Rude staff!

A lone lady traveller with two dogs After arriving early and being made to reverse back out into the road to wait, I mentioned (as it was a hot day) that I had two dogs in the car. I was told .. That's up to you! Fast forward, 1st night, pitch all set up and no bother.  Next day a friend joined me. We paid for her and her car, and was told as long as it remained within the pitch to leave it. That evening a very rude man pulled up, and told us to move the wind break as it was a fire hazard, (it had to be moved 8") ! Next day, whilst asleep, another very rude man banged on my window and told us my friends car had to be moved. He later returned to apologise as his information was wrong and he hadn't been updated!!! We packed up and came home early. Never again. Not one peaceful day, just jobsworth, rude staff!! And a ruined holiday.

Lovely site but lots of loud music on Saturday night

Stayed recently in July and we too were disturbed by the loud music from the adjoining park. We could accept it until 11pm but by nearly 1am we had had enough. Hopefully it was a rare event and we will go back. So nice to have a site where you can walk to so many attractions, restaurants and transport services.

Noisey music.

Stayed at this site 2nd July to 16th July 2016 both weekends very loud disco music in park behind us it was so loud the sides of my caravan were vibrating, this went on until 1230 am totally unacceptable! One of the reasons I go to club sites is peace and quite and no clubs on site I'm afraid this put a damper on my holiday. I think the time to clean the toilets is excessive and the fact male & female toilets are both closed doesn't help, this means both women & men queuing at the service toilet, not Ideal

Wardens let this site down.

We have just been to this site for the weekend, we were running late in traffic our sat nav said that we would arrive around 7pm, so I called ahead and get a very grumpy "why are you bothering me with stupid questions" Lady warden, who told me that I have until 8pm if your late then you won't be allowed on. We got there at around 7.10pm and as I walked in there was a male warden who said good evening Mr Rhodes, I thought WOW that's amazing to be greeted so personally. But then it all disappeared when the female warden took over, there are only 3 pitches left, we are very busy can you pick what pitch you want and come back as quickly as possible I want to close up..... ok lets put this into perspective, nobody died and obviously she was having a bad day, so we picked a pitch and I sent the wife and kids to inform the warden of our pitch. we then enjoyed our weekend by the sea, On the Sunday morning we packed up and set off at approx. 11.30am, we were stuck in a queue of people backing their cars onto their pitches to hook up, we were in no rush so we waited, this turned into around 5 people and half and hour so my wife said that she would drop the key off while I was stuck in the traffic, My wife came back and said she has just had a very stern talking to by the female warden and was told that we would be banned if we did it again!!! Southport is a fantastic place to take the family and the site is very clean, tidy and quiet, but the wardens let the whole experience down.... Poor show Southport..............

Speeding

All the other reviews are accurate, however many members do not understand the 5mph rule.it means 1st gear only.  Nobody is impressed with cars being driven at excessive speed. Will the staff please keep up their good work at running an excellent site. Alma and Mike

Watership Down

A very busy site, well located and well organised. It needed to be as people were queing to get in. Lots of rabbits which the kids loved. All positive really. The only negative was the poor internet connectivity.  Top tip, there is a coverage map in the office, check it before you select a pitch.

Weekend in Southport

This was our first visit to Southport and we enjoyed the weekend. The site was lovely. Clean and tidy. Showers, toilets, washing up area all excellent. Within walking distance of the lovely town, supermarket and other entertainments. If we visit Southport again we would definitely stay on this site.

Short Break in July 2016

We found this club site absolutely excellent.  It is only yards from a sandy beach and only half a mile or so from the Pier, Cinemas, food complex (Frankie and Benny's, Nando's etc.), amusement arcades and is the same distance to the main shopping street and museums.  It is near the Funland for the kids and Splash World, yet it is extremely quiet.  And within about 200 yards from the entrance is an Eco Centre which provides park and ride, so really easy bus travel into town and beyond if required.   The site is excellently clean and well looked after and managed.  We have a camper van and for us who don't always want to drive into places of interest, is one of the few sites we know of where all amenities are literally within walking distance. Over years of visiting Southport, it appears to be improving and so we will certainly be staying here again.  Actually, I am not sure why I am giving this site such a good appraisal as it may become too popular!!!  Best keep it a secret I think :-)
