Seacroft recommended

Seacroft is an excellent site well designed and operated, the current wardens Alan Karen are / were doing a fantastic job despite some of the members who disregarded the current precautions with regard to social distances! We have just had almost 2 weeks of looking at a different set of walls, difficult time’s experienced by all, despite end of season Seacroft remains very popular. I have been involved with the general public for most of my working life, I recognise the difficulties with the operation, all done easily and efficiently and most importantly safety. Safety is the bus-word and that has been accomplished quite correctly to the advantage of all should they realise it. Many thanks to the club, the wardens who I believe are retiring this year, have a happy retirement both of you your efforts are appreciated! Many thanks

Lovely site, warm welcome, great for motorhomes.

Our first stay at this site and certainly not our last, wardens were very welcoming and helpful, pitches are great for motorhomes needing little or no levelling. Good access to local area by bus which stops directly outside the site (literally!). Busses to Norwich (£6.50 return), Holt and other places well worth visiting in the area. A short 10 minute stroll will see you on the cliff tops at Cromer and further 2 minutes will have you in the small but well serviced town centre. Access for less able bodied via a 1-2 minute bus ride from directly outside the site gates. The way the facilities are being run is as good as it could be, very easy to understand and it made the facilities available 99% of the time we were on site (4 nights), a credit to the wardens here as they were maintained to the highest possible level throughout our stay so well done and thank you for that. Mobile signal was mixed depending on network but wi-fi available from the club. TV signal good and also an on-site bar/restaurant (take away only at the time of writing this). Other facilities were closed due to being out of season, but a dip in the swimming pool in October might be your thing? Overall a great site and I would recommend this without hesitation.

One of our favourite sites

A great warm welcome from Karen who as always offers and warm and friendly welcome. A well managed and well-organised site which runs like clockwork – credit to the hard working wardens who work hard to comply with covid precautions. Site runs smoothly and the staff never stop their daily maintenance always with a smile, even in the October rain. The toilets and showers were immaculate and using the CMC wristband system which works well - as long as everyone remembers!. Sanitisers at the service point though we were on a fully serviced pitch didn’t need to use frequently. The Wanderer restaurant was closed for table service but takeaways were available – I can thoroughly recommend the takeaway menu and especially the Sunday roast. The whole site was spotless the wardens, bar staff and chef’s were all polite and helpful all working under difficult and strange circumstances. If the club had a ‘wardens of the year’ Karen and Alan would be top of the list- superb hosts. We love this site because it’s easy to walk into Cromer and East Runton, love beach to enjoy beach walks.

October 2020

It was our first time at Seacroft always full when we tried to book before. now we know why What a fantastic site, A great warm welcome from the wardens at check in great pitch . The wanderer offering takeaway service busy when we were there. Great play area for kids. Used our own facilities but did notice regular sanitising by the wardens. Bus stops outside the entrance both ways , but a short walk into Cromer if you We feel energetic. Definitely one of our favourite sites now.

October Again!

It seems to becoming a bit of a habit to visit this site in October! Circumstances very different this year because of COVID and the principle reason we returned again this year as we could do our own thing and get out and about from the site with minimum contact. Arrival and Reception was well organised. First time of using the venue QR code for the NHS COVID App. We used our own facilities so can't comment of the toilet block. There was sanitiser at the service point which was good. As I mentioned the site was chosen because it is easy to get off site by foot and we walked into Cromer a couple of times and also a shorter walk to East Runton where there are some nice seats overlooking the sea. The restaurant was closed for table service but takeaways were available on certain days of the week. When oh when are the Club going to allow us to book a hardstanding pitch, they are almost alone in the industry in not allowing this! To be sure of a hardstanding pitch, essential at this time of year with a motorhome, I have yet again had to pay extra for a serviced pitch, perhaps that is the Club plansurprised

Relax

We have recently visited Seacroft unfortunately our caravan sprang a leak and we returned home on the second day of 10. We were well received enjoyed a really good pitch and plan to return both in November & December. The staff were outstanding two members we’ll worthy of mention Karen and her husband, were outstanding. First time out this year due to COVID-19, the place ran like clockwork. The popularity is backed up by the bookings. We think our van is fixed and will be out in November. Really looking forward to it. If possible I would nominate both of the above for any recognition the club makes in these difficult circumstances. Jools

No Puddles!

Just returned from a 3 night stay, our first on this site having diverted from nearby Incleboro club site that has very limited hardstanding. Weather forecast was poor prior and during stay so was concerned about ground conditions. No problem here as all pitches appeared to drain well. Limited contact with site staff who were friendly and efficient in the current circumstances. Toilet block system seemed to be working well even though the site was pretty full. Can appreciate the attraction of the site to motorhomers especially as it is in easy walking distance to Cromer and the beach at East Runton. Landscaping wise the site is neat and tidy but perhaps a little too plain without many trees & shrubs. Pool closed and did not use the onsite takeaway service so cannot comment on them.

Expensive for what it’s able to offer now

First outing post lockdown in August so bit apprehensive as to what to expect. From previous reviews it sounded like a great place for families and kids however since covid has kicked in, there are no facilities that other sites don’t have which are generally cheaper. The dog exercise area would only be fit for a chihuahua and was very disappointing, luckily the greensward is a short distance away. It is clearly a well-managed and well-organised site and the staff worked hard to comply with covid precautions. The toilets and showers were immaculate however the wristband system only works when users pay attention - people often forget to take theirs so you’d be waiting outside needlessly or they take yours instead! The location is the best thing with a pleasant 15 min walk into Cromer but I don’t particularly think it’s value for money.

What a great and well managed campsite

We were lucky to book a pitch for 2 weeks in September and are loving our stay. After a warm welcome from Karen we settled into a flat and fully serviced pitch. Everything works well and the staff never stop their maintenance of the site and the cleaning of the facilities. As a result the loos and showers are spotless. There are some restrictions which mean the hand dryers are not available because of Covid 19 issues - but these are safeguards put in place by the CAMC head office so there’s not much point in blaming the excellent site staff as another reviewer did. From this well placed site we have walked to Overstrand and cycled to Holt and Letheringsett and more easily to Felbrigg Hall which is well worth a visit. We have enjoyed the welcoming Wanderer bar which serves a range of dishes and an excellent draught lager. There is much to do in North Norfolk and Seacroft makes an ideal base.
