A pleasant stay

We enjoyed our stay at this very well kept site. Ideally situated for visiting the beautiful city of Salisbury.

Excellent clean site

Our first experience of a Caravan Club site, and what a joy. Friendly wardens (and deputy team); excellent and clean facilities and a wonderful tree lined layout. Very impressed and we very much enjoyed our 2 visits.

Lovely small site

A very well managed site, spotless facilities, the wardens are lovely, we had a lovely pitch in the trees, and enjoyed the four days we stayed, the Dog walk is slightly overgrown,no more than most footpaths, this time of the year, but we managed to use it,a walking pole was useful to knock the nettles back. We enjoyed our stay.

Dog Walk

Site is nice for a few days day only, you need to drive everywhere has there's no where to walk.  My main issue is: when you arrive you are told has dog owners that you must use the dog walk, the dog walk is completely over grown with nettles etc.  I did complain about this and was told it's not there land so they are not allowed to maintain it.  So I don't think they should have put signs put to say this is a dog walk.  Some people did try and walk it and ended up with painful nettle rash.

Good Location for visiting the Area

This is a lovely site. It has a great set up with each of the pitch areas and the wardens were very nice. We enjoyed the site and the local area is really accessible from Pubs, to National Trust / Heritage sites as well as Salsibury itself. There is not much access off the site (walking) with a Main road and Fields to the north and an overgrown footpath to the south, so it wasn't easy to walk anywhere far. Although on a hill-side all the pitches were level and well maintained.

Peaceful

Stayed here for one night to enable a trip to Stonehenge. Lovely quiet and peaceful site. As always with CC sites well kept and nice clean toilet block. The toilet block is a bit of a walk if you are at the bottom of the site. My two girls aged 10 and 7 enjoyed scooting round the site, and is great for a short break with the family, but would not stay longer than about 4/5 days with a family unless you had plans to go out and about all the time. Would definitely stay again for a short break. Keep an eye out for the entrance right next to a small car sales. Easily missed!

Great little site

Have visited this site a few times now and it never lets you down. The wardens are always friendly and helpful and the toilet block is spotless. Yes you do have to drive a bit to get to places but, if you are after that peace and quiet then this is the place. Also if you turn left out of the site and turn left on to the A30, Tilshead caravans are just down the road. Which has been great for us as we are now getting a new caravan, not what we planned when we left for the weekend, but that's life. Booked again for a couple of weeks. See you soon.

Very peaceful

Lovely small site, only 50 pitches, set out in small areas, the site is on a slope, but you are warned of this before you visit. Many of the pitches are in shady areas, this can be lovely in hot weather, but not so good if it is wet, or even damp. Not suitable for children, as there are no play areas. Wardens were very helpful, and the site is beautifully kept, a lovely touch, is the mini herb garden, where you are welcome to pick 5 or 6 different types of herbs, to add to your meal. There is only 1 toilet block, and it is quite a walk, uphill, from the farthest pitches. There is a very limited bus service, outside the site, which could be useful. It is set in beautiful scenery, but everything is quite a car journey away. Salisbury is 15 mins away, NT Mottisfont is 30 mins away, but if you are happy to drive for 45 mins, there are lots and lots of things to see and do. If you want to sit and read, quietly this could be perfect for you.
