We really enjoyed our three days. close enough to Cromer to be able to walk there. Lovely and clean. Great showers. nice meals and friendly staff. just a pity you couldnt order the weather for us as well.

bit nit picky

we have just spent 5 nights at this site and whilst the site is spotless there were quite a few pitches that really could have done with being left to rejuvenate. I noticed a couple of incidents where people were complaining about a pitch that they had been told was available but was in very poor condition the response from staff was well that's all there is if you don't like it move on or be barred. Another incident involved the chap next to us who had difficulty walking so had to drive to the shower block because he was unable to walk back to the new pitch section. He parked his vehicle out of the way and was told by staff that he couldn't park there . His car wasn't in anyones way and he tried to explain as to the reason only to be told that he should have booked a disable pitch he told them he had asked at time of booking but was told there wasn't any available . Hence he booked a fully serviced pitch thinking he wouldn't be too far from the shower block but the new pitch's are way too far away from the shower block. By the time he had done explaining to the first warden he had been joined by the other male warden and a female warden who were all giving him what for. Now this to me tanatamounts to bullying. He was finally told not to park there again or he would be given an ASBO ! For heavens sake this poor man didn't deserve all this. Seems that the staff are very nit picky. As for our experience we were told on booking in that we could eat in the tiled area of the conservatory overlooking the pool and take our little dogs with us.This was appreciated until we did and whilst we had sat right in the corner so as to be away from other people - which there were very few, one of our little dogs had laid down on the tiles but her feet were on the carpet. I asked the young man who collected our plates if dogs were allowed in the lounge seating area only to be told no and that our little one shouldn't have her feet on the carpet. So all in all whilst Cromer is nice and the site is also the staff could be give a bit of leeway. Our dogs are clean . never muddy and are treated for fleas etc can the same be said for assisted dogs which apparently allowed in the whole bar area. Based on this our return is doubtful.

Comment from The Club:

Many thanks for writing a review. The Site staff have been in touch as they work hard to ensure everyone is happy on site and want to address your concerns and clear up any misunderstandings.

During the school holidays people stay for long periods of time and do not always lift the ground sheets. Subsequently, the grass dies and leaves muddy pitches. Unfortunately the site has to turn dozens of members away at this time of year as the site is so full. If the grass pitches were removed, it would sadly mean turning dozens more away when the majority of people are more than happy with the pitch. However, if members are unhappy with their pitch, the site staff are always willing to help wherever they can. Members can turn their outfit round so their door does not open on to the muddy area. The member is advised that they can move the following day to a more suitable pitch and as a last resort, they are offered a refund which is very rarely taken up as they are happy with the alternative options. Please be assured no one is barred if they decide to leave the site and we’re not sure where this information came from. The wardens want happy people on site and do not wish members to leave the site unhappy.

In relation to the member parking by the shower block, please note if anyone has any issues with mobility we ask them to speak to the wardens who will always do their utmost to help and assist. In this instance the member was parked close to a fire exit, blocking the exit through this gate. The car was also parked on a pathway which resulted in pedestrians having to negotiate around the car and into the road. Outfits arriving had to pull to the wrong side of the road in order to get round this car. Please note the site staff have a duty of care to all members and this was very clearly a Health and Safety issue. The member was advised of all of the above and was offered the option of parking on the grass opposite to the toilet block as long as he wasn't causing an obstruction and ensured he didn't contravene the 3 metre requirement. Please be assured, nobody threatened him with an ASBO. For future reference please be aware that the site staff need to make sure that everyone is safe on site and they always do their utmost to assist wherever they can and try and ensure that members staying at Seacroft have an enjoyable holiday.

In relation to the dogs in the Complex, The Club allows members to take their dogs with them by having an area of the restaurant where members can eat with their dogs. As not all members are dog lovers, this enables members to enjoy a meal away from dogs if they so wish, but likewise it enables other members to eat in the complex without having to leave their dogs behind.

We hope this helps explain and clear up any misunderstanding.

