Yet again a great time
we haven't been caravanning long but this is our 4th visit to Southport, always a lovely clean site and helpful staff, Southport is a lovely place to visit, needless to say there will be a 5th.

First time visitor
We have never been to Southport before and fell in love with the place. The site is first class, roomy emplacements, a friendly welcome, information available, immaculate toilet block and access to public transport nearby. This has something for everyone, easy walk to town centre either along the road lined with flower beds or through the park. I cannot recommend this site highly enough and we will use it regularly.
4 day stay
Just returned from a four night stay at Southport our third visit here. As usual you cannot fault the site and the helpful wardens. We telephoned on the morning of our arrival and they were happy to reserve a pitch near the toilet block in the old section. The refurb of the facilities is excellent and as always they were spotless. The park and ride is up and running again if you want to pay for a bus into town but it's only a 15 minute walk through Victoria Park past Morrisons Supermarket. There's something for everyone in Southport, ideal for families with children or just to chill and walk the dog. If you've never been give it a go, you will not be dissapointed.
Another Good Break
We have been visiting the site regularly since 1998 and it has not only maintained but improved its standards, the refurbishment is now complete and the toilet blocks are to the latest standard especially the more spacious showers. The site is close to the town centre, excellent for families and dog owners with flat walking with lots to see and do. For the more adventurous Formby and Crosby (the statues in the sea) is a short drive or train journey away. We shall certainly be returning in the near future.
Great choice
This was our first caravan adventure and we were so glad we chose this site. Spotlessly clean, very handy for the town centre. The cleanliness of the showers/toilets was superb - all credit to the staff.
Easy to find and get set up, will no doubt be back again

Lovely site. the only complaint is that they do not offer the sale of newspapers.

Clean and easy access
This site is close to the centre and the pleasure beach. Clean toilets and showers, site well maintained. More water points would be an improvement here. Other than that everything was good.
First time visit
The standards being set by the Wardens throughout the site is amazingly high. The cleanliness of the sanitation block is exceptional.
The only downside is the lack of nearby catering facilities, and that is not the Clubs' fault, just me being picky.
Few days away
We expected better from reading reviews.Old area tatty trees bushes etc.new area cramped and exposed.seemed to have purchased a lot of planks of wood !!
Water at sinks could be hotter.some lights went out while Hubby shaving in cubicle.Annoying you can't use park and ride even if you want to pay.Not worth a return visit.
Brilliant site
Just returned from a three night stay at this fantastic site.
The extended area is spacious with large pitches and a new shower block which is not closed for cleaning until 2.30pm which gives ample time to use it.
The site is conveniently placed to walk into Southport and if you take the exit from the site from the footpath that leads to Rotten Row you will find a very pleasant walk along a flower lined road.
The cycling is excellent and the recommended route from the site is a superb 22 mile ride through pleasant countryside on safe tracks with sections on quiet roads so bring your bikes!
Friendly helpful wardens and the usual Caravan Club standards.
Great site,we shall certainly be back.
