a last minute weekend in August

We decided to take a last minute weekend away last week.  There was unsurprisingly almost nothing available within a reasonable distance from home on the website.  Took a gamble and called, the warden who i spoke to confirmed he could get us in on an awning pitch for Friday to Monday (called on Monday) . The site was obviously very busy, but perfect for the kids, play park and pool, a 20 minute walk into Cromer, a walk to the Beach, clean, tidy and once nearing 2300 quiet Loved it and will be back, as not a difficult drive of 98 miles each way and a great site, with very nice wardens and clean modern facilities.

Good old-style family holiday

This was our 3rd visit to this site and each time it has been significantly improved. We stayed on the new serviced pitch area where the pitches are wide, the layout is generous and maximises the sea views, and the overall design is great. The only downside was the ropey internet connection, which is a major disappointment in a newly constructed area. We took our grandchildren with us on this visit, as did many of the families there, so it was a bit noisier than we're used to, and there did seem to be some lack of supervision of youngsters around 10 - 14 years, especially after dark, but our grandchildren liked the more lively atmosphere! When full, the central grass area looks very cramped and untidy with pitches running in different directions, so I couldn't recommend a grass pitch there. Location is perfect, and wardens were cheerful and helpful.

Great site

We stayed on this site for a week in June on one of the new serviced pitches. The new area is fab with good sized pitches and a view of the sea in the distance from some. The site is a short walk away from Cromer and you can catch a bus outside the site for Sherringham. All in all a great stay and We would definitely come again especially to one of the new pitches.

Great place to stay

I had a 13 night stay at the fantastic seacroft club site.  As always in the past years a lovely warm welcome on arrival from the wardens as always along the new assistant wardens.  Loved my stay the standards on site even though bigger has not dropped.  Every morning, afternoon and evening greeted with a waive.  This year has been the best year more so for the assistant wardens no moaning always happy to help even when not on duty a real breath of fresh air job well done to Mark and Steve along with main warden Lynn and mark and wish them all well on the next adventure an asset to the caravan club The club house always clean and great to see misterfied again missed him last year along with much more entertainment.   The pool area again very clean and always manned with a life guard.  This year my daughter was a much better swimmer and felt able to leave her in the pool to play and sit on the chairs provided.  I felt safe with the knowledge a life guard is always in attendance and watching the children constantly aware of danger putting the children as their priority.   Another job well done to Sarah and her staff Once again Seacorft has pulled it off again.  Another fantastic year.  Thank you from the Purnell family

Nice staff

Just come back from this site, and I'm afraid I wasn't that impressed. Felt the pitches were very tightly packed on,and the roads on the site were not as wide as other sites we have stayed on. Which made us very close to our neighbours. The site is however excellent for children! The swimming pool was good..however the  person I was told was the  "lifeguard" when I was there for 2 hours, spent his time with headphones in his ears with his eyes closed most of the time.?! Some of my family stayed on the tent side of the site, which was covered in what I was told was rabbit holes!..very treacherous walk to the toilet in the night. I thankfully use my caravan facilities, however my family in their tents needed to use on sites. After queuing some mornings for half hour they said the showers were a trickle on some days. For the amount of pitches you have I would definitely recommend that you look at extending the shower block! However, I have to say the staff were incredibly friendly and very kind to the children. I'm afraid we won't be using sea croft again.

Grandparents Heaven

We have just returned from a great weeks stay with the grandchildren. The entertainment for the children was spot on, Rolo involved the children and parents to a very high standard. Though the restaurant was excellent the children's menu was limited and on our last day we decided to have a breakfast and there was nothing for children. The toilet block was adequate for the old site but needs extending due to the new pitches which are excellent. The CC staff were excellent and very approachable and made time for the children. We are already planning next years trip and really looking forward to it. The area has everything for children within walking distance which means the car can stay at the van.

Excellent but.......

We have just returned from a week here at Seacroft. The site is clean, the CC staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. Easy walking distance to Cromer. But....... the site 'houses' 111 pitches but only has 6 showers for the whole site - Spotlessly clean but inadequate for the numbers of visitors in peak season. Food in the club house was top notch but the childrens baloon entertainer was a disgrace! He was rude with the children, he referred to a lady that got up and walked out as 'the stripper' and when he asked a child where they was from and the child answered Peterborough he looked at the audiance and mouthed 'S**thole'. I simply couldnt believe that this was on offer for children - he certainly broke so many Safeguarding rules that it seemed irrelevant to him. Needless to say we didnt stay in the club and didnt visit it again. Come on CC check out your childrens entertainers!

Comment from The Caravan Club:

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased you enjoyed Seacroft Caravan Club Site but we are sorry to hear that you had concerns regarding the balloon entertainer. We would like to assure you that all entertainers on all Club Sites are booked through entertainment agencies and as part of The Club’s due diligence they are all DBS checked. However, The Caravan Club takes such concerns such as this very seriously and as a result we have taken the decision not to use this particular entertainer on site again. I hope this helps address your concerns and thank you again for leaving a review.

Friendly and fantastic

Hi all, me and my wife and little girl just came home from a visit to shell island, Sherwood Forest, and Norfolk, we stayed at this site , just a short walk into Cromer for the day , crabbing on the pier and visiting , shops, fair etc, loads to do and lovely walks in the sun, the site was amazing , we met a few fellow campers who were really friendly, as most caravan club sites to be honest, the pool was great, as was the food in the entertainment building( and drink), they put on a Punch and Judy show for the children which was just as entertaining for us adults, got the children really involved, then a good game of bingo and then an entertainer by the name of G was on who was amazing, had us in tears of laughter, ( different things on each night)the site is a breath of fresh air and the staff are very helpful and polite, we will be booking every year now well worth a look, hope g will be there next year too :) our 6 year old made many friends and did not want to leave, same as us to be honest, thankyou seacroft

Good family site

Great for families. Heated pool really good and evening entertainment enjoyed by our grandchildren. WC facilities limited now that site has been extended and very disappointed that there is only 1 washing machine and 1 dryer for 111 pitches. There is also only 1 sink in which to do laundry. These facilities need to be enlarged. Having said that, we would revisit the site with our grandchildren as it was ideal for them.

Fantastic stay

We have just enjoyed a great stay at seacroft. The new pitches are lovely and the whole site had a nicely relaxed feel to it, quite European! The rules are all there but the site isn't plastered with posters with do's and dont's like some other sites. The wardens were all super, friendly and really helpful. Complete mix of ages staying on the site and it was just a stay with a wonderful atmosphere. The only improvement would possibly be the addition of another toilet block.
