Missed the entrance on the first pass, despite comprehensive instructions in the handbook! Very warm welcome from the wardens, and comprehensive instructions on how to choose a pitch. One quick lap( at 5mph) and we settled on a sunny hard standing.
Helpful advice on dog walking, which we tried later in the afternoon, and on longer walks in the locality. Sanfacs excellent, as you would expect from the CC, and the rest of the site well tended. We enjoyed our 5 night stay, and were well pleased with the tranquility. Very much a site for the third agers, as no real facilities for children, but good for night halt or longer stay. We shall visit again.
Our first visit to a caravan club site and we were very impressed
We had a beautiful spot in the sunshine. Good walk for the dogs. Friendly and helpful wardens. Not far from either Salisbury or Andover. Enjoyed a cup of tea at the Apache cafe at the museum of army flying, sat on the terrace watching the helicopters and light planes. Also good walking at Danebury hill fort and the test way at Stockbridge.

The only CC Site to stay at in this area (literally)
A very pretty site and I imagine it would be even more so in the summer. We stayed last week. After searching for a CC campsite in the area we realised this was the only one that we could practically stay at for visiting the town of Salisbury on our way back homewards. It was nice to learn that Stonehenge was just 15 miles away so we went one Eve on the way to the shops. We passed through the nearby village of Over Wallop. You must visit the White Hart pub there. As we passed it seemed they were celebrating the Queen's birthday on the front lawn. A very quaint village indeed. The Warden was very pleasant and helpful and as always couldn't fault the cleanliness and warmth of the shower block.

Great for a short break or an en route stopover
There is a limited number of hard standing pitches which means the grass gets a bit churned up in wet weather and due to the hillside location it can be a bit of a uphill walk to the toilet block/showers. These couple of negatives aside, we thought this was a lovely little site. We particularly liked the way the pitches are set out in little groups to make the most of the geography. This gives a much more private, secluded feel to the site. The site is easy to find and although the access lane is a little on the narrow side, it is very short and really should not cause any problems. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others

Little Get Away Gem
I was looking for a club site that would enable me to visit a relative that was in hospital in Salisbury. I booked this site for that reason, and it certainly fulfilled that requirement, and more. My pitch faced an area of open farmland and was so quiet, the only sound was birdsong. I took levelling blocks as advised on the site blurb, but didnt need them for where I was, although I could see a need for them on many of the other pitches. There was a good dog walk from the site with an open field available for some off lead exercise. The facilities were kept clean and tidy, although were a bit of a walk up hill from my pitch!
I do not have children, but cant imagine this would be particularly good for families. The wardens were very friendly, kind and helpful. I will definitely be back for another visit.
Comments regarding stock at the site shop
We had a very pleasant stay at this site last week.
We noted that the site shop had a sign outside listing basic food item it sold with 'milk' being at the top.
However on mid Monday afternoon when we went to buy some milk we were amazed to be told that 'there might be some on Wednesday!!!'. The nearest external shop to the site was a good 10 minute drive away. We try and support the site shops when staying on them but will think again next time!
Birds song
It is great to wake up with Birds singing in the woods, a small but friendly campsite for a base to get out and about, Not a place for bicycles on this road with care side roads are ok.
Nice staff helpful and plenty to see with a bus service of sorts.

Wardens could not have been more helpful to a young family on their first trip away. What seemed scaring was made to feel very friendly and we were immediately put at ease. Clean environment and facilities with lovely views. 4 ur old son loved exploring the woods

Lovely bank holiday stay
A lovely little site with beautiful views. Nice pitches and very well set out. The wardens are very friendly and helpful, and the little shop is good if you've forgotten any basics! We didn't use the wash rooms but if they are anything like other Caravan Club sites they will be great.
