work that has been done with the new extension, and the refurbishment of the old toilet block. On the negative side a little concerned that a second public footpath rus through the site leaving it open to theft. A little more thought could have been given to a path to the rear of the new toilet block, quite a treck for some, and possibly sensor lights over the toilet entrance doors so you could at least eye where you were putting you key, apart from this a lovely site, but the staff are a little straight faced, not the usual jolly couple who used to be here !!

Excellent Site pity about the WiFi
This site is extremely nice and will definitely be back. It's location is good near the town, facilities are clean, and the amount of things to do in the area makes it a good site. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the pathetic excuse for WiFi supplied by the Club. I came paying for this pathetic service on every visit to a club site and end up using my phones connection instead. They really need to sort WIFI out or stop supplying such a pathetic service. Just normal websites take an age to load up, we are not talking heavy usage sites like Facebook. That's 2 separate sites in 1 week and what a waste of money that was.
Best site we have been to
Just want to say what a great site southport is the staff are really friendly and the site is great and handy for the town the shower block at both ends of the site are spotless back again soon for the fireworks display in November

Southport lots of sand, the sea is a long way out...
Most enjoyable stay on a lovely quiet (in early October anyway) site. The town and a large supermarket only 10 minutes walk away.
There are lots of things to do : the Atkinson gallery and museum are excellent, Rotten Row on the town side of the site has a superb flower border that must stretch half a mile, The Phoenix pub has draught bitter for £2 a pint and The Fishermen's Rest has a lot of history and excellent food on Weld Rd just around the corner South of the site. The sea was a long way out every time I looked, but the sands are superb. If youwant to venture further South visit Formby point a National Trust reserve with red squirrels and, as featured in the club magazine this month, Sir Antony Gormley's " Another Place is further towards Liverpool at Crosby.
The best way to visit Liverpool is on the train from Birkdale station £4.90 day return. Liverpool though has enough things to see and do to go every day for a week. Enjoy.

Autumn in Southport
Again another visit to Southport the second this year. The site is immaculate as it always is, the wardens work very hard to keep it this way.
Autumn Jaunt
Very clean and tidy site well run by the helpful staff, Southport is a great place to visit with quirky shops and arcades, the Victorian covered walkway on Lord street makes it easy to wander round the shops on rainy days and there are a good number of inviting pubs to "rest in" after a hard day following my wife around said shops. We will certainly be back to this site in the future.