Great location

Was a little unsure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Great location - mins from beach & Cromer, good bus links. Wardens keep site very clean & do like to stick to the rules! Hard standing pitches can be extremely small, even those with awning space. The toilet block needs a refurb - toilets block on a regular basis, old style shower cubicals, broken hairdryers. Area outside pot wash floods when heavy rain - v dangerous in dark (I slipped & fell) drainage needs assessing. The pool is a great addition however the shower is very poorly placed - no drain so excess water & soap flows back into the pool, a drain would prevent this. In all we had a great break & would go back.

Seacroft Squash

Should start review with the fact that we (family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers) had a fantastic holiday. The weather was great for first 2 weeks of August and this certainly did help overcome some issues we had with the site. And of course the wardens were so friendly and helpful and absolutely none of the negatives were down to them. Sadly these are the negatives at the time we stayed were a) poor water pressure. This affected both the toilet block and service points. b) The size of the toilet block. Queued each time we went for a shower, even when we tried random times. We assume that as the new caravan pitches are serviced that this is why the toilet block has not been expanded or a new one built. I can say that we regularly saw people walking round from serviced pitches to have a shower. Add the tent campers and you may see why the facilities are under pressure. c) the pitch sizes. We booked a pitch with awning, found that the pitches we had choice of were either next to a service point or a hardstanding (20) that was so small we could hardly fit on. We had to move the car every time we wanted to get to the aquaroll or waste. d) the dog walk. Really not suitable for purpose, especially when children were using it to play hide and seek ! That all sounds quite picky but this is a premium site. So positives then, the club house served some good value tasty food and was lovely to pop into for a drink. We found lots of lovely dog friendly beaches, locally (East Runton) and wider afield, Holkam was our favorite. We loved crabbing at Blakeney, seal spotting near Horsey Windpump, Sherringham Park and fish and chips in Cromer.

Close to Town

Just returned from a weekend at Seacroft and what a windy one it was.  Staff were very helpful and pleasant however be aware that the site office closes at 5pm!!!  Site is very cramped and you do feel like you are on top of each other and there is no privacy from the caravan next door as a very open structure.  Lovely walk into cromer along the sea front tho.

Great

Site was busy, in fact full, but it did not feel crowded. We thought the wardens were lovely, nice little walk into Cromer for shops and Cromer Crab, fabulous. Tried to stay longer but no luck.We would definitely go back to this site it is in a great position and well kept

Another great holiday

We have visited this site frequently always over the August bank holiday period, and it never disappoints us. On arrival we were greeted by friendly wardens Mark and Lynn and check in was smooth and easy, we didnt arrive before 12 as there is little space for no more than about 6 vans, we then found our pitch no 59 which was a good size grass pitch. The toilets were clean and up to usual caravan club standard. Every where was kept clean and tidy. I feel I must also mention assistant wardens Mark and Steve really friendly and hardworking. there was a really good team of wardens this year be nice if it could be like that on all sites. The negative there are not enough showers know the site has been extended, we always seened to be queuing no matter what time of day so I think shower block needs extending. The pool was clean and quite warm, the club was good and food good value but I do feel they should have specials on the menu such as Cromer crab, the entertainment was ok, but finished on the Sunday before bank holiday Monday which I think it should have at least have lasted till then. A good place to eat is the Dozy Doormouse in East Runton good local food at reasonable prices and good service here they do offer local Cromer crab. This site is a great family friendly site and well worth a visit as it is in an ideal location, Cromer and the beach are within walking distance.

August Bank Holiday

First visit to the site. Pitches not 'standard' club layout & some in the middle of grass area with small vehicle lanes , seemed a strange way to layout. We had a good sized pitch 39 , but was quite tired & sloping. Pool was busy but looks a great addition. Club house was also good , didn't try food but seemed fair price. was good to be able to take dog in but tiled area is far to small, close to pool table & so was full of families. You are not able to see any entertainment from here so we left soon. If this is only area for dogs should be some priority. Great location for walking into Cromer , down on seafront in no time. wardens very friendly & helpful. this is an ideal site for families & not surprising for bank holiday was full. I would go again with site vouchers but it is not up to normal club standard , it feels very similar to any other commercial site which I have never experienced before at CC . It needs some investment & if I was paying cash I would have been very disappointed, as there are much better beach sites on the network (based on our preference).
