What a great experience and will do this again

We came to the site to enable are sons to ride in a two day Moto trials event , so bought a caravan and booked the site with little or no expectation. on arrival the site looks impressive and well maintained but that's just the start the whole process and atmosphere is second to none, you are made to feel relaxed and special by the warden from the get go , and nothing is to much trouble so that your stay is as blissful as can be. the club site is immaculate and the facilities are excellent , we enjoyed the whole thing so much we are now looking at booking other sites as a getaway. thank you too all the staff you do a fantastic job.

One of, if not the best club site in the network

We stayed here in mid late April for the 5 day break and thoroughly enjoyed the site which is beautifully kept by the wardens to a high standard of cleanliness and finish. The site is conveniently positioned to visit all areas of the island, is quiet and very attractively landscaped with flowering trees and hedges to cut up the site and give privacy. The Pointer Inn nearby is award winning and serves superb food, i.e. not just pub grub, at quite reasonabe prices. Highly recommend this site which must be one of the best club sites in the whole country.

A Hidden Gem

Southlands is a beautiful, well-kept site with a choice of pitches to suit all tastes. Much of the site is grassed, and neat hedges create enclaves for smaller groups of vans. There is also a more open area with hard-standing pitches. At one end of the site, a gateway provides a short-cut to the village of Newchurch which is home to the famous Isle of Wight Garlic Farm. The Sandown to Newport cycle path also runs through the village offering miles of traffic free routes. The Pointer Inn in the village is one of the best on the island and has a fantastic garden area at the back (which in turn, leads into a nature reserve). The menu at the Pointer will satisfy any foody and with the pub's barter system, you might even find yourself rubbing shoulders at the bar with the local who grew the veg.

A jewel in CAMC's crown!

Just returned from a week spent at this site and what a fantastic week it was. We arrived to a very warm welcome from the staff and given a wide choice of pitches to chose from. The pitches are level, well spaced and, as others have mentioned, the site is segregated by mature hedging making it feel more intimate than the sites size would suggest. The site itself is immaculate in every aspect. There is a fantastic kids play area and a dog exercise area. We have stayed at many other club sites, which were also very good, but this one really stands out for us - we will certainly return!

Excellent well maintained site

Stayed here for seven nights over Easter the site was spotless and well maintained with excellent facilities. The hedges around pitch areas gave you some privacy which was good. The local inn in the village was excellent the food was brilliant and the service was faultless. Will visit again in the near future.

Isle of Wight Delight

Lovely spacious site within easy reach of the Islands attractions. Kept beautifully clean by the wardens and the trees, shrubs maintained to an excellent level. Lot's of individual 5/6 van areas giving good seperation across the site making it feel quieter then it was. Excellent pub (Pointer Inn) just a 10 min walk away. But do book as on both occasions we went for an early dinner the pub was fully booked, good job we had booked as wel. Brilliant deal with the caravan club on the joint site and ferry, making it cheaper to but both than just the ferry alone.

Lovely site

Our second stay at this site and just as enjoyable as the first. We were walking the IOW coastal path and found it easy to catch a bus to our starting point each day from Amazon World, just 10 minutes walk from from the site. Wardens helpfully provided a bus timetable. Toilet blocks were immaculately clean, as we usually find on CC sites, and we really like how the site is divided into smaller areas by hedges, which also give shelter from the wind. The Pointer Inn is a great pub with excellent food and pleasant service, but it is always busy so book early if you want to eat there.

Site in lovely countryside

Normally we stay on CLs but as it was early season decided to stay on this club site. Not disappointed as barely one fifth full. We'll maintained, clean and centrally situated towards the east end of the island. Possibly the best feature of the site is the most friendly and helpful staff! Excellent facilities including a play area. Make sure you book (early) to eat in The Pointer Inn in Newchurch, an award winning pub.

Do not know why this is a peaceful quiet site according to there site details, noisy Airplanes going over all afternoon, kids running around screaming and playing football and tennis, Its a fantastic site great staff very clean highly recommend, but the noise, wow, Perhaps we pitched in the wrong place,,, don't lets this put you off, just my thoughts,
