excellent

An excellent site made better by the Staff . Most polite and helpful camping and Bar/Restaurant helpers . Book this site if you can , especially when they are able to open all their facilities.Ignore the lower review , it is difficult to understand what people expect !

Friendly and safe

This was my first post lockdown outing in my VW campervan with my dog Bay so a single night only. My first impression was friendly, clean and well organised. Everything felt safe. The site was pretty full, but even so, not noisy although there was plenty of activity with children and dogs. All politely done and I, and my german shepherd, felt welcome. I achieved my aim of some beach / sea time even though it was blowing a hoolie.

short break at the sea side

Just returned from Seacroft after a lovely 4 night stay. We would like to say a big thank you to the very hard working wardens who didn't seem to stop. A mention too and a thank you to the lady who went round each day sanitising every hard surface even the safety rails out side the toilets and the dog loo bin. This is a good site for exploring the Norfolk coast and we will be back soon.

Overrated and over priced for basic facilities

Diverted from Dover Ferry last minute because of COV 19 quarantine in France so decided to have two weeks on East Coast. Seacroft being the only Caravan and Motorhome club site used other sites we used were fantastic, better value and much better facilities. Soooooo disappointed this site clearly lives on its reputation as one fo the busiest within club....but much better ones out there than here, don't normally whinge but don't want others to have same experience! Here we go... Only one washing machine for entire site (most good sites have three) oh and theirs did not work we were their 4 nights!! Biggest whinge none for their premium hard standing pitches which they charge extra for are no where near level, one of them even with wedges could not get level...if you have a Caravan no problem but motorhomes a nightmare!! Real pain everytime we went out had to level up which took ages!! Their CoV19 rules/systems/set up was a nightmare...we take COV19 serious... always sanitizing, where face masks in public places, social distance etc but they were over the top...no mmes urinal at least have one! No hand dryers not even paper towels to help...the list goes on!! Reception I did not find helpful or enthusiastic despite many good reviews but the bar/restaurant staff very helpful and friendly. One big tick though it was spotlessly clean and we felt very safe in that knowledge. Would not recommend this site or return!!!

Lovely site

Booked for a couple of days away and found it to be a really nice site, well maintained, clean and good pitch spaces. Very pleasant staff who had Covid measures managed very well. Pleasantly surprised for a large site with lots of nice hedges and more private feeling pitches. Busy so we were limited with choice but still found space around us good and easy to level motorhome. In August there seemed to be lots of returners who have been coming to the site for many years which is great to meet up with old friends although one downside of this was that a lot of people seemed to talk across other pitches and were less than considerate at just how much noise they made throughout the whole day and evening (sometimes quite late) but as so close to Cromer we just went and left them to it or went inside motorhome. Had a take away from the Wanderer and felt it was fine and quite enough to eat for a main meal and not overly expensive considering it was on our doorstep. Beer good value and well kept. Good having a dog exercise area and clearly lots of folk with their pets but it didn't interfere with enjoyment and yes, quite a few kids but it is August and they were not too noisy at all. Certainly return again having had our initial doubts about travelling in August fully quashed. Would recommend.

Great place for a beach holiday

Booked here nervously for a short stay, we needn't have worried! All the C19 procedures are well communicated and easy to follow, we felt safe and confident. Site itself is fab! Most grass pitches have a bit of a slope, all hard standing looked level. Facilities were excellent, staff friendly and efficient which meant a well maintained site. Short walks to East Runton beach one way and Cromer the other way meant easy to get out and about. Plenty of good quality cafes and restaurants around although we ate twice from the onsite restaurant and it was excellent - takeaway only at the moment but really well thought out. We'll be back next year!

Despite COVID-19 a lovely holiday

Just returned from a week at this lovely site. Booking in was made simple by the wardens as was just about everything else. We had 2 takeouts from the Wanderer which were good. The weather was superb. Wristbands for facilities worked well with not too many queues. Site was really tidy and well maintained. Loads of sanitation on site at water/ waste areas. There was a funfair in the field adjacent to the site but it didn’t bother us. It opened at 6pm and shut promptly at 10pm. It is there until the end of August. Can’t wait for our next visit. It was just nice to be out. Thank you to everyone who helped make our holiday a happy one.

Few days away.

Really good to get away to the seaside.Easy to find and good access from busy road.Nice to get choice of pitch . after going into pay,I expected to phone.Just about level with bit of seaview via trees.Far too many children racing round site on bike, even some in the dark.8 yes 8 unsupervised children playing football in empty pitch. They didn't like it when I stood by my van trying to keep ball away. Takeaway closed Monday and Tuesday.a bit pricey for what you get.But it made a change. Good system in toilet block if you watch what time you go. Stay safe.

Great place to visit

This was our first time out with our new camper van, and I don't think we could have chosen a better site to visit. The site is spotlessly clean and maintained to a very high standard. The staff are really helpful and polite. The food from the wanderer bar (only take away at the moment) was very good and tasty. Close to Cromer as well. Brilliant.
