Disgusted !
Having visited this site many times before - this year has been an all time low! The first thing I should like to say is that I find the wardens excellent and courteous - have had no problems ever with them.
Problems with site - there does not seem to be any supervision on site by parents which is covered under club rules. Children cycling, skating round the park in large groups continuously from 4 pm shouting and screaming in groups. Having spoken to many other caravanners on site they are also disgusted by the noise of these children who are left to run continually round the site. Teenagers skateboarding at speed. My husband and I have nearly been knocked over by bikes and we witnessed a lady in a disabled scooter having to stop quickly to avoid a bike. Also these children are not following the one way system and cars have to regularly stop for them.
The one way system is not being observed by all cars and the speed limit is regularly being abused excessively. As a suggestion and I know the wardens work very hard but I should like to see some kind of 'policing' of the site during the evening - even a walkaround every hour. I understand the long hours the wardens work but build this in to their day -Caravan Club or pay them to do this! Although we are dog friendly we also watch dog owners using pitch grass areas to allow their dogs to do the loo when there is a large park next door, also beach areas and plenty of dog walking areas. They also allow their dogs to piddle on the roads through the park. Unfortunately we are cutting our holiday short due to this and have spoken to others doing the same. Also we have spoken to club members who will not be returning due to the noise!
