Clean and tidy, great location

This is the first club site we've stayed on and we loved it. The shower block is spotless and the whole site is nice and tidy. It is ideal for cycling in to Southport on a nice day; we had horrid winter weather though! There is a kid's park behind the site and a short walk to the dunes.

Excellent - Very Clean. Very Convenient

What a great site. So very convenient for Stockport and easy to find. Staff were lovely and had no problem with us leaving late on our departure day. The facilities are immaculate and there are so many nice touches. Never experienced such cleanliness. We walked into Stockport and had a stroll through the site straight into the dunes. We were on the NW (Esplanade) side and it was great. Over the other side closer to Rotten Row there did seem a lot of road noise at times. There's a lovely park next to the site and our children loved the playground. The expanded side of the site (southern side) doesn't have much character at yet but I notice many trees have been planted. We will definitely be back. Great experience.

Dissapointed

Why does the  Caravan Club information offer Daily News Papers for sale, only to find when you get there they do not sell them. usual excuse..."cant get shop to deliver".( This is not the only site) As we had no reason to visit the Shop. other than to buy a Paper, we had very little contact with the Site Staff. On the plus side, we had a Serviced Pitch which was Flat and services to hand. Toilet & Shower facilities excellent. Television and 'Phone signals, no problem. I'm a morning paper Man, and this was disappointing to me.

Let's it'self down

Really clean well maintained site, Helpful staff, TV and Phone service none existent. With the position of the site being so close to a major seaside resort it should not have this problem. Everything else A1.

Great site

Stayed here last week for the 2nd time. Site easy to find, well laid out with large pitches. Toilets and showers clean and whole site well maintained. We always have our 2 dogs with us so good for them with lots of walks nearby. A good pub only 5 mins walk away.

One of the best

This is one of the best sites we have stayed at, exceptionally clean, well laid out, brilliant access to prom and a gorgeous park is close by.  Great access into the town and a supermarket a few minutes away.  We found the wardens very friendly and despite the shocking weather never stopped working outside to keep the site clean and tidy.  The fireworks on Saturday were spectacular, despite really bad weather we had a smashing time and have booked to go back, can't fault this site.

Great stay at Southport Caravan Site

Just had 5 nights here, lots of rain but we still enjoyed it. The wardens are friendly and helpful, toilet block warm and clean.10 mins walk into Southport with lots if shops and place's to eat. We enjoyed the Geulder Rose pub near the pier. Fireworks on Victoria Park were spectacular. We will be back, the icing on the cake would be sunny weather, but can't expect that in November.

Exceptional Site

This is probably our favourite club site. We find the Wardens friendly, the site is kept clean and the location is central to everything we wish to do in the area. All the facilities available are well documented in the club literature and nearby attractions are too numerous to list here.  We tend to travel from the north to the site and find that if you stay on  the M6 until jct 26, then take M58 route down through Formby past Tesco and RAF Base it is an easier route than coming off earlier through Leyland and the taking the rocky road by the coast. Glad to hear they are now open all year round.  One thing different to the literature is that thereally is no late arrivals area any more. However the wardens will allow you on site up till 8pm so you should be able to get pitched OK.  One thing that amazes me is the comments book where members criticise the wardens for having the toilet block closed for cleaning. If it takes longer than advertised it is probably because someone has left a mess which needs sorting out. Shock Horror if you are that desperate you could even use the facilities on your van.  Can't wait to go back soon.
