Nice and peaceful park, very clean but a little too over grown by the many tall trees lending to a less sociable atmosphere. Â That said we would visit again as to visit Salisbury it could not be better placed. Â Staff were vey approachable and friendly, thanks for a great weekend!
Nice site but quite hilly
We enjoyed our stay at Salisbury, the wardens were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were spotless. Dog walk was very good.
We were lucky to have a pitch at the top of the site where the Toilet block was situated, if you were pitched at the bottom of the site there is quite an uphill walk to get to them.

Hillside, Salisbury
I have been staying at this site for some 30 years! It has been very convenient for my many fly-fishing trips to the R. Avon.
I have met many wardens over these years and have watched as the facilities have improved in line with other sites according to the clubs finances.
The current wardens are amongst the best we have known and they keep the site immaculate, particularly the toilets. I wish I could say the same for certain members who consider it is their right to leave the toilets filthy. Only four days ago the disabled shower was full of mud, with muddy foot prints leading out, across the floor!
Be aware of the speed hump, that has been put in place by the owner of the garage, alongside whose site members must travel in order to reach the site. Anything more than walking pace will shake up the inside of your caravan.
This might, however, stop the speed maniacs that also visit!

Lovely place
Stayed here for one night on way home. We found it easily but it was still in a quiet and beautiful location. The wardens were very helpful and pleasant. The site was well maintained and shower block excellent and clean. I would recommend this to anybody thinking of staying in the area.
Friendly Wardens
Only stayed here for 1 night and found the wardens here to be very friendly, facilities spotless nicely spaced pitches. Would stay here again.
Lovely spot in Wiltshire
Ideal short break site with lots to investigate in the area. Compact site with narrow single file entrance.
Pitches are well spaced out with small groups of 3 or 4 in secluded wooded glades.
Would visit again
very friendly and helpful staff
Had a great time no problem for the family to visit us during our stay well maintained site and very clean facilities

OK for overnight
Convenient as an overnight stop for us but we wouldn't like a week here. Levelling blocks are a must have. Wardens and facilities are excellent. There is quite a bit of noise from the nearby road.
Star gazing
This site is the best one we have been to so fare. No light pollution from the camp site or surrounding area. The kids look could see the milky way like a road across the heavens. Perfect e will be visiting this site again.
Tranquility in Wiltshire
This was our first visits to this site which we used as a half way point from home to Brixham site. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and friendliness from all the wardens. This is a remote, quiet site with few facilities, a very small shop, no eating places within walking distance so if you do not want to move your motorhome the 2-3 miles to the nearest eaterie then be prepared! The site was immaculate and facilities spotless. The views were excellent overlooking Salisbury plain. Excellent for stop overs and a good central site for visiting the area. Not much for kids. The dog walking was a long very narrow public footpath. We would use again, particularly for overnight stops. Note, no late arrival facilities so ring ahead if you are going to be delayed!!
