Spent 6 nights at Southland, loved every second of our visit. Will definitely return.
Staff extremely welcoming and so helpful. Site was very well maintained and facilities were spotless.
Plenty to do, Red Squirrel Trail was brilliant for walks and cycling..
Cant wait to return 100%
perfect
Usually prefer the informality of CLs but used this site during a visit with my two young grandchildren as it offered a good deal with the ferry. Most of the other caravans were on the hard standing area, presumably because it was October and they expected rain so we opted for grass pitch n.o,37. (If i wanted to be on top of my neighbours i could have stayed at home!) Fantastic pitch, very quiet, sun rising and setting in perfect place to keep caravan warm and not put us in any dark shadows, close enough to brilliant play area which sits down a slight hill behind bushes so even if there had been noisy children playing they wouldn't have bothered anybody. Very friendly staff, we will definitely come again. Spot on.

Can't wait to return
We spent a lovely weekend at Southlands, from the moment I booked over the phone to arrival at the site we were met with warm friendly staff.
Beaches & walks are just a short drive away but we made the most of visiting Compton Bay & Totland on the other side but still nothing is that far away - such a pleasure to drive on the island beautiful views and quaint villages everywhere.
The site is beautifully maintained & services spotless. We shall be returning on our next outing as still so much to see & do.
4TH STAY. STILL ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE SITES ANYWHERE
LOVELY CLEAN WE'LL MAINTAINED SITE. PLENTY OF SPACE BETWEEN PITCHES. STAFF ARE ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. SHAME THE FERRY COSTS ARE SO DEAR AS HAVING SPOKEN TO OTHERS ON SITE WE ALL AGREE THAT IF IT WAS MORE REASONABLE TO GET THERE WE WOULS ALL GO MORE OFTEN. NOT THE CARAVAN CLUBS FAULT THOUGH. I PERSONALLY DON'T THINK YOU'LL FIND A NICER SITE. THANK YOU TO THE STAFF FOR SUCH A BRILLIANT TIME

S much to see. so little time
Site divided up into sections so some nice private sections. Bembridge has everything you need - Fishmonger, butcher, and baker, plus pubs and supermarket. We went to the Crab and Lobster for a lovely seafood platter and The Best Dressed Crab to eat and collect dressed crab for tea later. The Waterfront in Totland is dog friendly inside and out and has great views and fabulous food. So many places to visit, so many we didn’t manage, but the Donkey Sanitary is close by, dog friendly and a must to put some money in their donation boxes. Steephill Cove - you have to pay £5 to park at the Botanical Gardens and walk to but out of season there was only one cafe open - season is May to September. Pointer Inn has some delicious food and dog friendly. Wifi worked all the time. For the biggest Mr Whippy 99 ice cream on the island go to the amusements in Shanklin, was less then £2 too, they were ridiculous but obviously we forced it all down! (It was a rainy day though so maybe they were bored and just giving out huge amounts of ice cream as there was no on around). Vernon Cottage in Shanklin had fabulous salads and the fish pie at the Spyglass Inn in Ventnor had the most fish in a fish pie ever. So much to do so little time, will return. (Donkeys and horses can be seen on site too). We tend to eat our way around the places we stay and try to shop local for food we made in the caravan.
Best Club Site
Back again this year as we were so impressed last year, did not disappoint. Arrived again in brilliant sunshine to a wonderful welcome from the very friendly warden team. (Unfortunately we hit the busy arrival time of midday with so many of us on the same ferry from Portsmouth, didn't upset the wardens but it should have as members do need to make sure that the DRIVER STAYS WITH HIS VEHICLE allowing everyone to move up and not block the road outside the site. Not sure why any driver wants to rush with his other half to arrange their check-in!) The site is immaculate so many will have difficultly in choosing their pitch. The grass pitches have so many pretty glades with fairly high hedges making them very protected from the wind, whereas the hardstanding area is more open and can be very windy but necessary when you have a heavy motorhome with trailer and small car. The toilet blocks are immaculate in fact the whole site is, the wardens are always busy doing something and it shows. There is nothing you can fault. There is so much to do on the Island, one of the reasons for the return. There are two pubs near the site, turn left and down to the Pointer Inn, or turn right, right again and follow road down to main road, right again and on the left just a few yards further on The Fighting Cocks both do Sunday Lunches very reasonably priced, well worth a visit to either on any day. Also Fish and Chips on site Wednesdays and Saturdays. We love the Isle of Wight after just two visits can't wait to come back. Just love how friendly everyone is particularly other drivers on the Island. Can't wait to come back.
Can't fault it
We spent a week here. It is undoubtedly one of the best sites with the club system and extremely well run. We always go out of school holidays so can't comment on how noisy it is during the holidays but clearly it caters for children. The facilities are excellent, clean and there seem to be more showers than normal- perhaps because it can get busy in high summer. The dog walk is good and there is access to public footpaths. We will be back.

Maybe my favourite CC Club Site so far!
Beautiful site, very well maintained, spacious flat pitches. Great staff, great shower block, great dog walk, in fact great everything.
I wish it were closer to home, I'd be a regular visitor.
Lovely Campsite
Having just returned from an impromptu stay at Southland, we wanted to state how lovely the site and the wardens were.
The pitches were incredibly level and despite it raining whilst on the pitch, the grass remained firm.
The toilet blocks were kept incredibly clean and tidy, despite the rain and the number of people onthe site.
The site is close to local attractions and two pubs, both can be reached on foot (although a steep-ish hill to climb back from one!).
Super Southland
Just returned from a week staying at Southland what a lovely site so clean and well maintained stayed on a service pitch one of only six at this site, we had a great week on the island and will most certainly be back. Well done the warden team for all your hard work.
