I have stayed at this site several times because its location is very close to what Southport has to offer, with the beach, town centre, fun fair, restaurants etc. all being within a 10 / 15 minute walk from the site.
One other point is that the cleanliness of this site and its facilities is exceptional, other club sites I have stayed at have all been very good but Southport is by far the best.
Best site around
Me, my wife and parents use Southport as our last holiday of the season, its perfect my dad being disabled can get around easily on his scooter, we just park the cars up for the weekend and walk into Southport, I have a choice of either the lovely park behind the site to walk the dog or have a trek through the sand dunes or on the beach with her.
Facilities are one of the best I have Experienced and even more so now it has all been renewed and extended and lovely wardens, this site is always one of the busy ones...definitely for good reason
Great all round site
This site has everything you would want. Peace and quiet or all the noise of the fair and shops. Whichever you prefer. you are in walking distance of the beach, park, lakes, fairground, shops and eating places. The only thing that we were not happy about is the toilet cleaning times being 10.15 - 12.00. It is about the time that people need them and as we were situated right by the amenity block we noticed a lot of people being turned away by the cleaning barrier. It would make more sense for them to be cleaned in the afternoon when most people have gone out for the day. Otherwise a fantastic site with the majority of wardens here being friendly and helpful.

Great site
This is a great well run friendly site even on a wet and windy night. It is with in walking distance of the town centre, the beach and the amusements. There is a very pleasant park adjacent to the site. Site amenities were spotless. I know in season you would have to book well in advance, but worth it.
Winter bolt hole.
The site is very well run and maintained by friendly staff. It is the perfect site for families situated a stones throw from the beach and a short walk to the amusement centre and pier, also for the ladies who like to do a bit of retail therapy it's a short walk to the main shopping area. Great for dogs who can either go onto the beach or a stroll around park behind the site.
Southport Caravan Club
In my experience of CC sites the facilities are always spot on. What does really make the difference is the friendliness and approach of the people who welcome you and work there; on my visit the staff were great........not at all stuffy like some sites. Thumbs up.

Good stay even though the weather was very bad, high winds and heavy rain

First CC Site
Southport was our first CC site after going and if the rest are as good we will be very happy.
Very clean, warm well designed toilet/block.
Extremely neat and we'll kept pitches.
Friendly helpful staff.
Handy location. Nice walks through Victoria park to Morrisons, swimming pool,Lords street shopping and beach.
Few improvents
Pitches near 57 aren't level.
Signage to site poor.
Shop on site didn't have essentials such as bread, milk etc.
Might be nice to have a place to socialise and a cup of tea/coffee . Perhaps a few benches in the information room and a vending machine for drinks and snacks. Especially as the site is now open all year.
We look forward to going back soon and checking out our next CC site, wished we'd joined years ago
Beautiful seaside site
This was our first visit to Southport Club site and we were extremely impressed with the whole site. The facilities were kept spotlessly clean and the wardens were working very hard during very difficult weather conditions to keep the site tidy and clear of debris during very windy weather. Access to the town across a beautiful park made the walk very pleasant, and there was also access to the dunes, a nature walk and the beach! A great site, lovely wardens and great facilities. A small amount of road noise can be expected as the site has roads on 3 sides, but due to the banks and dunes this is not noticeable when you are inside your van. Highly recommended
Out of season visit -take a good book?
Just came back from Southport on the 26th November having spent 4 days there. At no time could we get on the internet. The answer from the wardens was "not our problem take it up with Airangel". As our stay was a short one I did not take any further, but for those of you heading for Southport, you will have a good time. It's a great place. But don't go expecting to enhance your visit by surfing the net you will be disappointed. We pitched on peg 75 which is on the old part parallel to the access road if that helps!
As regards the WiFi the CC has got to get its act sorted!
