Once again a lovely holiday

As the title hints at we had a lovely time. We had 3 grandsons and a daughter with us for the first week and thanks in some part to the weather we had a lot of visits to the pool. Not recommended if you want to swim lengths. More of a play pool. Nearby Mundesley has a really lovely beach. Steep walk down and feels even steeper up! Car park may seem a bit pricey but if you pay for all day it’s £7. Pleasant walk into Cromer or East Runton. Had not realised we could not get in before 1 so turned up before that. Wardens were a bit put out but accommodating. Will not do that again as we realise the reason behind the decision. The bar and restaurant are not too pricey and there is also a take away service. Already booked for next year as grandsons love it. Ages 7,5 and 3. Apologies to all who camped near our boisterous boys!

Disappointed

Not a good welcome at all just asked for members card, restaurant overpriced and a long wait on food people getting food before us that ordered after us. Only found one member of staff help during our stay. People drinking in the pool including the infants pool, very drunk and still being served, life guard do nothing so had to take my kids out and went to another pool locally . Found our day before departure that they had me down as leaving on Sunday not Monday which was sorted out but lady at reception was rude and assumed my explanation was accusing her for the mistake but I was just explaining why we had not left. Would not re-book worst experience of a club site ever in my years of being a member.

Super seaside site

We were recommended this site by a fellow member whilst at Clumber Park and I’m pleased to report it even exceeded our high expectations. As per other reviews the wardens were excellent, the site was well run, very tidy and done without any hint of job’s worthiness. The site facilities were also excellent, we made daily use of the very child friendly pool. The restaurant food was reasonably priced and of good quality (chicken wings in bbq sauce, highly recommended) and handy for when you wanted to take it easy. Several of the staff in the restaurant also deserve recognition, they were very good with our young children and helpful in suggesting alternatives on one occasion when some dishes were unavailable. It was our first visit to Norfolk and other than roads connecting it the rest of the UK, it was a great experience and likely one we will repeat in future years.

Super seacroft

They say arrive at 1pm for a reason. So many were seen to arrive at 12pm. If I was a warden I turn them round and kick them out!! Sadly the wardens were lovely, too nice really. But as more complain I am sure the early birds will be given the heav ho. After all its quite clear in the instructions and I am sure for a good reason. A great site, clean and tidy. We were on top, the new section. exposed to wind and full sun, ok pitch. sadly the bollard was the wrong side for us, so it made it awkward running water etc. Don't need TV lead here van aerial is OK. The bar ok, no bookings accepted, good food and value. Pool ok for cooling off in, don't expect to swim lengths :) Small inflatables ok, the life guard has a habit of wandering off leaving the pool unattended. Easy and dog friendly walk to Cromer or via the beach. Cross road turn right follow foot path via the statics which keeps you off the road longer. Down the slipway and you are away. Very happy with this site. Arrive via Cromer town, don't chance a cut through. The East Runton bottle neck is bad. We have already rebooked. Well done the Club, and again some lovely campers on site.

Excellent family destination

Our third trip to this excellent site was not disappointing. We were given a very warm welcome by the most helpful wardens we have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble. Our young teenage grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the pool, though I have to report that it was not as clean as I would have liked towards the end of the week. I did bring this to the attention of the wardens who mentioned it to the staff responsible. We did try the Wanderer bar, and had a meal. It was acceptable pub food with a good choice. The Junior menu was great for the children. The only negative thing I would like to mention was beyond the control of the wardens and that was a very arrogant party who had an electric fan blowing outside - in the heat it made no difference and I found that an excessive waste of electricity, which in the end we all pay for. Will we return ? That would be a ‘yes’.

Please arrive at 1!

We received the friendliest of welcomes from the wardens on our arrival at 1pm on a very busy day. Evidently vans had been arriving since midday and queuing back onto the road - a real safety hazard and inconvenience to locals and visitors alike. I would have been thoroughly grumpy that so many people seem not to read their booking details or information on the website, but the wardens were resolutely cheery. Come on fellow clubbers - let’s do our bit to keep the sites running smoothly and abide by the rules.

Excellent

We have visited this site on two occasions and on each occasion have been impressed by the cleanliness and the helpful wardens. Such an ideal site for children with the beach so nearby and Cromer within walking distance. Would not hesitate recommending to other.

10th Annual Visit

Our grandkids just love this site, so much so that even after annual visits for the last 10 years they've insisted we book again for next year. Great pool, clubhouse and play area. Wonderful, caring Wardens help create a warm, family atmosphere. It's just a short delightful walk into Cromer along the cliff tops or the Coast Hopper bus stops outside the site. Plus in all the time we've been coming we've had less than a handful of days with poor weather.

The Jewel in the Caravan clubs Crown

We have just stayed here for 4 days and this is the best site we have stayed on for the following reasons, in no particular order: The site is a very close walk to the centre of Cromer, the beach and Norfolk coastal path There is a lovely heated pool on site with full time lifeguard The site bar and restaurant is very good value with drinks regular pub prices The food at the restaurant is very good, especially the pizza The entertainment when available is good to watch , it is free after all The site is spotless The staff are a treasure and make it very welcoming, especially the Seacroft quotes of the day The site is spacious with some sea views, we didn't get one but did not spoil our stay at all Caravan club please use this site as a model for all

Nice site

Easy access to site even though you drive via Cromer town. Everything burnt to a crisp due to the hot weather but the wardens do a good job. Music in Wanderer Bar most nights which in some cases was dreadful so you had to have a sense of humour. Reasonable priced drinks. Swimming pool a plus in the hot weather. Our stay was spoilt by a supposed "regular" who thought they could play their radio very loud every day, so no peace for anyone. Ruined World Cup as he set up his tv in awning with all doors off and blaring sound and then decided to watch Grand Prix. He just turned it off or down when he heard/saw wardens coming. Again dog owners decided to use everyone else pitches to toilet their dogs. One chap used a patch of grass right next to someone's awning for his daily dog toilet. When someone else stopped outside his van with their dog, his wife didnt seem very happy - double standards? You can tell a responsible dog owner, short lead and brisk walk straight to dog walk. Others long lead just meandering around the site with no intention of using the dog walk. Some don't even walk them, just defecate on their own pitch. Motorhome had seven border terriers, owner could barely walk herself, so why so many dogs, needless to say the pitch became a dog toilet. CC need to get a grip and limit to two dogs per pitch.
